Yes it is, however nine times of of ten you will find the heroes hiding behind their auto turrets while the villains wait outside for them.

yes you get to fight other heros in a pvp zone

No. Just if U want to.

CoV is basically the same as CoH just other classes, powers and quests. If U want to fight other players U go to A PvP Zone but that is not neccessary at all and completely optional.
