only 3 yrs from this video and i have a 250gb, 2gb memory 10" netbook on Win7 ultimate. maybe 3 yrs ago a netbook was a bad choice, however, today if u need to carry your laptop a netbook is a first choice (1.2kg compared to my toshiba 17" 4kg)

I just upgraded to ultimate (Home takes less memory I know) and added 1gb ram. u r right, xp takes less memory, linux is better than windows. however, a 10" netbook is fine for normal "fun" use (for professional use u need a big screen), therefore it's ok with 2gb and win7 ultimate.

Netbooks are a fucking snail. It can only hold like 6 pictures and 6 videos. And it takes forever to load up a video and music lags, and flash games barely work.

The first netbooks didn't even have Windows or anything Microsoft about them. The reason they will never have DVD drives (built in, usb dvd drives exist) is because of their size. This video is VERY outdated and misleading. My Asus eee pc has an 8 hour battery life, can play games, can run almost any software I want it too, and is dual core.
Buying a netbook for $200 with 250gb hdd and a gig of ram, I can listen to music and download a torrent and be on Facebook just fine. Perfect for me. I also have an external disk drive and a monitor, I'm too short on cash to buy a big laptop, and to be truthful I don't need one. Netbook is great unless you do gaming or zillions at once, it does basic tasks fine.

I know a guy who bought a cheap $75 netbook with Windows CE and a 300mhz processor, and he can STILL do a ton more than just "browse the internet". He can even still play emulators on it.
I don't think id ever buy a netbook. If I only wanted to surf the web, and blay simple games, I can do all that on my Android. I want every single thing a desktop can do in my mobile pc. I'm the kind of person who plays games/videos, while listening to music on a different tab, WHILE downloading huge torrents. All at the same time. And still expect the torrent to be done in a resonable amount of time. I like to play full versions of new games. A netbook just isn't for me.

dvd and cd drives are outdated, almost everything can be transferred digitally. you can buy and external anyways, i got one for 40 bucks. i play lots of games on mine. laptops generally suck for gaming anyways. i will never buy a laptop, netbook is way better. good desktop and netbook=perfect combo.

@backhdida33 Netbooks can do most of that stuff. The only problem you might run into is HD video, but you can probably find models that are good at HD videos.
My Toshiba NB505 has a 1.6ghz processor, 1gb of ram, and 250gb hard drive. I plan on upgrading to a 750gb or 1tb drive. As far as "can't have a lot of games on here", well, that's funny, cause I have every NES, SNES, Genesis, Master System, Game Gear, and GBA game, a lot of older pc games like Red Faction and Max Payne 1 and 2, dos games, and a ton of ps1 games. For old school gaming, dvd rips, and web browsing it;s great. Just what I needed.

This video is outdated. My netbook runs Windows 7 Ultimate, Office 2010 Professional, has 2GB RAM, 1.66 Ghz Atom processor and a 250GB hard drive. While made of more plastic parts, it's is better equipped than the business-class Dell Latitude I had 6 years ago.

My Toshiba NB255 is the best! I use my desktop for games and stuff, but if I want to go on the internet I can lay in bed and pop my netbook out. My charge lasts 7 hours so I hardly have to worry about running out. A laptop or notebook is good if you don't have a desktop computer, and you use it as your main computer. A netbook is good if you already have a desktop computer, and you just want something portable.
totally misleading, I'm using exaclty the same netbook Acer Aspire one, I do all the 3D Design Stuff, I do play FIFA 08 very perfectly, I use all the Adobe products. I've design couple of game projects as well. It's not like netbook only for surffing the net and stuff, If it meets the requirement about anything, you can run it perfeclty.
Now it's almost like one, there's no problem at all.

The first netbooks didn't even have Windows or anything Microsoft about them. The reason they will never have DVD drives (built in, usb dvd drives exist) is because of their size. This video is VERY outdated and misleading. My Asus eee pc has an 8 hour battery life, can play games, can run almost any software I want it too, and is dual core.

Buying a netbook for $200 with 250gb hdd and a gig of ram, I can listen to music and download a torrent and be on Facebook just fine. Perfect for me. I also have an external disk drive and a monitor, I'm too short on cash to buy a big laptop, and to be truthful I don't need one. Netbook is great unless you do gaming or zillions at once, it does basic tasks fine.

I know a guy who bought a cheap $75 netbook with Windows CE and a 300mhz processor, and he can STILL do a ton more than just "browse the internet". He can even still play emulators on it.

I don't think id ever buy a netbook. If I only wanted to surf the web, and blay simple games, I can do all that on my Android. I want every single thing a desktop can do in my mobile pc. I'm the kind of person who plays games/videos, while listening to music on a different tab, WHILE downloading huge torrents. All at the same time. And still expect the torrent to be done in a resonable amount of time. I like to play full versions of new games. A netbook just isn't for me.

dvd and cd drives are outdated, almost everything can be transferred digitally. you can buy and external anyways, i got one for 40 bucks. i play lots of games on mine. laptops generally suck for gaming anyways. i will never buy a laptop, netbook is way better. good desktop and netbook=perfect combo.

@backhdida33 Netbooks can do most of that stuff. The only problem you might run into is HD video, but you can probably find models that are good at HD videos.

My Toshiba NB505 has a 1.6ghz processor, 1gb of ram, and 250gb hard drive. I plan on upgrading to a 750gb or 1tb drive. As far as "can't have a lot of games on here", well, that's funny, cause I have every NES, SNES, Genesis, Master System, Game Gear, and GBA game, a lot of older pc games like Red Faction and Max Payne 1 and 2, dos games, and a ton of ps1 games. For old school gaming, dvd rips, and web browsing it;s great. Just what I needed.

I still have my 2008 Acer Aspire One ZG5 AOA 150-Bw in 2011, and most of the things this "expert" said can't run, work perfectly well. This man doesn't know what he is talking about. He reminds me of the so called expert salesmen in PC World and Currys in the UK. Next time he makes a video let's hope he bothers to test the items he's talking about.

I have A Dell Netbook 10.1 Inch and it works fine and I still have a lot of freeware programs on it like Chemsketch, FLV -player and also heavy chemistry programs I use a student.....I have a lot of MS word-data and photos and articels ...I don´t know why but it works good :-P

This video is outdated. My netbook runs Windows 7 Ultimate, Office 2010 Professional, has 2GB RAM, 1.66 Ghz Atom processor and a 250GB hard drive. While made of more plastic parts, it's is better equipped than the business-class Dell Latitude I had 6 years ago.

My Toshiba NB255 is the best! I use my desktop for games and stuff, but if I want to go on the internet I can lay in bed and pop my netbook out. My charge lasts 7 hours so I hardly have to worry about running out. A laptop or notebook is good if you don't have a desktop computer, and you use it as your main computer. A netbook is good if you already have a desktop computer, and you just want something portable.

totally misleading, I'm using exaclty the same netbook Acer Aspire one, I do all the 3D Design Stuff, I do play FIFA 08 very perfectly, I use all the Adobe products. I've design couple of game projects as well. It's not like netbook only for surffing the net and stuff, If it meets the requirement about anything, you can run it perfeclty.
Now it's almost like one, there's no problem at all.
