There was a CME before both Japan and Christchurch earthquakes.

@koorgen it is 11 year cycles. temperature rising has nothing to do with these cycles. that is something else, but natural. some says it isn`t only earth heating up,the other planets as well. this 11th year of the sun cycle is predicted to be big compared to normal, whats bothering is that the earths electro magnetic field has got a huge unexplainable hole in it...

This is the Fourth, and Strongest, CME of 2012. We have named this one DALTON after John Dalton, English chemist, meteorologist and physicist. Arrival appears to be around the 22nd/23rd.

An M-Class flare heading towards Earth is natural especially during a solar maximum. If it were an X-Class flare, there would be cause for concern. X-class flares directed at Earth usually are accompanied by an earthquake a couple days later. Japan's quake on 3/11/11 was preceeded by an X-class flare.

@2degucitas .......Perhaps because the mainstream media has already received an alert about it, but found it unworthy of reporting, due to previous "occasions" not producing an "head-turning" visual results that would be of interest to the MASS pubic audience.....Also, even if it did have the possibility of burning a couple wires, etc.., The media may STILL not say anything because that could cause a POSSIBLE mass panic.....In the Govt's eyes, its better for the "masses" to not know about it...

I think most do not know what CME stands for, or it's significance to us...a coronal mass ejection will fry the surface of the earth if it's big or hot enough....weaker ones can cause satellites to fry in orbit, interrupt power grids and telephone servie....and more....Some claim that one will someday end humans time on earth.

Yes I don't doubt it's from NASA and with no knowledge or understanding of these things I can't criticize. Just an honest observation really. But I don't trust NASA that's for sure hehehe
