sabbirsa, once I was her admirer and fan...but after hearing her so arrogant statements in many places including in some TV shows and magazines..I really felt bad...she must have got awards .but if the awards mean the being best so do you think the other former choreographers like gopikrishna,kamal,tarun bhatt and her own guru and ex husband B. sohanlal (jewel thief song) were not good ones becoz they didnt get any awards??
also in a TV show which was on madhuri...subhash ghai who gave the re-break to madhuri (ram lakhan)and saroj (hero) told these lines which I have mentioned about katthak...I have seen this show............

She did not loose any respect from nobody. Big directors still prefer her as the chreographer of choice. She still remains the #1 choreographer of Bollywood. No one has been able to take her spot. True that she talks and acts like a truck driver, but her talent as an accomplished choreographer overshadows everything. And I do not have to prove that fact. Also I am not saying that you are lying. No need to get worked up.
Just wanted to add to the rest of the comments, a few of my dancer friends have been choreographed by choreographers who were wheelchair bound. It helps if the dancer is aware of the basics, then all the choreographer needs to use is an assistant and the standard terminology. Saroj Khan uses a few assistants and it was more than evident in the making of Devdas during the choreography for Dola Re Dola and Maar Dala.
Yes your right, Saroj Khan knows the moves and if you see her doing them doesnt look good as she doesnt have the body for it, however she can explain to the dancers and make them do it right, Sri Devi, Madhuri and Aishwayra Rai are the best examples of where Sarojji has showed them the dance with the help of her assistants and the actresses have shown their magic
i think bollywood dance looks nice when the woman has a curvey body.... and yes I have seen some larger women that would put ANY skinny girls to shame. It's about the talent...

It is "the representation of dancing by symbols as music is represented by notes", so choreographer can be as fat as he/she wants as does not need to be good dancer.

yeh i get that too. all im saying is.... you practice dance, choreographers probably do so many hours a day. so when you are dancing all the time, shouldnt you be losing the weight? i didnt say anything about fat people not being able to dance or their flexibility, i am just sayin that for people whose profession consists of constant movement, how can they be fat?
Just working out doesnt allow you to loose all that weight... eating right is very essential. Also, she does dance, and she does have to practice, but at the same time, have you seen her move? She is not jumping around, and putting AS MUCH enthusiasm as the dancer ( her students ) that are performing do , because she is not infront of the camera.
