I really like oaxaca...and it's sad how the people with tradition(indigenous people) beeing treaten with capitalism to determine their rituals and abilitys. this elections were faked cause over 75% would elect the left party. And it happend first that 70% elected the right and capitalistic party and later over 51%. this couldn't be!

I concur with what you wrote. One cannot generalize about México, the place is as diverse in its people as it is in its land. But what a special and magical place it is!! I love Oaxaca, and as somene wo has only been there twice, I long for the day when I will be able to live in México!! Helping Oaxaca is great. But leave religion out of it. I see too many missionaries belittling the people by comparing their standard of life to the U.S. Like the Southern Baptist Ministries and their slant on "how poor" and "4 year old girls have to help mom with chores". Thats what they are suppose to do. These peopleare happy and healthy, please don't corrupt them with Western Idealism.
