Well I have a old Teamsters withdrawal card, spent 45 years industrial maintenance from grease macanick Maintenance manger, feed mills, grain elevators to glass industrial designed built machines still have some of them running they tell me but now with the back I am wheel chair bound on anything over 15 to 20 minutes on my feet. So take care of your back. If I get the income I want a room just for cranes and hope to have them to pass on to the grandson when I am done with them.
I just a old Vet and I never could afford these always wanted some of the big Manitowoc's. Us to use cranes a lot on my constriction jobs, hope to in my retirement but after working hard all the years when my back gave out and could not work anymore the Wife said I could not take care of her anymore and cleaned me out of all my saveings and left. Do I very much enjoy your assemble videos
thanks, without the extension kit, its about 6ft tall but if you add the kit, it goes up to 12 ft, the luffing jib comes with the crane, the model comes as shown on the video, i recommend getting the kit because it makes the model 10x better
i saw you have many cranes, wher did you get those and did you do this al by yourself wiht the electic or are they ready to buy? or did you yuse a book?
this modells are die cast modells in 1/50. there´s no electic inside. the modell, the Manitowoc 18000 was build by TWH and costs round 679 € in diverse shops who sell this modells.
i would recommend it to whoever wants one, but i think if youve never had a crawler crane model, then i would suggest getting a smaller crane first to get experience putting one together because it takes alot of patience and you need space for this crane, its huge!
This really is an excellent video. I really want to buy badly but I just don't think I have the room. The trailer that held all the weights for the max-er Only would have weighed like 300,000 lbs in real life though ;) j/k but you did a great job thanks
Nice idea, but i'm not too enthousiastic about the video. You change the images so fast that the viewer needs to use the pause button every 5 seconds to really appreciate the model and the building process.
thnx..yea ive had mine for almost 3 years now..you just have to have patience...i would clamp the block to a table or something so you will keep tension..hope this helps..good luck

cranedude07 2 years ago
What did you use to build that 18000? I can't read the decal on the assist crane.
The company I'm with uses 16000s and 18000s for wind towers because a 999 is too small.
