  • LOL!!!

  • Age actually does. The min. rec. for a booster is 4 yrs and 40 lbs. But strongly suggested to age 5 or due to the way the child's body developes. Size well, not such a good thing. I have a 48 lb 5 yr old and a 35 lb 5 yr old nephew both are at the same point in physical development (bone fusion and such). Yet my nephew doesnt meet the min. weight suggestion.

So all 3, height, weight AND age are all important.

  • @car4yourbabes so im 11... and 145 pounds and 4'10. i dont really see the need of booster seats. Even if i ride in the front we are smart enough to turn the airbag switch off, Yet i put the seatbelt on right.I've been in near collisions stopping from 45 to 0 in secconds and i dont bounce at all, i stay l;ike a concrete block in one place

  • they are not too big for carseats but a 5 point harness system is much safer in an accident and they make them now for big kids up to 50-80lbs some brands

  • Very true, but it did say average!

And you can only put so mcuh in a quick ad... I still think though that stressing the size vs. age would have gotten them the GOLD!

  • Yea I know..I just had to comment on that cuz if parents by chance watch this video they would get the wrong message..thats all.

  • Thats not all that accurate. A better way to put it would be 4'9,age has NOTHING to do with it. Height and weight does!
