1 (800) 275-4932 if your having probelms call and complain with your codec play back issues. WD need to Change the Codec pack to differnt one like Klite Codec pack computer version and put it on WD tv live

I'm not kidding, WD TV live can play HD movies (which are the reason for HDTV's), XBMC cannot. However, I like my Xbox anyway.

interlaced material has to be deinterlaced before a lcd or plasma tv can show it, and the way you do it is to bob deinterlace it, you get progressive frames and double framerate...

I do not have win 7 computer to test it with, however it works great with a Mac and a Windows Home Server.

I have the first wdtv and this one is much more response and plays alot more files (higher reframes etc). The hacked firmware available helped the original wdtv, but the wdtv live is wonderful out of the box.

I have had no issue to complain about....personally. Some people are having network issues, but not me.

Yes. It has and ethernet connection on the back that connect to a router. You share your videos using windows sharing.

Since you recorded this on the iphone its hard to see if there was any pixelation while playing those 2 video files. Could you describe the video quality?

Video quality is very good..... similar to the wdtv 1. Much more talk about this thing on avsforum.... go check it out.

The video quality is fine, but it would be much better if you put your iphone on static place, by tripod or just put it on a chair in front of your TV.

I just tested both video samples on the old WDTV 1 and both times the playback was very PIXELATED. The basketball video even played backed laggy.

Quiet.... yes very very quiet (similar to the first one)...

It does get warm to the touch while on, but not scorching hot like the xtreamer...
