  • algm sabe o nome dessa música do começo ?

  • I think it's ok to teach little girls belly dancing but I don't agree with a lot of the outfits these parents allow their daughters to wear, they are just little girls :(

  • @prettycool997 You're a moron.

  • @jazzedbutterfly and your STUPID! I'm a Belly Dancer myself and I don't agree with it, they are dressing them like this at such a young age, I have seen cuter outfits more appropriate and second I am also a preschool teacher so you don't know jack about what is appropriate for a child! So F""K OFF!

  • @prettycool997 A belly dancer and a preschool teacher and you're telling people to fuck off? Actually I don't think you're either of those things, but I DO think you're a pretty poor liar.

  • @jazzedbutterfly I'm telling you to F off no one else, and yes I am both belly dancer and preschool teacher. That doesn't mean I let someone call me names just because I gave my opinion. As for what I can say to you is your full of it.

  • @prettycool997 You aren't a belly dancer or a preschool teacher. You sure as fuck would know how to spell "you're" if you had a degree. You're just some dumb, sheltered cunt on the internet.

  • Comment removed

  • @jazzedbutterfly Well you are some fucked up bitch who can't take heat when you started the whole damn thing. I know what I am yes I am belly dancer and teacher. I do have a degree and it's an advanced one at that. I can see you have nothing better to do than attack a comment that was not directed at anyone in particular so who is the cunt? That would be you :D here is a even better term for "Your're" how about using "You are Full of Shit" does that help? hahaha

  • @prettycool997 "take the heat?" You are commenting on a little girl's outfit because you don't understand belly dancing nor the culture and costuming behind it. If you were a belly dancer (which you're not) you would understand, but you don't. You're just some angry fat bitch on the internet.

  • @jazzedbutterfly I said some outfits, I don't particularly care for her to take off more than what she has on in this particular video and she isn't doing total belly dance here she is also doing salsa which is not part of belly dance and yes I am a belly dancer and its this kinda of crap you thrown into belly dancing which takes away from the originality of the dance. I totally know the history and culture of this dance very well.

  • @jazzedbutterfly you probably don't know jack about the dance itself. In the east it's called raks sharki which means dance from the east. Little girls learn very early on in places like Egypt or Lebanon and they become wonderful dancers. But you probably do not not know what Raks Asaya is or what Beledi is either. This dance has been around for thousands of years in Egypt which is the mother land of belly dance. The other most popular dance style is Turkish.

  • @prettycool997 The Turkish dancers have a different step and style and their costuming is different. The most famous belly dancer in Turkey is a girl named Didem Kinali. The most watched belly dancer on Youtube is Sadie Marquardt. The difference between Turkish and Egyptian Style is the arm movements and there is more skirt twirling in Turkish and more arm movement in Egyptian. Egyptian is considered the more elegant of the two styles, Turkish is fast and flowing.

  • @jazzedbutterfly The drum beats for Turkish and Egyptian are different so you have to follow the heavy drum beat underneath which is very important. As for me being fat hahaha I don't think so hun and no I am definitely not angry. So here is just a little lesson on the history of belly dance hahahaha

  • @prettycool997 What you said was incoherent and not a lesson on the history of belly dance proving once again 1) You are a fucking moron 2) You're not a belly dancer 3) You're sure as fuck not a preschool teach and 4) You're an ugly, fat troll.

  • @jazzedbutterfly You are full of shit and what I said was correct your just too stupid to understand what I said and yes I do know what I am talking about oh for your FYI in EGYPT it is illegal to show your stomach while belly dancing and yes I don't approve of the outfits so get the fuck over it and just to let you know this little girl is performing a fertility dance and that is what belly dance was created for :)

  • @prettycool997 Belly dance is the oldest dance and the exact origin can't be pinpointed. You can't even google information right. You're not a belly dancer, you don't know shit about belly dance, obviously.

  • @jazzedbutterfly hahaha it's origin is in the middle east that much is known there are records of it being performed in ancient sumeria if you didn't know but as to what culture particularly it comes from is still debated and yes I am perfectly aware that it's the oldest dance however it is know that the danced was used in fertility rights and that is what it's known for in history because you don't know shit either obviously and yes I am a belly dancer :D

  • @prettycool997 Which historian claims it was a "fertility dance"

  • Comment removed

  • @jazzedbutterfly seriously you mean to to tell me that you didn't know that this is what the dance is truly for? I found several articles on it. Look it up. I can't post any here because it won't let me. However it is a known fact that the Ancient Egyptians performed the dance in their temples in praise of the goddesses. Look up belly dance as a fertility dance and I guarantee you that it will show up :). I do this dance for my own enjoyment so I know it's history :D

  • @prettycool997 I'm still waiting for you to tell me which historian claimed this is a "fertility dance." Just post the name of the historian that claimed it was a fertility dance, no need for links.

  • @jazzedbutterfly seriously there isn't a particular historian there are so many I am tired of arguing this stupid point with you. If you knew what belly dance was about then I wouldn't be having this conversation with you about belly dance period. I know what the dance is because I've done it for 15 years and will continue to know it and love. Look it up I don't have to hide that fact about what the origins are you can see for yourself look it up.

  • @jazzedbutterfly look up a a book called Serpent of the Nile by Wendy Buonaventura this explains what I am talking about its a history book about Belly Dance and what the dance has been used for. She has wrote a few books about oriental dance

  • @prettycool997 She isn't a historian and the book isn't a scholarly publication. Tell me a historian or a scholarly piece of work.

  • @jazzedbutterfly she is a dance major she would have learned about in school also she researched the book the book should give you academic resources if you were to read it. Even historians have theories but that doesn't mean it's shared by all so just remember that there will always be conflicting views about it. You are not going to fine peer reviewed articles on belly dance seriously :p

  • @jazzedbutterfly Dr. Barbara Sellers-Young she wrote an article called Raks El Sharki: Transculturation of a Folk Form in it she talks about it being used as a fertility dance

  • @prettycool997 I read the article and nowhere did it say belly dance originated as a fertility dance or remains so.

  • @jazzedbutterfly jeez you seriously want me to believe that, because it's always been a fertility dance whether you believe me or not. That article does mention it but the question was were you able to read the whole entire article?

  • @prettycool997 Yes, I read the entire article, it said nothing about fertility being the origin of the dance. You're correct the dance is traced back thousands of years to ancient Egypt, but the origins were religious rites. EX: funeral rights. You'll need to find another source if you are going to claim this is a "fertility dance."

  • @jazzedbutterfly well I found an article stating what it was used for called "They danced in the bible: intergration among christian women who belly dance. I found this article in one of the research databases surprisingly I didn't think I would find it mentioned here but I did and it's a good article to read :D and the book Serpent of the Nile has been used as references for some of the peer reviewed articles and that I find interesting :D but not surprised

  • @prettycool997 Link me the research or statements from the articles that claimed it originated as a fertility dance.

  • @jazzedbutterfly here is the doi:10.1093/socrel/srq077 it won't let me link stuff on here I can try but you should be able to find the article by the doi number

  • @prettycool997 I can find the article, tell me where in the article or give me a quote/research that claim it originated as a fertility dance.

  • @jazzedbutterfly I sent in it a message for you it's too large of a quote to fit here but I found that article on ebsco research database so you can find it there.

  • СУПЕР ПУПЕР!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • shoul be forbidden! such a jung girl! shame on her parents!!

  • @Pocahontas22HR We don't know about her parents so we can't judge. I would say she surely has talent and enjoys it otherwise she wouldn't do it.

  • @suraah GIve me a break it's a danced that was connected to fertility in ancient times so you tell me if you think it's appropriate for a child? It's a powerful and sensual dance that isn't meant for a children

  • @prettycool997 I have a daughter and so I know that most girls that age have a 'princess phase'. They like pink and wearing crowns and they even like to paint their finger nails etc. I used to dress her like a boy actually so she could play without problems (just trousers and t-shirt) and one day (she was 6 years old) she said that she wanted a dress with ruching and why I never painted my nails etc. Really, it was astonishing. So it doesn't surprise me to see this girl dance like that :)

  • @suraah I am a preschool teacher and have studied belly dance too. I just find this all too much for this young of an age. Children are incredibly self aware of around age 3 and up they will pick things up and will notice situations that do not mimic other children's lives so they will question the parents about what they have observed. Parents are responsible for what activities and clothes they wear, this just isn't a good activity to put your child into & the outfit is way too old.
