  • lovely bit of driving, I can drive like that on the x-box with the simulation steering turned off...doh

  • this clip should be 10 mins long not 1 min long

  • I CLOSED my porn tab so this video would load faster.

  • you a car is great if you have the confidence in it to drive it hard on a wet track

  • wow going that fast on so wett track was extremley fun

  • greatest car today IMHO and walter rohrl is one of the greatest drivers ever in motorsport

  • If you have an erection lasting more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help to avoid long-term injury.

  • I swore it said "Intelligence. Independence. Irrelevance." there for a second.

  • currently the price is almost 300.000€, this is the most expensive Porsche, more than Mercedes S 65 AMG! Incredible!

  • @henday750

That's about 60.000 euros more expensive than here in Belgium. Where are you from ?

  • @nielsboex Im from Poland but I mean the price in Germany, cause in Germany the GT2 RS costs almost 300.000 euros so even more than the most powerful S-class... But Im surprised you say 60.000 euros less?

    confused...

  • @henday750

I mean here the GT2 RS costs 240000 instead of 300000.

  • @nielsboex I see...and it's quite intersting - such a big difference...

  • O_O what a machine

  • skills or it's an awsome car

    @@

  • the reason why i like porsches is because its mostly manual not paddle shifters

  • WHy do they all seem to want to race and drive in the goddamn rain? Why don't these morons just wait for a nice dry day?

  • @fadethetrade

Because unlike american cars, these things can actually be handled in the rain. And when you are given a car like this to test, you cant always chose what day you get it.

  • @Janusha HAHA! You think walter rohl didnt have enough connections to pick a non rainy day???Of course he could pick any day. He's sought after as a spokesman,he writes his own ticket. He deliberatley chose a rainy day.

  • @fadethetrade

Im talking about car reviewers in general. If this is Sir Walther Rohrl, then he is a living legend and chief test driver for Porsche so for fucks sake.. clearly he can do as he god damn pleases with Porsches cars.

  • anyone else have a boner watching this beast

  • @bmxrider222 I think I need to contact a doctor.... It won't go away

  • @jsutherman just hear a bieber song. it'll go away xD

  • @cardude1992

    XD

  • @bmxrider222 Does anyone else have a boner from thinking about bmxrider222's boner?

  • How did the 7:18 time around the nurburgring get approved for this car? It was just a manufacturer's claim.

  • @MrTyronePimp nope. Walter Roehrl actually did it. 07:17:something...

  • @frankudo so y isn't it posted on wiki? just curious cause i like to get my facts straight.

  • @MrTyronePimp don't know. maybe nobody has posted it yet. But If I'm not entirely wrong, the video of Walter's flying round can be found here on youtube somewhere.

  • @frankudo yea but that doesn't mean its a legit time, the car has to be run as close to stock as possible to make it on the production vehicle list otherwise it gets posted in the non-series/road legal lap times... but odd that time isn't posted there either. But even more confusing is a "manufacturer claim" from Porsche being an accepted time for a series/road legal vehicle.

  • @MrTyronePimp thats odd. I was just reading up on the whole thing a little bit. Seems that the laptimes of new Porsche never appear on the production list. I guess that could make sense because Walter takes them on a spin before they go into production. But I dont get why they would not appear at least on the "non-series" list.

I'm gonna ask Walter about it when I run into him next time :D

  • Forget Mike, I wanna be like Walter!

  • thats sick...

  • i hate douches that hate porsches but yet they go on the videos

  • 8500rpm redline??!!?! fuck yea porsche is the shit.

  • 458 italia leave this car in its dust

  • @ThomasJosephBennett No sir. Putting this against the 458 would be like putting a fat kid in a race against a runner back from the nfl. Its not much of a match, get an after market 458 and your making your beating look less terrible but still terrible. Porsche will never stop out shining ferrari and any other car maker. They have two of the fastest accelerating cars in the world. The Carrera GT biturbo and the 9ff gtr hold the records for fastest cars to 186mph.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 put it up againt an mp4-12c and see what happens.. the mclaren would kill the porker

  • @steflotti105 No, it would most definitely not. The Mclaren makes less power and weighs more. How do you figure? But I'm not going to deny mclaren for the simple fact of the F1. That car did the unthinkable. But theres another automaker that does the unthinkable and that would be Porsche. The Carrera GT proved to be more than what people thought it for. It was suppose to do 0-60 in 4.0. It was suppose to do the quarter mile in 11.7 and a top speed of 202mph....;

  • @steflotti105 But when test driven it was doing 0-60 as fast as the Enzo. It was doing 0-100 as fast as the Enzo. It was doing the quarter mile in 11.1 which was a tad bit slower than the Enzo but faster than the Mclaren F1. And on average hits a top speed between 208-211mph. It was highly underrated as is most of Porsches cars. But Mclaren always does the impossible. I don't see the Mclaren beating this car though. And it if does it should be a super close race.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 well the mclaren is claimed to do 0-62mpg in 3.1, 0-124 in 8.9 and the 1/4 in 10.9 at 135mph.. and with its hydraulic suspension mclaren claim up to 25% more grip than a conventionally sprung and controlled car..

i love the porsche for its purity, the Mclaren is yet again in a league of its own with its all round ability and raw speed

  • @steflotti105 Yeah but I'd rather see it actually do it. I don't think it will do 124mph in 8.9, but if it does I would believe. Mclaren is known for making a little bit go a long way. I mean I don't think any other automake could take a 600hp car and make it do 241mph. It took Bugatti 1001hp just to go ten miles faster and it took Koeingsegg 806hp to go 241mph and TVR 800hp to go 240mph. But they had the MP4-12c race the 911 turbo with 500hp and it had a bad start and still caught up....

  • @steflotti105 The 911 gt2 rs has 120 more hp. If the Mclaren could barely take a 911 turbo a quarter mile even after it had a bit of a head start, I highly dout it'd take the 911 gt2. If the 911 turbo would have started at the same time the Mclaren did it would have lost barely or tied or possibly beat it to the quarter mile. And it does the quarter mile in like 11.5-11.7. I'd say the mclaren probably does it in 11.5 second in reality.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 we'll see but i cant see mclaren makin false claims that far out.. the word on the grapevine is that the m1p4-12c can do the 'ring in as near as damn it 7 mins dead.. it has a seamless shift box which the gt2 rs doesnt.. it has a lagless turbo engine which cant be said for a porsche turbo nevermind a gt2rs with more boost..

  • @ThomasJosephBennett r u dumb? the gt3rs is a much lesser car to the gt2rs and it can still beat the 458

  • There can be only one, Porsche 911 since 1964.

  • Love the GT2, see mine:

  • this car is amazing, faster than ferrari or lambo

scary me ,i think its hard drive as 100%

  • Pussy cars, ferrari, lambo, porshe, mclaren, all can fuck off, you couldnt change anything about these cars except for a few minor tweaks, to the body, the computer, and you couldnt afford these unless your some autotuning black ass fag who sucked 50 cent's dick to get big, American all the way

  • @GNNStudios

Youre an inbred, useless, peice of shit, American wannabe hillbilly. "American all the way" yeah right...

Only in the last 5 years has American cars been making a comeback. Since the 1980's, American cars has been the bitch by BMW, Mercedes, Audi's, Toyota, and even Honda.

No one cars about your pointless quarter mile drag races. If all these car brands you just mentioned are terrible, why do so many people want them? Why are they the standards for Corvettes and Mustangs?

  • @med1491 well until the 911 gt_ the zr1 did have the current fastest time at the 'nur ring for a production car...

  • @Billboard2001

Your point? It took American cars nearly decade for them to build a car like the Viper and ZR1. Until then, European cars were king. Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, even Mercedes have cars that can match if not best a ZR1. It will take years for American cars to catch up again.

  • @med1491 My point being that the zr1 was king for a while. They didn't have cars that could set such times much less compete with the price tag...

  • @Billboard2001

Yeah, being the "king" is pretty much a cycle to be honest...

  • @med1491 very true

  • The point of a 911 is that it's a true drivers car. It's not easy to drive! It's demanding, challanging, and very rewarding when done correctly. They have come close to perfecting it, and here it is. Fast cars cost money, go buy a Cayman if you want a run of the mill Porsche. Or, get a 911 turbo if you want a real P-car... You will never understand these cars if you've never had one on the track. Real German performance true to history... (air cooled motors were better though)

  • i'm a 911 owner and i can tell you the driving characteristics of a rear engine and rwd car is like nothing else i've ever driven before. you need to drive it to understand. since most of you eleventeen year olds cant "drive" a porsche on gran tourismo you'll never know what it's like.

  • So...the 911 needs to be retired because it costs too much? Don't think owners of this care about the cost or gas prices. They need to redesign the 911 again and make it more appealing or use a different engine, etc. That's a better comment. This )besides styling) is the best Porsche to date. Styling is too similar among there models. That's why people buy the Cayman. In fact I think ot is better styled.

  • It's sad that Porsche has never perfected this car. It would be far superior as a 2 passenger coupe with a mid-engine design. Far more compact and would offer true balance. You could use any size engine that way. How about a 4.5 liter?

  • @Umaxen Exactly. That's why the 911 needs to be retired and be suceeded by the Cayman which can offer better performance at a lower price.

  • We need to lower expenses that cost burden to human life. We are not making much. These things are mortgage/rent, income taxes, state DMV registration and other related fees, the cost of automobile and health insurance, parking meters and now bridge tolls. This will leave extra cash in our pockets to pay bills.

  • yes she is here ::)

    thanks !!!!!

  • they are very quiet on board mdr :)

    so pretty :) !

  • it is still a puzzle why a rear wheel drive and rear eng car can be superior in the track. It is arguable, historically. Well, only Porseche holds the key on this. See my GT2 on the rign:

    /watch?v=lr-ui_OX4fg

  • The fact that this $250K car has been stripped off of its comfortability and does just as well as the Viper ACR, Corvette ZR1, and the Nissan GTR means that this almost 50 year old MODEL has reached its LIMITS that it needs to go to the GRAVE and let the the Cayman take over as the flagship b/c it's possible to improve its engineering to lap the 'Ring at less than 6:30 w/ a 5.0L twin turbo engine in the middle and be more bang for the buck that the 911 and its competitors.

  • @unknownunknowns

    Are you trolling or something?

The "50 year old" car is still beating them all, go check for the official lap time.

In other words, Japs and American muscle cars still have a few years before they match the GT2 RS and by then, Porsche will probably laugh at them and say to each other: "Mein Gott in Himmel, it took the Americans and the Japs 50 years to beat us, should we start working again?"

Nothing lasts forever, perhaps in 10 years they eventually get beaten,

  • @M1710 First, it has beaten them by just a COUPLE of secs. Second, at TRIPLE the price. So they will beat it b/c I predict GM will downsize its 6.2 and replace the supercharger w/ a turbo, Dodge downsizing and applying a supercharger, and Nissan putting an electical motor to help the turboed engine. However, I do like that you said, "Nothing lasts forever, perhaps in 10 years they eventually get beaten." Yes, if the mid-engined Cayman gets proped up.

  • @unknownunknowns A Cayman getting into the 6:30's? Give me a fucking break. That's Group C race car territory, and somehow I don't think the Cayman's bodystyle is going to produce the ludicrous amounts of downforce that those cars made, much less the power they put out either. The GT2 beat the ZR1 by roughly ten seconds and it still has more luxury amenities than the Dodge Viper ACR that lapped 7:22. The GT2 RS doesn't do "just as good" as these cars. It exceeds them in all performance aspects.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy Except why does that the GT2 and GT2 RS cost absurdly DOUBLE compared to the others? As you know the engine behind the rear axel is the CULPRIT and so the engineers had to work more exhaustingly to improve that handling just to match them sinces it keep throwing the rear outward at a corner. Just look at the 40 yr olds w/o the spoiler. All that work while all they had to SIMPLY do was put it in between the rear axel and cockpit and it's so much cheaper. The 911 needs to retire.

  • @unknownunknowns The rear end isn't just reandomly thrown outward in a corner. What they were notorious for was lift-off oversteer. If you actually know what you're doing in a 911, it's a fantastic experience steering with the back end. And lets not get started on the fit and finish on the GT2 and RS compared to the ZR1 and especially the ACR. It's expensive because it's a limited production automobile, furthermore. And once more, it doesn't match those other cars. It exceeds them. Live with it.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy Maybe, it's understood the 'fit and finish' justifies just PART of it but at DOUBLE the price??? Here's the thing if the 911 were so great, then I want to see a Cayman GT2 RS and they should be compared side by side.

  • @unknownunknowns Get a job at Porsche, suck Ferdinand Piech's dick, and maybe they'll make your dream Cayman. Until then, tough cookies. Only 500 GT2 RS were made, and they were all claimed before the car even left the production lines. Bitch and moan all you want, but the GT2 RS was a turbocharged middle finger to the other major automakers, and they pulled a major upset with it. Not to mention the 911 is still competitive in motorsport. What an awful and outdated design it must be.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy As I said, before why doesn't Porsche grant the Cayman a 500hp engine just like the Panamera and Cayenne, and you didn't address it. Probably it would give the 911 a run for its money.

  • @unknownunknowns Because of bureacracy. Porsche wants the 911 to be their flagship car. If you know Porsche history, this should come as no surprise to you.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy I guess they don't want to piss off their fans but hopefully they can adapt as the competition gets intense. Also, they should be reminded that it's the 'beetle' design that is iconic, NOT the 911 model name itself. So, that MAJOR change to the 'beetle' model should be just 'moving' that engine forward for better weight distribution at the corners.

  • @unknownunknowns They've been adapting the car ever since it first came out, and it still continues to be competitive both on the street and in competitive motorsports. How is the "beetle desing" (I guess you're meaning layout) iconic and not the 911 model name? The car's been around for almost 50 years, has undergone design changes throughout it's lifetime, and is still here today in a form that harkens back to the original. Sorry, but saying the 911 is no iconic is plain stupid.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy I admire that Porsche is making these design changes but the reason the 'beetle design' is iconic is due to aerodynamic efficiency and the 911 is no longer iconic is b/c if you want a 911 getting the same performance as its competitors like the Corvette ZR1 or Nissan GTR, you end up paying for DOUBLE or more than its rivals. So, the Cayman is the viable competitor in this day and age.

  • @unknownunknowns For starters, the beetle is not an aerodynamic vehicle. It's drag coefficient is .48-.49 (comparable to an SUV), and you've obviously never been blown off the road in one when a 40mph crosswind hits the car. They are not aerodynamic at all. Secondly, Porsche has one of the highest reliability ratings of any manufacturer. When's the last time you heard of a ZR1 (which I love by the way) or a Nissan GTR test mule surviving 3 days of nonstop hotlapping (997 Turbo did this)?

  • @OhHeyThereGuy Maybe, they don't last as long but, again, the concern is that this GT2 RS is DOUBLE or more than its competitors. If this car were 50K more then maybe it's understood but not $160K. If you claim that the 911 is so great then WHY does Porsche just put a 500hp engine in the Cayman, just like its Panamera and Cayenne siblings? Apperently it'll beat it at a much lower price. More bang for the buck.

  • @unknownunknowns Holy shit, I already covered these questions. GT2 RS: Huge performance, limited production, it was a collector the moment all of them were sold, which was before the first one left assembly. Cayman: For bureacratic reasons, they will not do such a thing. Hell, you think the Cayman will do so well, then why don't cars like the F430 Scuderia (mid-engine rwd, 508hp) outperform the normal GT2? You do realize that dropping a V8 into the cayman=weight gain right?

  • @OhHeyThereGuy If you go to fastlaps(dot)com, and compare them, the F430 does 7:39 on the 'ring and the RS 7:18. However, on the Hockenheim Short, the F430 does 1:10, the GT2 RS, 1:08 and on the Sport Auto WET handling test the F430 superbly does 1:30 while the RS, 1:39. It could be the RS has 620 hp in a smaller dispacement so that contributed. I not saying put a V8 in the Cayman but put a flat 6 620 hp engine in the Cayman and it probably wouldn't be more than 140K.

  • @unknownunknowns Notice that the GT2 RS wins in all but the wet scenarios. Do remember that the GT2 RS uses Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires which are the closest thing that Michelin makes to street legal racing slicks. Slicks are not going to bode well in the wet, so that combined with huge power is not going to be good. Not to mention, the base GT2 did better than the Scuderia in that wet handling test. The GT3 had the fastest time in that test.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy First, driving a car in wet scenarios can help car companies improve their cars more so it should be counted. Second, where did you get the fact that the base GT2 did better in a wet handling test? I pointed out that the Scuderia did it in a wet track in NINE second less which, even if there's driver error, makes a HUGE difference. It could be the straights where the Porsche excels while the corners is where the Scuderia excels even more.

  • @unknownunknowns Not to mention, if by some snowball's chance in hell they actually did do something like that, they would definitely go the same route, make the car limited production, and ramp up the price. Won't happen though. This is Porsche, after all. But the fact of the matter is, another reason they're doing all this with the GT2 RS and now the GT3 RS 4.0 is because this is the swan song of the 997 model. Next up will be the 991. Expect evolutionary improvements.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy Even with evolutionary improvements for performance, it's unlikely that their prices won't be justified compared to the competition. Hence why the Cayman needs to be proped up even more than the 991. Remember, the Cayman S and the Carrera 997 both got similar lap times at the 'Ring, yet the Cayman is $16K cheaper.

  • @unknownunknowns Yeah but I highly doubt the majority of base model 911 buyers are going to track their car. Not to mention, it's still faster in a straight line compared to the Cayman S, which is what they'll probably be looking for. Not to mention, the fit and finish on the 911 is much nicer than that of the Cayman. Not to mention, when you look at the upper echelons of their lineup, the Porsche GT2 RS is substantially faster than the Carrera GT and a fraction of the price.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy I not too sure about the 'fit and finish', as I've been in both, and are just similar, but then again it's subjective. Anyway, you've pointed out how the GT is slower at a higher than the RS and I've pointed out that the Cayman did just as well at a fraction of the price. It could be that the GT 5.5L V8 engine is heavier and makes just as much power and is 200lbs heavier overall. Also it doesn't have that 'beetle' body so they have to 'reinvent the wheel' costing them money.

  • @unknownunknowns Yeah except the Carrara GT is roughly twice the price, not 10 grand, and you're still stuck with teh fact that the base 911 is still a better stoplight dragracer than the Cayman S, which is the majority of how these cars are driven hard. Secondly, the Carrera GT's engine is NOT a V8, so fail right there. It's a 5.7L V10, and the car weighs only 3,048lbs (roughly GT2 RS weight). I'm sure that all Carbon Fiber monocoque and that racing derived engine weren't too expensive /sarcasm

  • @OhHeyThereGuy Yes, the base 997 can beat the Cayman S in acceleration due to its 3.6L engine bigger than the Cayman 3.4L. Give the Cayman a 3.6L variant and it's not only match in acceleration but it'll go faster cornering at a lower price, which is why the Cayman needs to succeed the 911. OK, I made a mistake on the number of cylinders of the GT but it does not eradicated the fact that it has LESS POWER than the RS. Remember the GT is not a 'beetle' so it had to 'reinvent the wheel'.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy Also, since the Carrera GT has a V10 while the RS' is a flat 6, the may mean the GT's center of gravity is higher b/c of the height of the engine. So, it would hinder the entire car from going faster at a corner. Maybe, it could be a factor.

  • @unknownunknowns How do you know it'll go faster in cornering? Not to mention you're replacing the engine with a bigger, heavier, more expensive engine, and all the chassis and suspension tweeking/upgrading needed for this. There are aftermarket companies (Ruf) that do swaps for the Cayman S where they'll put in a 911 engine, but it's far from a simple swap. Lots of fabrication gets involved, new suspension is required, and you don't even wanna know the price it ends up costing.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy I think we maybe going off at a tangent and we need to get back on track. What I'm saying is why can't Porsche the company, not the after tunner or whatever, provide a more powerful engine to the Cayman? That's what I'm wondering. They should but they won't and maybe b/c the Cayman will outprice it.

  • @unknownunknowns I think the answer is pretty obvious. If they did, it would outperform the 911. It's already common news that Porsche already detunes the 3.4 Liter engine for that very reason. It's likely a marketing strategy for 911 consumers.

  • @1czelaya True but as its competitors make improvements like GM just did with its ZR1 that now has the same lap time on the 'Ring as this one, Porsche will be under pressure to upgrade the Cayman.

  • @unknownunknowns There's so much improvement that can be considered with the Cayman. The question is what is going to happen to the 911. Porsche cannot continue to use the current NA 3.8 liter engine. It's facing serious challenges from competitors, who are using forced induction. It can't really increase the displacement of the 6 cylinder engines (for obvious reasons). What will Porsche do? Will they brake way with tradition and finally go to a V8? Interesting times.

  • @1czelaya I'd really like to see a Flat-8, not a V8!

I personnally prefer forced induction engines, especially turbocharged ones :)

  • @unknownunknowns For example, the RUF Cayman RK Coupe has a 3.8L engine with a supercharger (440 hp), lowered (And stiffer) suspension, and because of the larger engine, it has a more rear biased weight distribution. The result: Comparable performance to a 996 Turbo for... wait for it... $245,000.

Concerning the Carrera GT, the reason the GT2 RS runs through corners better is probably because its body is designed to produce quite a bit of downforce (AND has a better cD), even at low speeds.

  • @unknownunknowns Probably....The Cayman is the better balanced car and if given the 911 gt2 rs running gear would out perform it in every measured performance category.

  • @unknownunknowns or also a toyota prius gt2 rs i don't get wut is ur point here odviously if they gave the cayman the power and all technology and aerodynamics to compete against the 911 it would but ten it woulnd't be a cayman anymore because u would be changing it's essence and the purpose for wich it was built don't get me wrong i love the cayman to death maybe more than the carrera but my point is if toyota used theyr resources to make a prius into an lfa it would be one

  • @diztorcion666 The main point isn't about the 'model' name but the fact that Porsche's engine in the rear is the CULPRIT of why it needs all those BIG spoilers and other mods bringing the price TWICE as much as the Nissan GTR. It's the concept of a 50:50 weight distrib. or just a slight rear bias which seems to work and it's working well with the Cayman to achieve those performance results. The cheaper Cayman S does as well as the cheapest 997.

  • @OhHeyThereGuy Well put my friend, well put!

  • i hate this comercial

  • THE BEST. AND FERRARI AND LAMBO CAN EAT MY SHIT

  • @Falhok LOL! Hahahahahaha!

  • @Falhok to make that even better, porsche has dominated in reliability, just exspensive to own and maintain, but who cares about that right:)

  • @Falhok lavati la bocca dopo che hai detto sta cazzata

  • The perfect marriage, perfect machine for best pilot.

  • @idpaipsc do you know what a pilot is?

  • well that really taught me alot...???

  • what an insane car! Thanks porsche for giving us something that is simply a proper sports car. Really, There is no subsitute.

  • Do any of you guys realize who this driver is? The legendary Walter Rohl, driver of the Audi S1 Group B rally car. Fuckin amazing driver right there. Big balls driving a Gt2 in the wet, he's used to ass loads of power in slippery conditions. Porsche and Audi both rock.

  • Perfect weather for a Ferrari 458 Italia, all you have to do is keep it moving to extinguish any engine fires. Porsche for life.

  • what a fantastic looking car!!!

bit of a handfull in the wet though

  • The code number for the GT2 RS was 727, one of the GTR's times on the Ring. Nissan threw a bone to Porsche, but they ended up bitten...hard, really hard.

  • Awesome Car!!!

    Awesome Driver!!!

    Awesome Video!!!

  • the 911 has 40 years of runs on the board... the gtr aint even out of nappies yet, so when it racks up year after year of class wins at le mans, then ill take notice. until then, its just a fukn datsun.

  • why not keep it at the vbox view? i want to see the performance

  • The fact that this $250K GT2 RS and the $90K Nissan GTR both have around 7:24 on the 'Ring has proven that the 911 is no longer a VIABLE model as Porsche's flagship. It is the mid-engined Cayman/Boxster that has a fighting chance against the GTR and the Corvette ZR1.

  • a great driver in a great car ^^

    perfect ^^

  • That guy shift like its a diesel!

  • @GMJBullseye

And you think you can do better?

Its wet, he's driving a 250k car, and it has 620 HP.

Oh and the funny part is, you're insulting the Michael Shumacher of Germany when you say, "he shifts like a diesel". Ha good joke.

  • @med1491

He said on top gear that he drives a fiat croma so how could i insult him if he's saying these embarecing things about himself. And jep I think I can shift later;) And his bro is at toyota so he must have had a midlife crisis when he was cruising the elfer.

  • @GMJBullseye

Ha you really think he only drives a Fiat? First of all, its Top Gear. Its an entertainment show. Of course everyone expects him to own a Porsche, genius. He's just trying to be funny and throw off the audience when he says hes driving a Fiat...thats like saying Micheal Schumacher doesnt drive a Ferrari.

And no, I am certain you would wreck that GT2 on the barrier going 40 MPH. If youre so much better than Mr. Walter Rohrl, I'd like to see you race him. And get humiliated.

  • Les départementales encore humides de rosée ne lui font pas peur. Comme avec toute 911 à deux roues motrices, le train avant exige d’être “plaqué” au sol à grands coups de freins avant d’imaginer braquer. (French)

    Porsche 911 GT2 RS 620 ch., 239 589 €

  • @automotomagazine

Nice price, we are getting screwed by our goverment in The Netherlands the want €333.000 for it. Just tax of 100.000, and what do they do with it? Giving it to the lazy people here :( But good enough we got ourselfs a new right goverment so they can cut the crazy socialistic taxes.

Je suis desole "if" te ne lire anglais pas.

  • sure you can mod a gtr with this, that, and the other thing, but no matter how much you mod it, no matter how fast you make it... it will always be a nissan. Porsche has had a racing reputation for YEARS!

all that Porsche does is performance oriented cars. one focus, one goal.

    Porsche = Excellence

  • @Kheops63 oh, thanks. :D

  • what's the difference between the gt3 rs and gt2 rs?

  • @bkrc123 : well, a GT3 is a 3.8 N/A engine with 435hp (450 for the GT3 RS) and the GT2 RS is the old Le Mans engine 3.6L with 2 VTG turbos on it: 620hp

  • You really need to have a BIG SET OF HAIRY BALLS to drive this car! I love it!

  • The GTR is a great car yeah i know but its heavy and its a good thing but porsche has been making sport cars since the late 50's u cant compete with a company that makes differnt variety of cars to a company tht has made sports cars for the last 55 years

  • @ApacheLongbow1225 You are right the 2012 gtr cost half a 911 turbo s is just as fast and outhandles it!Now how can anyone argue with that.I didnt think so.Thank you!

  • Why does walter always pick rainy days to drive the porsches on these review videos?.He can't wait for a nicer day?

  • Comment removed

  • @ponsitogt lmao that was a funny comment dude

  • WhoooooHoooooo i want one! no im serious i want one!.....now! grrrrrrrr!

  • @veeman37 cough up $250000 and its all yours!

  • I kinda wish it sounded more like a Porsche 935. Just seems appropriate.

  • It's so quiet. This engine package is really awesome. I think it should be sold to other manufacturers to put in other cars.

  • i dont like porsche mainly cuz they mostly look like vw bettle but this acutally looks nice

  • @Vedalked01259

    Clarkson is that you?

  • Comment removed

  • gt2tr = my fav :)

  • The Nissan GTR spec V is a piece of shit, an entry level sports car wishing one day it can be a porsche. PORSCHE is king!!!!

  • sw100xg. When you used the term "walk", you exposed yourself as a fanboy. And, at the end of the day - the fact is, the GTR is an ugly pig, unreliable, and a nissan. I'll take a $5K Miata, a $99 Sawzall, $10K in mods, and "walk" your Spec V up and down the track. The only problem is, my $hitbox will be nothing more than your GTR $hitbox. If you don't understand what I am saying by this - my point is proven.

  • The ZR1s , GTRs and Vipers can outpace the GT2 RS if they can but they would not even be on my list.

At the end of the day the Porsche is not just about ultimate performance.

While the Japs and -unfortunately- the Italians have been perfecting the semi auto gearboxes that eliminate gearchange times and electronics that take work off the driver, Porsche stick to the roots.

They find progress in perfecting the mechanical car-driver connection.

Porsche is the new undisputed King of sportscars.

  • I love this car!!! so much better looking than the GTR and ZR1

  • so this is Porsche's fastest production car?

  • Porsche, often imitated but never duplicated.

  • @Deca04 "There is no substitute"

  • @Deca04

you familiar with Lou Albano too, hehe thats cute
