  • He's afraid of the "redline". haha...

  • arent 1.8s the S versions?

the xrs have a 2.3..im just saying im a chevy guy but these corollas are sikk

  • @71BGLancer this was before they changed. the 1.8 in the S now blows compared to this monster (built by Yamaha.)

  • 2005 1.8 liter GTS engine XRS 0-60 in 7.6 seconds, 2009 2.4 Camry engined XRS 0-60 in 7.8 seconds. I counted this 0-60 about 7.9 seconds. If you count 7 mississipi that is 7.9 seconds, not 7. I used a clock to time this 0-60 run 5 times before posting. Grab a stop watch if you don't believe it. I like the car, but it is just to keep up with 4 banger coupes.

  • whoa 93 octane? lol i always thought it was 91.

  • All corolla XRS here are modded ,at the toyota club at the special sunday at the track this morning ,2 corolla xrs one on slicks run 14.8 ,and one stock with stock tires run 15.4 better time of the day ,so there is no way a corolla xrs run under 15 stock form the factory ,stop dreaming

  • It also depends on the weight of the car

  • safety first my man lol

  • IBITCH-TOOMUCH?

    Oh, okay.

    Sounds like fun

    LOL

    I love my 700whp MK4 TT :)

    Fucking dumbass.

Get your gas guzzling shitball outa here.

  • Moron..

This car hits 0-60 in 5.7 with a GOOD launch.

  • how the hell do you get a 5.7 in a 158HP stock corolla???? A mustang with 300 horses can do only 5-5.5 sec. There is no freaking way. My friends turbo Genesis only do 6 something seconds....

  • Stock Corolla XRS?

More like 180+ at the wheels.

    Plus VVT-i; Variable valve timing.

Think of it as vtec in a pos honda.

  • @ManRossDamn mine dynoed at 149 at the wheels... they're rated 170 at the crank... so 180fwhp is not gonna happen... and it's VVTL-i for the record and that would be "variable valve timing and lift with intelligence"

  • @bawags300 Man you got a bad batch.

GO research, saves alot of worthless post.

  • @SoloFantasy than he doesn't know how to shift

  • im a Toyota guy and own all you bitches.

  • Seatbelt?

  • hey, not too bad acceleration for the type of engin it has....great sound.

  • my 91 accord would hang with this car...

  • lol ure funny

  • ummmmm... there is a clip of an xrs here that did beat a 350z.....beside xrs with i/e/h and chip runs like 14 flat (there is also a xrs here on you tube that does 0-60 in like 5 sec)

  • yah i dont see how u will be sticking with a Z or an evo either....i would have to see that to believe it. The numbers this thing puts out vs. the Z or especially the EVO are just waaaay off.

  • BADFLAME88 if you think the 1.8litre xrs are slow then check out all the other videos of them on youtube and the xrs potential is all FROM 2nd gear AND AFTER ( REMEMBER 0-60 DONT REALLY MATTER IN A RACE ITS FROM 0-100 THAT MATTERS, BESIDE NO ONE THAT RACE FROM A DIG GOES FROM 0-60 THENNNNNNN STOP....IF THEY DO THEY STUPID AS HELL)

  • ey badflame88 this corolla xrs is the 1.8 litre, the 2.4 litre in the new xrs is nothing compare to this one(this one is way faster if modded out on a n/a setup, beside i've been in a similar xrs like this one and we have taken out a 350 z from a downshift by like 2 cars, pulled rsx type s from a dead stop and stuck with an evo with intake on 2nd and 3rd gear...but after that he's gone, beside your stratus loses power at high rpm compare to the 1.8ltr xrs that has all its power in high rpm

  • yep yep, this little shit only takes premium 93+(COMPRESSION ON THE MOTOR IS HIGH AS F**K), but its not so bad since its only a 11 gallon tank

  • Works fine just with 87 Oct, read the manual. The RSX is the one that requires 91-93 Oct

  • Comment removed

  • wtf? premium o a dohc rolla?? since when?

  • WOW...some people actually commented on my video...(AWSOME), and yes my car isn't so fast from the get go or should i say roll *yes this car is a torqueless biach*, (BUT I CAN TAKE OUT A STOCK 350Z FROM A DOWNSHIFT and stick with evos) and guessssss what its only 1.8 litre compare to the malibus 3.6 litre and it only cost me about 27 dollars to gas it to full from a empty tank (PREMIUM GAS ONLY), I BETCHA MALIBU GOTTA PAY MORRRRRE

  • I thought the XRS came in a 2.4L...idk...but i work for a nissan dealership and I dont know how you can stick with a Z and an evo....my stratus is faster than your XRS, but I cant keep up with a Z or evo....i can run to 60 in just over 7 seconds all day long...even if I put it into sport gear and roll it out from 30 or so I still cant beat it, even with over 235ft lbs of torque to the wheels

  • badflame...corollas are speed demons. Your stratus is quick, yes. But the XRS is something else. They come in a 1.8L with 170hp stock, but the car weighs about 2600 pounds. Very light for a car with that much horsepower. With just I/H/E alone, the car can do 0-60 in the low 6 second range. Also, it's equipped with a 6 speed manual, and very strong gearing. The XRS is faster than your stratus, although not by much.

  • I wasnt intending to bash the XRS at all...i was just wondering the size of the motor....stock for stock we are neck and neck....but with the mods he has and the mods i have (intake and exhaust work, torque rod, stickier tires) i wouldnt know who would win.....i havent tried a 0-60 run with the new stuff on....if i lose, it wont be by much....i have drivin these before, and they are bang for the buck....i might have an edge when i install the hennessey header kit and the jet chip i just ordered

  • Well a stock XRS can do 0-60 in under 7 seconds with a good driver behind the wheel. I think this XRS is pretty much stock. There's a completely N/A XRS on youtube with a bunch of mods...that one does 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. The thing that gets the XRS going is it's gearing. It's very strong for a corolla. I know what your stratus can do but I don't think you can beat a full bolt on XRS, especially with a good driver.

  • Under 7 seconds stock? i pretty much have to see it...i can believe a 7 second range...on the hennesey website, there was an intrepid with the 2.7.....it had the I/H/E and an upgraded ECU....it dynoed a 232 whp....idk the exact flywheel hp, but i think it would be around 265....i cant beat a full bolt on XRS now, but if I get all of the bolt ons installed then it would be close.....ha ha or I can just go to mexico and get a real R/T....low 14's in the quarter

  • well celica vvtli ss2 can do 0-100kphp in 6.7

  • I'll have to agree...I'm not a professional in any way and I've run 0-60 in 7.1 in my BONE STOCK XRS.

  • exactly. I've run 0-60 in my '05 corolla LE 5 speed manual in 7.7 seconds. Powershifting of course but that's how I get it done.

  • @sleepisyummy HAHAHAHA!!!! thanks for the laugh bud

  • what?

  • A, it cant do under 7 seconds stock. B, a regular corolla will not get to 60 in 7.7 seconds!!!! hahaha. they get to 60 in over 10... and thats not even sarcastic.

  • Watch the videos from the dragstrip under the username "chopstix1861" and watch the video where I ran a 15.89 in my stock corolla LE. It's called "Toyota Corolla 15.8 Quarter Mile Time."

You're an idiot, and obviously have never been inside a Corolla. Lol. A 15.89 quarter mile means I did 0-60 in oh would you look at that, 7.6-7.7 seconds. Stock XRS with a good driver does exactly 7 seconds, or 6.9 from 0-60.

  • @herky303 a corolla xrs should not even be compared to regular corollas douchebag

  • @Azn69Knight looking through the comments from a year ago? glad you're keeping busy

  • Take out a stock 350Z from a downshift? Uh...what? Please tells us that you don't really believe that you can take out 13 second cars...

  • @for3varklier explain how a 170 horsepower corolla can hang with a 300 horsepower evo or take out a 300 horsepower 350Z.

  • @benzbubblecat Easy as can be you ignorant shit.

    Power to weight ratio.

  • @ManRossDamn okay, how about 0-60 times? evo X is 3.5 seconds, 350Z is 5.4 seconds, XRS is 7.8 seconds. do you understand the different between those three numbers, you "ignorant shit?"

  • @benzbubblecat You are so ignorant.

    Go learn something.

Then explain how "TheCorollaXRS" Has runs up to 6.0 and 5.9 Zero - Sixties?

    Explain.

Go research, you're so damn lousy.

You need your gay ass "FR" and "AWD" trannies to help you.

    Damn trashy arrogant punk.

  • @ManRossDamn lol I give you the manufacturer's 0-60 numbers and you tell me to go do my research? Even though your totally arbitrary "5.9 seconds" figure doesn't even touch either of those numbers? you are hopeless....

  • @for3varklier Your Corolla can hang with EVO's??? REALLY??? Who are you kidding?

  • hmmmm...guess what....IT WAS NOT LAUNCHED...if it did it would be bout 6 sec (1.8L BIACH)

  • hmmm...10 seconds... idk man... nice sound... good old reliable imports... but too slow.

  • actually if u learned how to count and looked at it when the car actually started going it was 7-8 seconds.... not 10

  • thanks for your correction, but thats still not too good, the 08 malibu does 0-60 in 6.5 seconds, and it ways double the corrola

  • TRUE TRUE they are not very fast cars and should not be considered fast cars unless they have a turbo or alot of mods slapped on them haha plus they take premium fuel... that's gotta suck! haha

  • ya, something about them you just gotta like though...

  • not even the v6 malibu could do dat

  • check the vids man...i timed my dad's friends aswell. 7-8 seconds is nothing. doesn't take much to pull that off.
