I'm on the same page as you when it comes to doctors. Dupont is not too far away from here and there is no reason not to specialize when it comes to your children. Excellent advice, my friend!
One of my friends was mostly deaf during his formative speech years as well. He does amazingly well, and he's surprised most of his doctors with how well he recovered and how well he speaks. He has a huge appreciation for music as well.
Very true. I know a gal that kept getting the "she's ok" thing about blindness in her infant girl, and finally wouldn't leave the pediatricians office until he got an eye specialist there, and sure enough, the baby was blind in one eye, but it might have been helped if they would have listened to her the the first couple times she was in. She was quite young and didn't know what else to do.
Thanks Jak... We will actually start tomorrow in looking for a specialist. We r not anti- meds I just have seen the effects etc and that is not my first choice. What are some of the alternatives you guys have chose special diets strict scheduling?? Oh and Did the dr say that if you didn't catch this as early could there be more damage speech or hearing wise? And u know I forgot to mention the sweetest thing he said after the ear dr cleaned his ear he said wow I can hear! : )
i think anti depressants in kids should be out lawed in my opinion it blocks kids imagination and creative side and kids need this to handle situations as a safety devices in the brains they like to put there own spin on things and i believe the anti depressants block this ability , we are lucky we have a centre that has every doctor under one roof that is designed to help kids develop and how to deal with there problems with out medication if possible changing diets ,certain habits etc
You are so right about treating children like mini adults. It is very upsetting.
This was an excellent video sweetness. This is an area you are a specialist in and have a lot of passion about. You are an amazing parent and I think you have found something you can focus on to help people, especially with your extensive experience.
I havent had a lot of time to watch vids lately but wanted to leave a quick 5** and comment for support! :) Your the best.

also, for example, my ex got on celexa. Soon after she became a sex-crazed maniac and thus cheated on me.
