@thecucumberman This one does sound like Everybody Hurts, and if that's the only one she has heard, then yes, of course you should be drawing up the papers.
@thecucumberman Divorve is a bit extreme isnt it, you should give her some hard anal instead. you could sing everybody hurts and the sidewinder pumps tonight. im sure that would help.haha :)
@thecucumberman no don't divorce her, educate her. My guess is that cos this song has a similar riff to rem's most well known song "everybody hurts" shes jumped to the conclusion that they all sound the same. If she was to take some time to listen to rem's albums she'll see how innovative and creative they were over their career.
Holy crap, some songs get lost in time unless you're a serious fan of the artist... I don't think I've heard this since 1994, and at the time I was 13 and it was one of my favorites.
Sending this song to a messenger angel might have been a little too aggressive, but such a powerfuland intense feeling. Simple, committed, unwavering, so certain of the outcome and destiny....................Too much for an introverted-feeler to accept.
REM consegue nos levar ao topo do Himalaia com "Strange Currencies". É como beijar a pessoa amada em uma noite de lua cheia... por Luiz Orleans (Salvador-BA, Brazil)
When ever I see Michael Stipe, I am always reminded of Dennis Leary's hilarious MTV rant on him which ends " I ve got two words for you Michael Stipe - Steve Tyler, ok ?"
Good times. Great Fun. Stipe is the last of the great frontmen for rock bands - there is hardly any one worth following right now.
@nagee76 If you like this you might like Elbow; One Day Like This (with a young guy holding a CONDOS sign), and then to blast you out of your sighs, play Grounds For Divorce.
@princesslehaha, I just listened to One Day like this again with the guy holding the Condos sign - how could i not thank you for sending me a gift like that :=)
there's a lot of cr*** out there today masquerading as music and Elbow reminds us that genuinely good music can still be made - thanks for spreading the joy :=)
omg, the first part when he says "I don't know why you're mean to me, when I call on the telephooooone", this makes me melt! Such a sweet voice, and song!
I rememberer that back in high school I was so in love with a girl and this song just came perfectly to me in time cause I bought "Monster" on a friday. On the following saturday I went to this girl's birthday party and I found out that she already had a boyfriend. Imagine how I felt. Back home that night I just went to my bedroom, played this song on my cd player and I just started crying. Since then, this is one of my favs. from them.
To 306gti666, this is from Road Movie filmed at the Omni Theater in Atlanta, Georgia and Road Movie is from three nights so this could be any of the 18th, 19th or 21st of November, 1995.
