i think letting them live is one of the few paragon choices that could affect ME3 in a bad way, if the reapers could control them once they probably can do it again

Wrex is indeed optional, but I saved him. Even if you killed him, you could still recruit the krogan if you convinced Mordin to keep the genophage cure data at the end of his loyalty mission.
After seeing this.....(as I always had the urge to let the Queen go)......I am sure the Rachni Queen will make her appearance again in Mass Effect 3. Personally I am hoping she is willing (and able) to have a fleet join Shepard's fleet (a large number of ships of multiple species) for a massive space battle!!

Maybe ME3's final battle will work like dragon age's assault on Denerim. You can complete the game whether you recruited other races or not, but other races will make the battle easier.

With her becoming the new Shadow Broker in the recent DLC, she'd be able to dig up any/all information available on the Reapers/Collectors/Protheans/etc. This information could be relayed to your allies to help with preparing for invasion.
Plus, the Broker probably has significant military/defense assets. Always good to have lots of big guns when faced with an extragalactic genocidal invasion.
Let's see... I saved the rachni queen, rewrote the geth heretics, encouraged the quarian admirals to push for peace instead of war, have Wrex alive, saved Captain Kirrahe...

I mean vigil said that the reapers were known to use many agents hidden within universe for there greater purpose. And this video shows the Queen believes the Reapers behind the Rachni going to war with the galaxy so why wouldn't be repsonsible for all the other events. And what better way to make sure your can defeat your enemy when they distrust each other to unite against you.
Does anybody else believe that the reapers, particularly Sovereign, was behind all the major events in the past 50,000 years? The Rachni Wars, The Krogan Wars, The Genophage, The Morning War ( The Quarians war with the Geth).
My theory is that Soverign set all of these events in motion in order to create an atmosphere of distrust that way when the reaper fleet finally do show up they will not meet as big of a resistance as they possibly would had these events not taken place.

@moarinternets yep, that's cos they don't have a save game for the end of the final mission, so they don't know if you saved the council or not, or chose anderson or annoying ambassador guy as for the council.
I'm betting by the way ME2 ended with Harbinger tossing the Collectors (Protheans) aside with "You have failed. We will find another way." that they may now be free of his influence and may also join to redeem their broken and destroyed race.
Think of it: Alliance vessels, Turians, Asari, Salarians, the Migrant Fleet, the Krogan, the geth, the Rachni, and the remaining Protheans all fighting in one huge battle against the Reapers. Shit would break the epic meter.
@Anoleis Well cerberus DID research them to give you a new suit, if that special armor is cannon, that makes me believe they problably snatched a live sample as well. or just cloned them, shepard has tons of dead specimens that cerberus was researching, if they brought you back to life, half the way is already done for the collectors.

One problem with that, Mordin ruled that out, the Collectors can never be returned back the Protheans, that being said, Destroying the station killed them if you save the station the purge something kills them. The Harbinger said that as he released a (sovereign) lookalike via his console before he died. Check his last scene again;)
@Str8Murder hell for me in ME3 i burned the Rachni Queen, let the Council die, made Ash to kill Wrex, sold Legion to the Illusive Man, encouraged the quarians to prepare war with the Geth for their homeland, all i can do is borrow a cigarette from the Illusive Man, than face the 1000000000 reapers with Garrus and Miranda(others died in suicide mission) and who knows witch guy shoot me in the back sooner...

Well if you kept it, I figure you'd make a decision as to whether or not you want to use it as a weapon against the Reapers, or just for research purposes. Ie, upgrade shields, weapons, mass drives. Maybe a Collector squad member? You could share your data with the Council .
Or, the Illusive Man takes "human dominance" too seriously, and starts using Collector technology to subjugate aliens by force. You have the choice of either stopping him, or going along with his plans.
I dunno but if I think about the reapers being advanced/being smart then I would think 1 small collector base with researchers would be the #1 target. But W/E I made a perfect walkthrough on insanity with all those things you got except I destroyed the base but I can save it because I still have a save file B4 the discision

Well I figure since the Turians are a Council race, you'd already have them on your side if you share Collector/Reaper data with the Council. But yeah, having the word of a Turian General would ensure further loyalty of that race.
Yes, this is exactly what I was thinking aswell. Though I think there will also be things like wars going on between Quarians and Geth, I can see Krogan vs Salarians....And with the choices you made (wrex alive, rewriting heretics etc.) You'll be the one the let them unite in some sort of epic final battle where all races set aside differences to acknowledge the real threat :P

I understand that point but look at theirs; a few people go on raving about ancient machines bringing about the destruction of the galaxy, but at the end of it there's no proof. For all they knew sovereign was just an advanced geth ship , Vigil (the ai on Illos) was gone except for the words of a few. As much as I didn't like them, I could still see their point.
That's true, but it seems like there would be more evidence after all the time you spend investigating. I guess my problem is that they totally owed me a solid, because I sacrificed a whole bunch if lives so they could survive and they totally dismiss me. Like there is not even a reason to save them if you think about it - you don't get any sort of plus (weapons, armor, credits etc.) just some paragon points lol.
What really gets under my skin about the whole series is the council doesn't have evidence of reapers. Why doesn't the crew or the commander wear a vid recorder during missions? Wouldn't that be all the evidence he/she needs to convince people?
I mean the Vigil, recorded. Soverin's information, recorded. Inside the collector base, recorded.
to me it just doesnt make any sense at all why those fancy arm computers cant record audio and video or something. ah but that might break the storyline.

Council races wont be there be cause they dont believe in reapers. So at the end. There will be nothing to do for the reapers in galaxy. Unless shepard somehow manages to get reapers super technology and with it threaten council. :D Look at the big picture its almost imposible that whole races in the galaxy unite. They are way too ignorant.

@moarinternets yep, that's cos they don't have a save game for the end of the final mission, so they don't know if you saved the council or not, or chose anderson or annoying ambassador guy as for the council.

I'm betting by the way ME2 ended with Harbinger tossing the Collectors (Protheans) aside with "You have failed. We will find another way." that they may now be free of his influence and may also join to redeem their broken and destroyed race.
Think of it: Alliance vessels, Turians, Asari, Salarians, the Migrant Fleet, the Krogan, the geth, the Rachni, and the remaining Protheans all fighting in one huge battle against the Reapers. Shit would break the epic meter.

@Anoleis Well cerberus DID research them to give you a new suit, if that special armor is cannon, that makes me believe they problably snatched a live sample as well. or just cloned them, shepard has tons of dead specimens that cerberus was researching, if they brought you back to life, half the way is already done for the collectors.

@bladerj Now that you mention it, I do not doubt that The Ilusive Man could do such a thing to further the goals of Cerberus...However, I have faith that the destruction of the Collector Base will prevent this from happening! (We cannot trust in the Reaper technology!It's too dangerous!)

One problem with that, Mordin ruled that out, the Collectors can never be returned back the Protheans, that being said, Destroying the station killed them if you save the station the purge something kills them. The Harbinger said that as he released a (sovereign) lookalike via his console before he died. Check his last scene again;)

Yes I've a feeling that if you go paragon, the result will be you needing to collect armies. Makes sense seeing how its going. I mean look at it.
Save the Rachni Queen, get Rachini army.
Prevent Tali's exile and promote peace between geth and quarians, get both the Fleet and the Geth behind you.
Save Wrex, get a united Krogan army.
Save the Council, keep Turian, Salarian, and Asari support.

@Str8Murder hell for me in ME3 i burned the Rachni Queen, let the Council die, made Ash to kill Wrex, sold Legion to the Illusive Man, encouraged the quarians to prepare war with the Geth for their homeland, all i can do is borrow a cigarette from the Illusive Man, than face the 1000000000 reapers with Garrus and Miranda(others died in suicide mission) and who knows witch guy shoot me in the back sooner...

I see the "recruitment" part of ME3 not being so much about recruiting individuals, but whole races.
And if you've played all the way from ME1, your chances would vary:
-If the Council's alive, you give them all your data
-If Rachni survived, she brings her fleets
-If Wrex didn't die, he brings the Krogan
--Chances improve if you kept Maelon's genophage research
-If Tali wasn't exiled, the quarians send ships
-If Legion rewrote the "heretics", you have geth on your side
-etc

Well if you kept it, I figure you'd make a decision as to whether or not you want to use it as a weapon against the Reapers, or just for research purposes. Ie, upgrade shields, weapons, mass drives. Maybe a Collector squad member? You could share your data with the Council .
Or, the Illusive Man takes "human dominance" too seriously, and starts using Collector technology to subjugate aliens by force. You have the choice of either stopping him, or going along with his plans.

I dunno but if I think about the reapers being advanced/being smart then I would think 1 small collector base with researchers would be the #1 target. But W/E I made a perfect walkthrough on insanity with all those things you got except I destroyed the base but I can save it because I still have a save file B4 the discision

Well I figure since the Turians are a Council race, you'd already have them on your side if you share Collector/Reaper data with the Council. But yeah, having the word of a Turian General would ensure further loyalty of that race.

Yes, this is exactly what I was thinking aswell. Though I think there will also be things like wars going on between Quarians and Geth, I can see Krogan vs Salarians....And with the choices you made (wrex alive, rewriting heretics etc.) You'll be the one the let them unite in some sort of epic final battle where all races set aside differences to acknowledge the real threat :P

@117Jorn it would be awesome if that happened, i think shepard may actually be able to take down like 16 reapers on his own so just imagine, krogan, the rachni, the terminus system pirates and mercs(thanks to Aria), the geth(legion) and the entire alliance fleet following the normandy as they take on the reapers.

@DragonElf01 The quarian situation is a dud. either show proof and get tali exiled or lie and she is on good terms, but in anyway the outcome is that the admiral doesnt trust you. show proof she will be angry with you that you fractioned the quarens and wont help you, lie and she finds the truth anyway and wont share the experiments with you becouse you betrayed her,
very lame. BTW i exiled tali cos she is a btich and needed to suffer. THEN i let her die.

I chose the following in ME1+2:
Saved Rachni
Kept Genophage data
Reccomended peace for Quarians
Rewrote geth
Destroyed Collector station
Saved original Council.
I'm thinking everyone will come together to fight the reapers in a massive space battle where there will be somethign like the geth saving the migrant fleet and the rachni working wilth cured krogan or something along those lines. SWEET

I understand that point but look at theirs; a few people go on raving about ancient machines bringing about the destruction of the galaxy, but at the end of it there's no proof. For all they knew sovereign was just an advanced geth ship , Vigil (the ai on Illos) was gone except for the words of a few. As much as I didn't like them, I could still see their point.

That's true, but it seems like there would be more evidence after all the time you spend investigating. I guess my problem is that they totally owed me a solid, because I sacrificed a whole bunch if lives so they could survive and they totally dismiss me. Like there is not even a reason to save them if you think about it - you don't get any sort of plus (weapons, armor, credits etc.) just some paragon points lol.

What really gets under my skin about the whole series is the council doesn't have evidence of reapers. Why doesn't the crew or the commander wear a vid recorder during missions? Wouldn't that be all the evidence he/she needs to convince people?
I mean the Vigil, recorded. Soverin's information, recorded. Inside the collector base, recorded.
to me it just doesnt make any sense at all why those fancy arm computers cant record audio and video or something. ah but that might break the storyline.

Council races wont be there be cause they dont believe in reapers. So at the end. There will be nothing to do for the reapers in galaxy. Unless shepard somehow manages to get reapers super technology and with it threaten council. :D Look at the big picture its almost imposible that whole races in the galaxy unite. They are way too ignorant.
