@TheRogueMonk This is RE Director's Cut. It's basically the original game, being re-released a year afterwards, but with a new "arranged mode", where the items are scattered differently. There are also some minor changes like the possibility to make headshots with the handgun. I think he's playing the PS version, but I'm pretty sure it was released for PC too.

@TheRogueMonk It's possible that they upgraded the graphics on Director's Cut a bit, but nothing major. Also, the graphics looks a bit different when playing on a PS1 emulator on a computer, as opposed to playing on a regular PS1, and usually it's for the better, since PS1 is rather old, with a dated graphics card. You can't really "improve" the graphics with a better graphics card, but generally it can make it look smoother.
