Thats an easy 200 at least, newer busas have slighty larger cc's, 1340cc while 07 and older have 1299cc, i had my 07 stock at 184 and thats as fast she would go.

oh and btw, speedo's can be off anywhere from 5-15%, so even though it was still pulling in 6th gear with the speedo pegged, i highly doubt you hit 200.

One other thing...if you want to verify the run and shut all the haters up, use a GPS instead of radar. Most Garmin GPS units have a top-speed indicator that you can reset.

Don't believe the bullshit about the speedo being off. People are haters. The speedo is NOT of 10-15 mph. Give me a break. If you have stock gearing and have not modified the chain, gears, or speedo, it is accurate to a minimum of +-5mph. Good run, I plan to post one of my 2nd gen busa, myself. Do you mean to tell me the busa tops out the speedo and then redlines? The ZX-14 never redlines in 6th gear. You disable the top speed limiter and the bike goes as fast as it will go w/out hitting the rev limiter.

BTW, I own both bikes and love em both the same. Had the the busa to 170 and don't recall seeing the RPM go close to redline.

Just to let you know, the speedos are off by about 10-15 mph when you get towards the end so when its pegged at 190 your only going about 175...

I'm 54 and I have a '09 busa,yosh r77 mufflers,k&n filter,power commander,rev limiter bypassed, otherwise stock. I've been waiting for this bike for 36 years. Took it through the gears on the interstate up to 170 but backed off because I had no leathers.@ 130 the wind buffeting made me tuck behind the windscreen but the busa was rock steady and pulling hard in 6th. What a trip! I love my busa. I also have a stock '82 GS1100ez. Love the vid. Ride fast bro.

@snick4000 if your chain broke something must be wrong--unless it was not maintained or was adjusted incorrectly---it has happened to me in the past on some of my 300 hp drag bikes but never on a stock street bike---check things out very carefully ok-i dont want you getting hurt my friend

@RR4tom yea 2 things that have put me on the ground--once at 166mph on the strip because of 2 stroke seizure--the other a chain came apart --separated link-not the master at 30 mph just testing some new tires again at the strip yea wrong chain--i was trying to save some money being a military man i was broke most of the time and i tried to use some link chain we had in supply high weight rating but it could not handle the frictional forces it was on my bike for 20 runs before it failed

It is possible to brake into the ECU on a Busa and get around all of the stock limiters. I had mine done and my bike now well exceeds power, rpm's and mph! I had my power commander at nearly 100% more fuel to keep up with my turbo, and now that I've had my ECU programmed I don't even need a power commander now. So ya, this bike could be stock and exceed it's 187mph limiter by just avoiding the limiters

@BPaustell yea i mentioned in another response about PC's and i told him flashing my stock unit did more than other ---after market CPU's--- the limiter on the busa's has always stuttered the bike but i found nor felt any of that at red line it was still pulling hard when i let off---i still think the MODE selector game suzuki an out for the agreed apon 188 mph limit set in 2007 by the IMMA
