you can just create a software instrument below it and play along with the sound file with the notes that you want the evoc to play. just delete the software synth afterwards.
excellent. for once a logic tutorial that doesnt involve some idiot speaking at a rate of two words per minute, interspersed with constant uhhhh's and emmmmm's. nice and efficient. no need to spell everything out over and over again. THATS WHAT REWIND IS FOR YOU SLOW IDIOTS WHO WASTE HOURS OF MY LIFE. when will they die?
Around 2.20 secs you say "we will drag in the midi file to activate the notes....." where are these midi files from. Sorry this is where you lost me as a beginner....where do these come from?
Very helpful video, this is great! My only question now is how can I record the audio live? I don't have an external mic but I have the mic that is built into my MacBook. I don't know how to record with it in Logic yet, I use Logic Express, but I know how to make a WAV file and put it into the track like you did in the video.
I tried it again and there is something new for me. When I mute the modular track on the channel in my AW, it won't go. When I however, mute the track on the strip, it goes. mmmm, I don't understand but the result is the same.
By the way, I visited your website, great stuff, big compliment, great artist !!!!!
You are a very very smart man. Not only do you know your stuff... you spoke french, spanish, english and portuguese. Much respect from me a fellow Producer. I recently purchased Logic 8 and Reason 4. I am a new learner and your tutorials help tremendously. Keep teaching bro!
Thanks for your help! I appreciate your time and effort!

Hello, I make them and export them to the desktop, then I just drag them in the project.
That is to speed up the teaching process.

Is there a way to do this live? By that I mean talking into a microphone and playing chords on a midi keyboard. Can that be accomplished somehow?

If you can speak French, Spanish and Italian, Portuguese should be easy for you, no?

Just select your MacBook's mic in the Audio Preferences and you are good to go.
My suggestion is to wear headphones when you record to avoid feedback.

Hi! I have no presets in my library, that's completly empty, what can i do?
anyway your video is excellent
biszol 3 years ago
If there are no presets in your library perhaps you must reinstall the whole package.
The library is about 40 GB.
Otherwise you can make your own presets.
Cheers!

Hi - I'm completely new to this. For some reason the Vintage Vocoder folders are not in my Library. Do I need to purchase those? Thanks
NateNYC 3 years ago
Hello NateNYC, which version of Logic do you have? you should be able to access your presets from the plugin window also.
Cheers.
