@GrubeMasterFlex If you're talking about that exact version of frohmage, it's from the ohm force website... If you're talking about the sound I use in the tutorial, it's not a preset, just the result of my fiddling around... I didn't even keep the patch, on simple effects like this I always set the setting by hand... I only keep presets on instruments.
Thanks for all the comments everyone. Sorry about the crappy voice recording, it was 2 am so I was trying to talk quietly and I was also recording my voice using my macbook pro's built in microphone (meant to be used for crappy quality webchat along with the built in webcam).
I'm thinking of making a more in depth tutorial about some other bits of music tech in the future.
This is so awesome! I can't believe how much it helped me out, I was completely lost. I'm totally going to do everything you said to RIGHT NOW. Thanks!!!
That was incredibly useful! I went and got this plugin right after watching this video! I love it! Thanks a lot, MitchK1989, I'll be buying a bunch of OhmForce stuff in the next week or so. If this is their free stuff can't wait to get the rest!!!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. You really should spend some time with Frohmage, even if you ignore the more esoteric controls you can still just slap the tone slider to the right and use it as a KICKASS overdrivable lowpass filter.
Now this is just great. I know so many people who don't use Frohmage cause they don't know what the parameters mean. And I for myself rather know by trying out and using them intuitively. Sometimes that is nice and inspiring, other times I hated the OhmForce guys for not making a classic skin for my favourite free filter PlugIn. Didn't get me enough annoyed to read about it though;-)
Thanks for putting light on this in an enjoyable, understandable way!
I just figured I'd save others from having the same "WTF DO THESE KNOBS DO" moment that I had when I first opened it up. First time a free plugin has sent me running to a manual.
where did you find a mac version of this patch?
