Listen.I wish the "The whole World is watching chant " which is on the LP would be here too,but apparently not..Then 1968 about Chicago the city and the nomination for a candidate for presidency. It was all about the Democrats fighting......and Nixon won ,mostly because of you.Yes.You.
Liberation is one of the greatest moments in Rock history for the electric guitar. Terry Kath was an outstanding, superb, deep and wicked virtuoso of a guitar player.
@jackgingeranderic I could not agree more with you Jack. A proper background & also education do not hinder anyone in any case. And of course one has to know an awful lot of stuff in order to express a valid opinion.
Here's mine (flawed I am certain): Chicago is second only to the Bach! (I mean naturally C.P.E.)
@jackgingeranderic NOPE..NEVER HEARD OF Cream..I'M IN AN Eric Clapton/Yes? Jack Bruce tribute band.Never heard of 'em. Have to tell you. I'M SO GLAD I never heard of them. I'll be down at the crossroads if ya need me.
@vichniakov That was the set up for the time. It opened the eyes to people to HEAR/SEE how a jamn can go deeper. Make them aware that music goes "off" in to deeper areas and not so commercial. Classical is NOT commercial. I'm sure a few students heard a deeper calling and went Classical. Please don't be so cold. CTA and Chicago did do a little wake up call to aspiring horn players. They NOW didn't look so geeky at school or walking down the street with their horn case. Classical says it all.
@101AOK There is absolutely nothing cold about my comment. "A classical musician" was the highest praise I could think of. And why should anyone feel ashaimed of playing classical music I cannot comprehend. If a person carrying a trombone case feels stupid, that person, I am afraid, IS.
wow - almost forgot about my urinary infection listening to this - such a shame he had a gun ...

Too bad they went down the road of love songs and radio hits rather continuing playing jazz-rock and jam rock like this song.

Boohoo to whatever happened to the full-length Liberation being pulled off YouTube; now we're back to listening to it in two parts. :-|

What's most amazing about this album is that it's their first! How many bands hit it so hard right off the bat. One word describe it. Talent.

It was a jamn that was good enough to keep. That's all. It's when they were A BAND. Not a $ thing quite yet...yet...but then...

I don't think so, sounds to me like the sound you hear from a stool when shifting a bit on it.
