I dont have time to follow Twitter but the scavenger hunt seems like a really fun idea and twitter seems like a good grass roots campaign. I am curious about how to buy a threadbanger Machine. Have a good trip.

I need help with sleeves.

Anyway you guys could show how to measure and make patterns for sleeves?

Or perhaps how to do different style sleeves? (i.e. flutter, puffy, ruffled)

You've cut out everyone who doesn't use twitter...and doesn't have a cell phone. Overly complicated plan which might be fun from YOUR end, but folks who won't, don't, or can't afford cell phones (hello! economy!) are left feeling even worse about things.

Bad 'priviledged-only' plan. Smells like myopia and wide but shallow social circles.

there are a lot of people excited about it. i think it will be fun for everyone. plus, we have a lot of contests. we have given away 4 sewing machines and one serger to our viewers. not to mention countless books/magazines and other what-have-yous. no need to feel bad, we'll have another sewing machine contest soon. we just wanted to do something fun for the makerfaire.

you can use twitter simply by texting. it is really easy. we will have an explanation up on our site in a bit.

the jacket with ipod controls on the sleeve is nothing new.... thats been around on high end skiing/snowboarding jackets for years! mine has it and i got it 2 years ago. to go with skiing helmets that have built in wireless headphones

i know it's a great promotional tool and you guys need to earn money, but FFS... enough with the damn twitter! I can understand wanting to run the hunt via cell phone. In fact, I think that's a cute idea. Contrary to popular belief, ***not everyone uses twitter.*** Forcing your fan base to do so to even participate in a contest is alienating those who have made threadbanger a success. Less about Sheeple. More about DIY

yeah i'm not happy about the twitter idea too

i still can't figure twitter out cause i have been there like only 4 times and that just for the contest(which probbably will turn out just as a waste of time cause i never win anything:(...) and there is no way i could do the cell phone thing but actually i don''t even live near america so i wouldn't do this thing anyhow:D

i have a regular old cell phone with a texting plan. no blackberry, no iphone. my plan is 200 texts a month. i pay $5 for it. otherwise i pay 20 cents per text.

we will be sending out about 10 texts that day. so if you don't have a texting plan that would work out to being $2. for the over $150 worth of prizes that are guaranteed to each participant, i would say that its worth it.
