Wow, I thought I was alone with this. I teach IT in Thailand, where every other school sticks to teaching students 'Powerpoint'. It's bullshit. It's WRONG. Fact is -- by the time the students reach the level they're in, they already know how to use PPT. What they DON'T know is how to put together a PRESENTATION, and so this is what I teach instead of 'Powerpoint'. Half a semester of using paper, cards, and deconstructed information rather than jumping onto the computer with copy and paste.

Powerpoint is an excellent presentation tool, but only as good as the presenter. Most presenters suck, and therefore so do their Powerpoint presentations. It's just as simple as that.
