Its a shame Labrie's voice got ruined soon after this. Personally, I don't think he ever recovered, this is just an amazing performance. This song always gives me chills when I hear it but that was some damn fine vocals, even compared to the album.

Probably the only dream theater song I don't think i'll ever find myself listening to. Its one of the weaker songs from awake.

Really only watched the video cause I wanted to see if James was getting weaker vocally before the cord rupture even happened. Doesn't look like it.

I think this is PUUURE genouis straight from the beutiful, mystic bassline-intro, to the ogasmic ending....This is beutiful, I feel very sad for you to not be able to appriciate a true masterpiece. Awake is awesome BTW

Sorry? The song is well put together, I just don't feel the lyrics as much as I do in other Dream Theater songs. I like almost everything else off of awake, and really anything i've heard from dream theater, I just can't make myself like this song as much as the others. I'd still listen to it if it was on, I don't hate it, I just don't like it that much.

I like the rytms in it, I´m a drummer so I pay normally lot of attention on the drums and bass and other more "rythmic" wibes in the song...and this is FULL of gorgeous rytms, like the first one, the intro. And the intro-drumming on "Scarred" is also a favorite!!

Well I was 8 at this time... but I'll admit James was pretty funny back in the day.

The one time I saw DT in concert was Gigantour 2005 and he was quiet and no one really moved around at all.

EVERYONE doesnt hate him... actually hes not THAT hated. many DTfans seems to be understanding that hes voice got once busted, but I still think he sang very good on the SC-tour...Atleast hes way better now than he ever was after the foodpoisoning.

Are there ANY material from the Awaketour before he had that accident?? They toured in America before he went to that trip down to Cuba. I think there must be some material from tha part of the world tour.

Hmmm...maybe. Sure hope NOT!!! I love James in all eras of DT, and get very angry when fans always complain about hes singing. Some times he really diserves it, but often they are complaining about little things, like "cant hear what hes singing" or "at ??:?? hes voice cracked a bit, he sucks". I listen to alot of Maiden too, and Bruce Dickinson is one of the best singers in rock, and he didn´t sounded near as good as James does today in the 80´s and 90´s.

after KevMo left, DT asked Jordan to play this trial gig with them and they wanted him permanently because all went well.. but The Dixie Dregs had asked him to go on tour with them at the same time, and he chose that. So DT hired Derek, .. and the rest is history
