There isn't a professional NHL defenseman in the entire league who would go into the boards to dig a puck out without a strong stance. Also, when the puck does come to him, he's way more concerned with Cooke then taking a hit to make a play. That's how you know Jackman's dive is bullshit and a DIVE.

I think the league should suspend Jackman for his own safety and to send a message that putting yourself in more danger than was originally there just to get a PP is a dumb thing to do. Diving is one thing but one of these days a player is going to really hurt himself doing this stuff and will wrongly make the other player look guiilty by association in the process. I hear Jackman after the game walked in front of a moving car to try to hopefully collect on a settlement.

When I first saw the play, my first thought was, "Cooke, you dumbass! Way to kill your team late in the game." Then watching him act all innocent pissed me off further. But upon seeing a few replays, I have came to determine that it was a dive ala Mike Ribeiro. (I'm talking about the dive followed by an Oscar worthy performance of pain to sell it.) 1.Cooke didn't shove him very hard (unless he's suddenly the strongest NHLer on earth.) 2. Jackman's legs extended as he flew into the boards.

Anyone saying this was a bad hit, doesn't know the game of hockey. Cooke with 16 PIMs this season has made great changes in his game and still been a good hockey player while doing that. Jackman went into the boards face first and with that kind of a dive, could have been hurt. There should have been a penalty on the hit... a diving penalty.
