It is a robust scanner, it is worth the money. Martin has done a really good job of designing this scanner. I think the light controller is very good if you do advanced DJ shows. However, it is less well advanced for a giant light shows with many lighting cues.
Thank you. I think most of what you se in the video is pre-programmed macros in the SCX scanner. In the beginning (20 seconds) of the video I use one scene where i selected different pre-programmed macro movements in the scanner, I ad random strobe, and change color whit 12 different scenes that is just made for changing color :) Its sad i forgot film my led FX I created. Very nice Sinus wave FX, Chases etc.
were u using lighting software or just sound to light mode in this video ??

Pocket Scan is a good beginner scan and its cheep to.

This vid is one of the better examples of LED pars. Nice wash on the people. SCX 600s also have a smooth dimmer.

how far roughly can these scanners beam and still maintain a good colour??????

In a dark room I will say about 9-12 meter. I have not tested the focus, but I think you can get realy good focus on the edge of the gobo.
