  • Ummmmmm, Radiohead?

  • @DeepdownNZ radiohead on steroids bro

  • amazing!

  • This is a very weak version of what Ozric Tentacles does with full throttle. I vote on OT.

  • @maxvirax Wow never heard of them, just checked them out, pretty great, still love mutemath better though :)

  • I've been coming back to watch this video regularly since I first discovered it about two years ago. This never gets old.

  • Anyone can give me the lyrics?

  • wow... just absolutely wow

  • Come on !! Only 260k views ?? There are some zeros missing !!

  • Crazy awesome!!! Im going to see them at the Nokia Theatre in L.A next year. Cant wait. Odd Soul is great btw

  • This band makes their own instruments. Enough said.

  • Darren is the only drummer I know that has that small of a kit and still rocks epically.

  • I love to walk out in the cold and play this song on my headphones and sink in thoughts.

  • Haha the chords are so similar to radiohead's song "Everything in it's right place" look it up and tell me i'm wrong..

  • @jonjon11882 Dude when i herd this song i thought of Vanilla Sky momenterally :D

  • @jonjon11882 ha i noticed that, they're both c minor and sound kinda similar

  • @jonjon11882 wow. i'm a huge radiohead fan and i never realized this. i think it's because they keep the bass on the tonic C while the keyboard walks chromatically to the C# then D#. definitely not a ripoff by any means but yeah same ascending progression.

  • Why is that I start uncontrollably shaking my arms and dancing in my chair around the 3:40 mark or so? I can't help it. It grooves so effing hard, I can't help but freaking start losing it. It's like, I have to move before I blow one in my pants. This band is beyond the best thing ever.

  • real performance

  • good stuff im feelin it. i remember buyin there cd a while back still got it.

  • Boku yukino

  • Epic win. Brb, gonna go make a synth guitar at my workbench

  • After I listened to this song, my life was RESET!! :'D

  • And this is why they're my fav band!!!

  • I have an eargasm every time I hear this song O.O

  • Adventure is what we seek for all the time :) and this band gives u ORGASMIC adventure!

  • DEM DRUMS

  • Loose Virginity to this band!

  • @1234divyam now that would be an adventure

  • why do they sound more jazzy live? they replaced certain trip hop parts in the studio version with jazz

  • I love greg hill. such a good guitarist.

  • unreal, this is amazing

  • @LIGHTRONIX "unreal" ? are you Ozzie?

  • Sex Music.

  • WOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ahh i would love to have that equipment!!!

  • Thats a waste of a good drum set

  • 7 people are below the age of .7

  • these dudes are fuckin mindblowing live...

  • This is odd, I was just chilling on pandora where I only have stations set up for Underground Hip-Hop and Post-Metal when it gives me this, and let me just say, I Fucking love you pandora for showing me this.

  • What's the dude playing at 4:00 it kinda reminds me of a theremin...anyone know what it is?

  • why doesnt this get the attention that some awful pop music get?

  • @Counterivan1 cause a lot of pop music is mainstream. a lot of people listen to mainstream, you know, they follow the current. meanwhile, mutemath isnt mainstream, that i know of. so the people listening to them are not following the current. therefore, less views.

  • there are 7 deaf who dislike this video

  • Comment removed

  • Panowie rozjebali system =| !!

    <3 !!!

  • This is the kind of stuff that changes lives.

  • to be completely honest, i only clicked on the video link because i wanted to see Darren do the drums to this song live... it sounds and looks unreal. I can imagine what he's thinking "hey, where'd all my drums go" hahaha

  • my english teacher was right, the drummer is insanely good

  • I'm guessing this was the last show of their tour.

  • The fucking drummer.

  • no normal person could listen to all of the 6 minutes and 51 seconds of this. but an awesome person would replay it over and over and over

  • i'd like to know what device is producing those little stutter drum edits... awesome. is a little kaos pad-looks like the simple little akai sampler. im a drummer and would love to do this live with my bassist....singer whomever. the Rhodes work is also sweet.

  • The best band ever!

  • Amazing bass to this song.

  • You know the encore is done when your trap set is lying in a pile, your guitar is broken back stage, and your synth is out crowd surfing.

  • Six Silent Shadows - (ft. Akrios, Bizzlesnaff, Buddhist, Mahikosan, Saeyon, Unmercey)

    ..amazing :) cheers !

  • @30STMcwa wtf

  • @Pyamttoz check in google "Six Silent Shadows" ;)

  • Drums and rhodes in this live performance just killing me, Great!

  • They crossed the the line from awesome to legend when they handed the synth to the crowd.

  • its like there magicians

  • I like the part where Darren hit his drums.

  • The drum part is so sick on this song.

  • @jdfranklin2 That's Daren king for ya!

  • I love love love love love love love love times infinity love this song! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • best live show i've ever seen. beats all the big shows.

  • I love how they're all like "Hey you wanna play the keyboard on this part?"

  • These guys are sick, but I feel like they're drummer could kick it a little more

  • I like how they lightly trashed the stage at the end.

  • @snailboy38 This is one thing I hate bands doing: trashing gear. It's wasteful, disrespectful and egocentric bullshit. You've got this guy called Les Paul making beautiful artisan guitars to make amazing music with, then you've got some egocentric asshole destroying this on stage? I'm not saying that this happened here, but in general it makes me rage.

  • @trumpet90909 Well it all goes back to Jerry Lee Lewis, and later Hendrix, setting their instruments on fire as an artistic statement. Over time, increasingly stupid bands have done it for increasingly stupid reasons, and it's not artistic anymore, just destructive. That's why I loved this clip--they keep the artistic statement of chaos and destruction without any actual property damage.

  • @adudzik It might be just me, but I don't feel as if the energy on stage got anywhere high enough to justify destroying gear. Add to that, a lot of the stage energy here feels forced and contrived. Compare some of the live Berkley Hendrix recordings, or live RATM stage shows with this inner-sanctum feel... you see where I'm coming from? There's a lot of pretense and unnecessary flaunt going on here.

  • @trumpet90909 They didn't destroy gear, that was my point--the most violent thing I saw was a thrown drum throne. And it's pretty silly to compare this kind of performance to Hendrix or RATM, they're obviously going for something more low-key. Calling it pretense is also missing the point--all staged performance is pretense. So what? If you'd prefer to listen to punk rock, that's your business, but I think that this performance was brilliant given the band's artistic goals.

  • @trumpet90909 Its about not giving a fuck. It's meant to be an anti-establishment move, where the band does it because they aren't suppossed too. I agree it's wasteful, I wish they sent every trashed instrument here instead of wasting them but maybe he just felt like destroying some beautiful...

  • This is awesome, y'all crazy.

  • Meh.

  • band is bunch of dildos post rocking

  • Sometimes, when it comes to concepts and songwriting, simple wins.

  • @neocon70 Ok, post me a link once you have.

  • I love Roy's "Danny from the Shinning" hair cut. Looks so cool!

  • Anybody know if this was at OU in Norman? I think I was there - BAAD ASSS

  • @mmafighterhub this was in hollywood in 2006. I was there and it was awesome

  • @ruido I'm sorry to disaprove with you but if this was any other MTV 2000 band like you call it. Then all the albums they have brought out should sound more or the less the same as the previous album. Which is not true at all!!!. All the albums they have brought sound totally different from eachother. Every album is special and has it own sound. And I'm not even mentioning the live performances, which I sadly not had the chance to see them yet. (I'm not goint to insult you but listen better!

  • This song is simply great, but the plastirockstar tints that they use to put to their songs, specially in the chorus lines, bother me. It makes them sound like any other 2000's MTV band

  • @ruidovisual

    Fucking hipsters.

  • This is just... well I'm having difficulty in the adjective department.

  • AHHH que buena bandaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was looking for this band...all my life

  • Reminds me of Nirvana concert's somehow

  • Sounds a bit like Everything In Its Right Place by Radiohead...regardless it's a great song. Love the band and their inspirations.

  • 2:55 divine

  • Sublimes....

  • I love how the audience has no idea how to play that instrument..what is it? like a captain morgan gaffa taped to a plank, good stuff.

  • Two words. Darren King

  • This just blew my mind.. So intense.. And that ending.... ¡¡!!WOWMOMWOW!!¡¡

  • loved it from 3:55-4:20 the souund just grows on you!!

  • whattay tune whattay tune....

  • this is soo futuristic.. I love it!!!!

  • i thought i didn't like them, until i saw this dvd. now i love them :)

  • Was this song ever used in an adult swim commercial?

  • awesome!!!

  • i love how at the end he just waves good bye

  • 2 dislikes? They must be 2 deaf people angry that they can hear how awesome MuteMath is

  • They are so good here, and this is only through youtube. Imagine how they are live! They are ridiculous!!

  • How is this band even real? I'm dreaming, I swear it.

  • Darren King is a god on those drums.

  • amazing, that I call awesome performance!

  • LOL AT THE 2:45 HE GONNA FALL

    ANW GREAT SONG

  • 5:09 here's your weird instrument and your plug back, sir

we couldnt make it sound so we unplugged it

  • this sounds utterly tight

  • I remember I saw these guys live back at Virgin fest. At the end of the concert they destroyed their instruments! haha didnt suit them to do it, but whatever thats Mute Math!

  • This kinda sounds like radiohead only 10000 times better!

  • Darren and Roy are the backbone of this amazing band.

  • sick drumss!!!

  • Can i marry this song?

  • Can i marry this song?

  • two people don't understand talent.

  • in awe with such tasteful musicianship and brilliant dynamics! Dig the heavy blend of layers. these fellas kinda picked up where Radiohead left off.

  • Why must they break those beautiful instruments?

  • this is life, liberty, and the pur-SHROOOOOMS!!

    but seriously. good stuff.

  • shivers!

  • AMAZING!! I love mutemath, they are one of my favourite bands ever

  • They are amazing live...

  • I got to play the Atari guitar at our concert (2009 at Cains in tulsa) Paul threw the guitar to the crowd and we got to play with it.....then after 2 mins the security guy got it back.....It was EpiC!

  • puta som de batera live! puta som de banda! e aih q eu me refiro!

  • Wait I thought these guys were called Interpol or My Morning Jacket

  • The drummer seems really good and it's cool for ambient music, but the other players seem pretty mediocre at their instruments.

That strange guitar-looking thing around ~4:00 was pretty sweet, though.

  • @BenkaiDebussy The Atari! :)

  • @BenkaiDebussy No...their all really good, listen to more of their work, they're all extremely talented

  • @BenkaiDebussy Not true! All 4 of them are extraordinary. Plus there's terrific chemistry. Their timing is what seals the deal.

  • if only theyd stop singing all together, all their music could be like this

  • Drummer is killin !!!!

  • 2 people need to have ther brains reset

  • 2:41 :DD

  • And I thought such sounds where only created in a studio, to be created live shows how WIN these are.

  • The drummer is sick !!

  • Such an amazing instrumental.

  • precisos y estructurados. Deluxe!

  • this is just so b.a.

  • 1:58. Best Part.

  • 2 people fuckin' missed the 'like' button o.O

  • 2:18

  • VAI TUDO ABAIXO; CARA**O: :{P

  • That was great. Really get a radiohead vibe from this one performance.

  • saw them at lollapalooza today... UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

During this song paul did multiple frontflips over the keyboard

  • Probably one of the more interesting bands to surface recently. The drummers ability to lay in the groove reminds me of Jon Bonham, excellence.

  • @555kl789 Too bad they haven't surfaced recently.....

    They've been around for daysssss.

  • @lookoutitscaleb They're starting to get big is what I meant. I know they've been around for years, but only recently started to get a big following, here in europe anyways.

  • @555kl789 For sure. Freakin Twilight and Transformers has caused their boomish ing.

  • @lookoutitscaleb Didn't see any of those :p But yeah, they probs had a hand in it if there's Mutemath music in them.

  • @lookoutitscaleb they still really havent BOOMED, ya know? they are a great band.. one of the best around if you ask me, and they deserve to go big

  • Starting at 2:50 ...... wow, just wow!

  • Love the drums

  • 4:36 - 4:50 gave me the chills like you wouldn't believe

  • They remind me of Pink Floyd from their most creative period. Absolutely amazing music. I hope they have the success that Pink Floyd enjoyed for many years.

  • what kind of cymbal use darren?

  • @pandaev in this vid, I think he's using a 20" Zildjian A Custom Ride, and Zildjian 13" or 14" K hi-hats
