@pickledlettuce Thank you for the link, I can't wait to see her perform. I saw the Hamburg when they did La Dame aux Camilias close to where I live. It was amazing and the only "classical" ballet my boyfriend enjoyed, lol.

there are so many versions of this variation especially in this competition but Emily Kadow owns this variation hands down. But Peng does the best out of all of them here

Lots of talent but those who think she was more deserving of the gold than Hannah aren't seeing the same thing as me; Hannah was a much more finished, mature dancer at the time of the competition. Both of them have great potential. Here Peng struggles a bit with her turnout and her feet but you can see she has a bright future ahead of her and was quite young here.

stop arguing. the prix isn't only decided on the contestant's live performances, the judges also watch them in class, and see how quickly the student can learn new variations as well how well they can correct themselves. the judges will also watch how well the competitors get on with the teachers, as well as other students. maybe hannah o'neill just did better overall, in classes, something we wouldn't be able to see. not saying one's better than the other, they're both outstanding.

@Kata397533 Looking back, I think it was Hannah's contemporary performance that got her the win. She presented her contemporary variation in a very mature and stylish way, whereas Zhaoqian--well, not saying it was bad--but I felt her style was kinda generic.
