NO don't ever install or run nava shield!! it's a virus/ fake anti virus program your pc/might bbe a good paper weight after but that's about it install kaspersky pure and malwarebytes and scan your box good luck cheers

Ok! When I used KIS, everything worked just fine... as soon as my licence expired, I decied to try out CIS Pro and guess what? I performed full scan and it detected 90 false positives WTF?! After a while, my system got all fucked up (Blue screen of death)! I had to reinstall everything... All my work, GONE! For fuck sake! KIS FTW!

@Gavsta40 I don't mind since I back everything up but the thing for me is that with comodo my pc is fast with kis theres always something left to scan in the background never stops and it slows me down so I changed to comodo...

@sroRAGE if you knew that they were false positives why did you delete? If you don't know what you are doing you could just download comodo's geekbuddy let a technician remote control your pc and you just relax and let them clean it for you can kaspersky do that ? nope...

Comodo Sandbox does not remove it. It just traps it and keeps it there until Comodo removes it :) on the next update <3

No AV will ever be 100 percent detection there will always be a 0 day exploit that can get past it and get past the sandbox etc.

@commando189 well from what comodo says you are wrong they think their sandbox is the best thing ever thats why their av sucks I guess. And I think if something needs to be blocked there should be only the options to block or allow not sandbox and if you read the dialog comodo suggest if you are not sure they strongly suggest to sandbox umm guess what a normal use would do ? follow the instruction I think...

The Sandbox restricts them only, it will be removed once an update comes. I highly doubt they would slow your PC down greatly and 50% out of 30 links are highly doubtful-

@cocopara I had 15 partialy restricted things in the sandbox idk how many links I tested I just kept downnloading ,and I did not see even once the antvirus window telling me to clean. Everything went to the sandbox and why should I wait for an update and still have those viruses running even isolated on my pc? If I wanted that I would just use sandboxie same thing.. for me thats not what internet security should be . And at the end mbam and hitman found some viruses running on the pc as well..

ODd. I agree that the Comodo AV is rather poor unless the heur is put on high. I also agree that the sandbox is a little faulty though what can be done. Any measures taken to make it better would affect normal users and make it less user friendly. Anyhow it is not a major problem, anything Comodo AV doesnt catch, the Firewall / hips + MBAM and Hitmanpro does catch. (Atleast for me).

Also, try run Comodo in the modes I listed. With Heur on high then retest :).

hi, I would like to tell you that software like COMODO and Kaspersky don't work right in Virtualbox or Microsoft Virtual Pc or anything else. You should go with VMware Workstation

@ballader1 yeah I did the same tests in vm ware 7 and same thing happened I'm just lazy to upload the videos and probably won't cause theres no point comodo just leaves stuff behind even if it says its clean some are temp files but it's still a malware on the pc not that kis is purfect but I prefer it instead of comodo for now untill they improve their av and stop puting everything in their sandbox.

@cocopara the wold is not full with nerds thats why comodo is still not in every pc shop out there because its a complicated security software to use. I would not have cought nava shield because their av part sucks thats exactly why they have the sandbox because they know how rabbish the av is so they rely on people sending staff to be analysed so they sit on their a.. instead of doing updates every hour.

Comodo is not complicated. IT is awesome at standard settings though the firewall can be a hassle the first week until it shuts up and barely asks you for anything. Their AV is really good if you put the HEURISTICS on high and enable Cloud AV. The sandbox is to supplement the AV and so is the Defence+. Comodo is the only Suite which combines these brilliant features. Comodo also removed a really nasty keylogger of which MBAM and Hitmanpro could detect but not remove. Hows that?

the sandbox give it limited rights i cant change any of your system files or harm your computer Comodo is the best yeah it will still be on there and if you sent it to Comodo to check they will delete soon as they examine the file and find out its a virus rouge or what ever it is

@wblake22 yes the sandbox is a great feature but comodo relies on it too much thats why their antivirus is bad and thats why I'll go with antivir free + comodo firewall for now.

Their anti virus is amazing.

Put the heuristics on High, enable Cloud AV scanning and test it on a large virus pack. Il promise ya itl score better then most.

@cocopara I tested comodothe other day and guess what half of the links were sanboxed the rest were not even detected so in the end I had a slow virtual machine in vmware 7 and I had 15 sanboxed applications so I left it runing after 5 hours I came back tried to update - no update and all the staff in the sandbox was sent for analysis. So the next morning I updated and it said 5 apps could not be removed do you want to get live support I clicked yes and got a page saying 19.99 buy live support .

GO into COMODO configurations and set on Proactive Security Mode.

AV - State Full

Firewall - Safe Mode

Defence + - Safemode or Paranoid.

This + some settings is what commodo suggests you to put. I got a little stronger and yet Comodo is taking up minor resources and I do not feel a drag on my machine. Also enable Cloud AV and heuristics on High :). THen come back with the result.

Are you using virtual box?

Did you know that virual box does not work properly with some security software like Comodo, Karspersky, OnlineArmor an other due to the limitations of the software?

WARNING: CIS does not work properly in VirtualBox because of the limitations imposed by this virtual machine(Vectored Exceptions fail). So please test it with another VM software.
