This is a brilliant song and Luke Kelly's version is by far the best. He sings with pain and anguish for a child who has been excluded because he is different. The lyrics reflect the pain of a mother who blames herself for something that she has no control over.
How can anyone say this is boring. I would suggest getting some life experience under your belt and then come back in the future and listen to this again. Its wasted on you just now.
how can anyone find this boring! seriously, I am amazed! This is so tragic, which anyone remotely familiar to the history of the song should know. It's about Phil Coulters disabled son
@zarok13 Well if you notice his name is "DublinMetalHead" so he's probablly not into this genre of music. and i would like to add that this version is by far the best version of "Scorn Not His Simplicity".
