@ssorc2000 so you're telling me that during your 14 years, you and your boys never fucked around and were so tight that if I stuck a piece of coal up your arse, I'd have a diamond in a week?
I'd like to see more professionalism in the way you handle yourself while in uniform. Whether you like it or not, you are not giving the public a very good image of a professional soldier.
@mikeknight4u when your a soldier deployed, garrison enviroment goes out the window and plus you have to find things to keep you entertained so you dont go insane
Nice one, cos that's what this weapon was designed for..........shooting down slope at trees on a mountain and not to mention the unprofessional-ism that is the USA.
Looked fun. I only got to test out the non-explosive rocket version in the Finnish Army. It looked a bit dangerous when you grabbed the LAW and the back pointed at the camera. Yea I know the safety was locked but the weapon was cocked already. We were told these things can go off when you pull the two halves of the tube while cocking it, so not so realiable always. But what fun is there without any risks, though? :)
@AccessDenied55 was used in Iraq to bust gates/doors/walls etc... why waste an expensive AT4 made against modern tanks when a smaller(and lighter) LAW can bust a door as well? Also, disposing of it costs money, firing it doesn't ;-)
I almost got a LAW tube at the last collectors show I went to, the guy offered me a deal of $150, only problem was I didnt have $150. It was in perfect condition too
@talkitiveBob If I rem rightly (and its been a LONG time since I fired one), the sights are optimistically ranged out to 300 but youre probably looking at 150-200 for a tank. Thank fk buildings dont move, theyre easier!
@CharlieDoan Anti Tank rounds are basically to disable the tracks on the tank, which makes the tank not move any more. RPG-7 does the same thing but isn't as accurate. The LAW has been replaced by the more common known as the AT-4.
@talkitiveBob wait i though if you sent it right up the behind of a t-54 and 55 dont forget the t-62 i thought if you hit it from the rear it kills the tank
@gorgonzo1a Well with the LAW originally had a lot of ignition issues in the wet jungles of Vietnam, hence the improved gaskets with the M72A2 and such. A design specific flaw was that the water seal goes away after you open and close it once, as in you prepare it and don't fire.
But the bigger problem was that the original LAW had a penetration level of about 200mms against RHA (Rolled Homogenous Armor / Steel) , which was enough to toast some Soviet vehicles...
@gorgonzo1a But against some of the more upgraded designs and improvised armor they put out, it was really anemic. I hear it was a reason the super-bazookas was occasionally used.
@talkitiveBob At $2,500 a pop, or whatever it costs, you didn't get much entertainment value for money. Would have been better off taking $2,500 to a titty bar ... but I'm guessing there weren't many of those around,
@Traffordsgoogle Another reason we shot it was b/c it was an older LAW and couldn't be collapsed like the newer versions, so it was also a safety hazard to those around us on the OP and also it wasn't on the books either so it was ok to fire.
@cavscoutout19 It was just some extra shit we had laying around, thats the first time I'd ever shot a LAW, usually we have the AT-4 but the LAW is easier to carry around the mountains on patrols.

cammander263 7 months ago
@talkitiveBob The RPG has a longer range from the propulsion - I'd imagine it's more accurate when not thrown around by wind.
John234pwns 6 months ago
@CharlieDoan They use LAW:s also to blow up fox holes. Not very good AT weapon, good against trucks, cars, small assault vehicles.
Sessioni 7 months ago

@astrialkil well, what I've heard you need more than two of these little babies to cause serious damage to an APC. Depends where you hit.
