(Cont.) All in all, Shaw Communications is a very incompetent and disrespectful provider of all of their services. I haven't been able to access my POP3 mail account they provide for over 2 years and when creating a Webmail account on their website, that too fails and the account is inaccessible. That spells complete incompetence and lack of good business standards. If you need Shaw to be there for your business, beware and consider other options - IF you have other options. Shame on you Shaw!
(cont.) As a result of this poor service we have lost business in the past years. Will Shaw compensate our losses? Do they ever offer to? No and no. We have had 4 modems swapped out in the past year because they are cheap defective brands and models, speed flux that is absolutely unsatisfactory, their DHCP Servers constantly hit our connection with Gateway IPs that aren't even associated to our account and this is apparently 'normal' as they have exclaimed to me over the past 3+ years. (Cont.)
(cont.) the nature of our business is hosting and we rely on Shaw to provide those services to host content. We get calls from customers at 1, 2 or whatever early hours of the morning requesting support we cannot give them because the Shaw ISP can't deliver what they say, expanding beyond their abilities to maintain network infrastructure telling businesses they need to relocate for better service though they are in the service district area. Does that really make much logical sense? (cont.)
Are Shaw business internet services effective? We have been having trouble with in the British Columbia, Cariboo Regional District for the past 3+ years. We experience constant drops of service, their customer support technical staff are ignorant some of them (Dan, in the Cariboo Regional District of Quesnel for example). They also blame customer incompetence on their (Shaw's) hardware and software failures. They also blame the customer's
