First, I did watch the debates and I hear rhetoric and not specific actions like I hear from Gravel. Read the news? The biased mainstream news that marginalizes the ones with the most integrity? Yeah, I have read it. I do not agree with what he says. I don't agree with his stance on the issues. Common sense? I think common sense is not allowing the media to choose my candidate for me. I have done a quite a bit of research and I believe I have made the best choice. Gravel has a proven record.

1) likes Nuclear Energy

2) wants to keep armed forces in Iraq (with troop redeployment).

3) health care plan subsidizes insurance co's.

4) thinks it's ok for us to bomb sovereign nations with whom we are not at war to aim for "terrorists". see Pakistan. By this logic, Castro could have bombed Miami for harboring a terrorist - Luis Posada Carriles.

5) He is part of the CFR.

I don't think nuclear energy is environmentally friendly at all. What does France do with their nuclear waste? Why not focus on energy sources that are cleaner and don't produce such waste like solar, wind, geothermal? In Gravel's book he mentions possibilities of space-based solar energy? That sounds pretty interesting. Not to mention that nuclear energy requires subsidization from the govt. It can't make itself profitable. That doesn't equal sustainable to me.
