  • Andrew you are great, you look good and I have learnt lots. well done

  • Lol i might have to get braces soon LOL!

  • This may be a silly question, but when you say to stick to one set of fingerings, do you refer specifically to a piece? Or, do you mean any time similar notes are going to be played?

  • rich guy

    and talented

  • nice smile btw^^ <3

  • Thank you!!

  • hey sir guess what i can play fur elise! with your help! that easy version of fur elise btw. =D and nice piano rich guy

  • thanks for this lesson darling *____* you're a very veru great teacher <3

  • make a tutourial sayin how to play outrun

last wave I've always wanted to play that

    please

  • 'so-yea' i like you :פ

  • Guapo!!! :)

Thanks for theese lessons. You are a great teacher.

  • u really awesome, handsome and kind and everything. I love u. GO ahead !

  • I prefer the casual look, lol I have a preference. The lessons feel more homey & lighter when your dressed normal- it's like a friend is teaching you this stuff, not a professional stranger, which I think some ppl. like. But your pretty awesome both ways. Great lesson.

& the website is cool :)

  • u look like the dude on cyberspace on pbs kids

  • lmao i thought he was the dude from cyberspace at first lol

  • Thank you. I now have a better idea of using my fingers on the keyboard.

  • u look wierd

  • ur weird spikeman2001

  • disrespectful he is doing something nice to u so be happy so shut up

  • NICE HAIR

  • thancks

  • It does feel great, i couldn't believe when i got my braces off, besides i now have pretty teeth!

  • holy .. you're _really_ good teacher. I believe that you've trained a LOT of people here, even when they are not posting the comments. Keep up! Awsome job!

  • what if I have a book (william palmer) that has different fingering through the pieces? SHould I use my own fingering and adapt the book?

  • if you have your own fingering you prefer you can use that, but if a professional added the fingering it's always worth taking a close look to see if you like that fingering better.

  • my thumbs and pinkies are quite short and some notes i just can't hit them at one go. is it okay to give up a note? if so, bottom note?

  • yes, if your hands are to small then you can give up a note, if your playing LH in the bass i'd leave out the higher note, and if you're playing RH treble I'd leave out the lower note.

  • u got great teeth!:)luvely smile:)

  • thanks!

  • Thanks for the tips. I have been better about writing it in and being consistent- I liked the analogy. Tutvid rules!

  • im 17 is it too late to get braces? i dont want to be nerdy in college -_-

  • i got my braces on when i was 18 so i was older than you!

  • Hey guess what? i practiced for like forever... and i learned how to play

"Piano Sonata op.13 "pathetique" 2nd Mov."

Well actually i memorized the keys but still i can play the whole song by memory and im almost done learning how to read sheet music well. xD

  • nice job:)

  • Casual look :)

  • You look very attractive ;) Not to mention your piano talent is awesome!

  • Love your black and white clothes ensemble and love your hair too. Thanks again for these fantastic lessons

  • lol i get more compliments on teh suit than my teacher these days! I guess i'm stylish AND helpful.

  • Awesome intro song, Chopin Polonaise Op.53 right? Can you play the whole song??

  • that's right, ^_^ that's the song, and actually that intro is actually me playing on the grand there ^_^ i used to be able to play the entire thing, i have a really crappy recorded version of it, but that was before i got it up to speed, polished and memorized.

  • Looking good man,looking good.

The lesson was great as well.

Your right the more you practice the brain neurons(nerve cells)gets stronger and stronger making a larger pathway, making it easier and easier to play.

    The brain is amazing.

    Take care Andrew.

    kel

  • funny haircut!!! :D

  • yes :P funny hair cut

  • are you suggesting to build yourself your own fingering pattern for use on every song? or just a different one for each song seperate?

  • i'm suggesting find a figure pattern that works for each different song sometimes there are similarities and you'll end up using the same fingering, but first you need to go through each new song you play and decide what fingering you are going to use. then you stick to it ^_^ hope that helps

  • I liked the idea to high light the higher note when you are playing two notes together. Stuff like this is very helpful. Just a little thought here, when you talk about any piece of music, it might be helpful if you could play the piece first, or maybe notthe first few bars, that you will be explaining will give us a much better idea of how the piece sounds like. So it makes more sense when you talk about it later. At least i feel so. Thanks! And look forward to see your website.:))

  • alright ^_^ i'l consider it, although i'm not to big of a fan of randomly playing that much, i don't like to do it very often.

  • I laughed so hard when you did some of your examples of fingering like when you even turned your hand upside down... LMAO I'd die if someone actually tried playing like that. :|

    Nice teeth! :p

  • haha yea, some of them were ridiculous, but you'd be surprise what some people come up with when they're left to themselves.

  • That sounds like a forest I don't want to visit. :). Great video!

  • lol yes the forest of DOOM! that's why a nice super highway helps! ^_^ thanks!

  • This is all great news!

Nice teeth by the way, hah.

  • thank you very much:D yea the website is going to be AWESOME!

  • let me be a moderator on your forums!

  • you want to be a moderator hey? well ^_^ if you use them alot I probably will. The people who log in on a regular basis, who show they're responsible will get to be moderators ^_^

  • Awesome, I will try my best!

  • Suit looks good. I think that an Albert Einstein hairstyle might go well with it too.

  • glad you like the suit as well, it seems like the suit will return in the next lesson by popular demand! haha

  • You made my day by telling me about your new website. I suggest that you sign up for "adsense" with google too, to make a few easy bucks from your website. Basically google just needs a place to put small contextual text ads [in this case piano], but you get paid by the click.

  • haha i made your day? that's wonderful! ^_^ well i'm REALLY excited for it as well yea the good adsense is a good idea ^_^ i already have it actually because i had to sign up with it when i became a partner with youtube. Yea those ad's should help...i've had to sink in a few hundred dollars into the site so far :( but it should be worth it in the end! ^_^

  • Good job!

    Best,

    Duke

  • Thanks Duke ^_^ always nice to hear from you

  • very cool look for you man. Id does make you look more grown up. Oh and the website is a kickass idea! I'm looking forward to it and to new lessons!

    take care

  • Darn pointless forks!

    Love the jacket!

  • hahahaha! yes forks are pointless avoid the forks, i suggest use a spoon:)

  • The website is a great idea! I'm looking forward to it. I've been playing for a little over a year now and you have been so helpful to me in my efforts to learn.

  • Great! yea the website should be awesome, I'm hoping it can become a friendly music community where everyone shares knowledge and helps eachother out!

  • defintely keep the new threads! lookin' like a pro now! good lesson. the website sounds great, i'll be checking it out.

    take i easy.

  • haha nice! thank's alot So expect to see the suit return in lesson #29 then;)

  • Congrats on losing the braces. And oooh, ooooh, ooooh, what fingering!

Also, if you're going to be wearing a jacket, you really SHOULD have a cocktail sitting on a nearby coaster--preferably MOSTLY drained.

  • hahahahah! are you implying that i act drunk while i teach?

"oh oh oh what fingering"??? i didnt understand that part

  • the unbuttoned shirt looks good :)

  • thanks! maybe ill keep wearing it that way then ^_^

  • nice
