I wear a pair of my daughter's old crocs for grooming my horse.....when you're standing on concrete for hours nothing but a pair of crocs will do. Fashionable they are not...comfy yes! at first, i thought crocs were gross and awful and i made fun of everyone who wore them. then a friend gave me a pair and i of course felt bad because it was a gift. i tried them on just to solidify my thoughts that they sucked..... SO COMFY ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY. my feet are usually trapped in riding boots (not comfy alllll day at work) so its a nice change when i get home. IM PROUD OF MY CROCS

I'm a nurse, and I wear 'em! I love them! And, by the way, they come in "fashionable" styles, too!  I have some Crocs sandals that have 2 little straps that go across the top of my feet and they're SO comfy! There are tons of different styles, including "dress shoe" type!

Bottom line is, you're right ~ who CARES if they're ugly?

Actually Crocs and flip flops are the worst things to wear for your feet. Neither provide the support you need to maintain a healthy foot. The Crocs are too soft to provide the support and the flip flops have no support at all. You shouldn't wear either ones for an extended day of walking. Walking around the house or pool is the most you ever want to do in them.

Crocs in leather and tan, is fine, but what i can't take is this rubber with holes in some screaming color is just not OKAY in public.
