flashed BIOS and now system locks up on mem test, re entering set up, everything... windows wont load. system just locks up before it can do much of anything... wtf?
None of these tutorial videos help me because my utility doesn't want to actually browse the drives I have connected. Everything just shows up blank. I see drive letters, and a flash drive with the .bin is plugged in but no luck. Any suggestions?
I have an Asus G71gx with Bios revision 1704. I need to install 1201. I have the file, and tried to install it using the Asus Update Utility. It will not do it because it is an older Bios. It says I need Asus DOS Utility, which is nowhere to be found not even on Asus' own site. This is extremely frustrating. Please message me I really don't know what to do. I don't know what this EZ Flash stuff is and I don't know how to update these damned drivers. PLEASE HELP!
Saves you having to go through the long process of using a bootable device and using a dos based utility...yeah right!.... this method is a lot faster and if a frog had wings it wouldn't bump its ass a hoppin.
1. save the file to a bootale device and then 2 connect a bootable device to computer....oh yeah see that open door go open it.

yes it will work i just updated my bios 30 secs ago omg its so easy just restart your computer get into the app and it automatically finds the find update and your done. this totally fixed my new ram issue i was having
this was so helpful had my mobo flashed in less than in less than 5mins just make sure u get the a copy of ur old bios as well in case it fails and use belark adviser to get it .l recomend the 2nd way right throug the bios its the easiest way
Where do I get the .ROM file? If I download de lastest BIOS from the ASUS website, they give me a .BIN file... o.O I know its a kind of ISO file.. but I can't run it.. so I don't know the name of the file.
And where can I choose the drive at 0:45, Do I need to unplug the harddrive?
