iPhone 3G Activation Part 1/2

hi. i ordered a used sim card on ebay. if i put it in the iphone do u think it will work? and also do u have to keep the sim card in at all times?

Also i dont have a sim card tool, what else can i use. sorry for asking soo many questions. lol.

& did you need to have a sim card in while you were activating it?

@BeauteByTeeBaby You have to have a simcard in to activate the service (phone, text, web etc.) but you don't have to have one in to use the phone :)

did you already get it activated at the store or you just did it yourself? and do you need a sim card to activate your phone or no?

@BeauteByTeeBaby I did it myself. It came fully shrink wrapped in the post as I ordered it online. Don't know how the do it in America :)

i get my iphone in about a month but i have a question. when you got yours did they do anything with it at the att or apple store? like did they take it out of the box or anything

I'm not sure how the do it in America, but I ordered it from the online O2 store (O2's the UK iPhone carrier) and It was shrink wrapped, but I dont think they do in-store activations in america anymore.
