That said, YouTube is horrible at customer service and should have directly contacted users of the problem. I also know that YouTube doesn't like to fix things fast, so expect the glitch to continue for awhile.

@EvanCRCD It's not affecting partner channels as much. They are still able to rise to the top of the most viewed. Check out the list of the most viewed videos of the day & you'll see that partner videos uploaded within the last day or two are well-represented. It's obviously just speculation to say that Youtube is deliberately doing this in order to silence alternative media, but you can't argue that it's not happening. I think partner channels are given priority when Youtube updates its views.

Of course, it doesn´t effect my channel, I only have an average of 260 - 290 views a day for a total of 58 videos. Half the views go to one single video, wich leaves 120 - 140 views per day for the remaining 57. At this rate I don´t have to worry about becomming a youtube partner in the first place.

They can steal views from the cache before they update the fake total, and that's what they've been doing for years. Also, if the views stay low at first, the video will miss the opportunity for top viewed, top fav'd, or top rated status on the day of upload.
