To continue the REAL story is the one no one has heard before. That price increase is mostly caused by increase of the money supply when money is created in access.

Also the government benefits from this system because they can create IOUs and sell them and if they can't they can give them to the banks to create money out of nothing.

Thus the government has a problem if interest rates are too high, so it is their best interest to have low CPI numbers and thus justify lower interest rates.

Americans need to understand that corporate news media has the interest of their shareholders as a priority over informing their viewers, so much so, that its seems like they're purposefully trying to distract the public, with the help of entertainment media, from seriously important news that might embarrass investors.
