  • Thanks for your help! I appreciate your time and effort!

  • Yeah I am wondering the same thing. did you step input them or use another program to create the midi files?

  • you can just create a software instrument below it and play along with the sound file with the notes that you want the evoc to play. just delete the software synth afterwards.

  • Thank you so much; so helpful and quick!

  • You're welcome!

    Thank you for teaching!

  • Awesome tutorials. Thank you so much. So much better than all the other tutorials out there.

  • nice job

  • where are the midi tracks and if u make them, how and where????

  • Really helpful tutorials - thanks

  • great stuffffff

  • excellent. for once a logic tutorial that doesnt involve some idiot speaking at a rate of two words per minute, interspersed with constant uhhhh's and emmmmm's. nice and efficient. no need to spell everything out over and over again. THATS WHAT REWIND IS FOR YOU SLOW IDIOTS WHO WASTE HOURS OF MY LIFE. when will they die?

  • Around 2.20 secs you say "we will drag in the midi file to activate the notes....." where are these midi files from. Sorry this is where you lost me as a beginner....where do these come from?

  • Hello, I make them and export them to the desktop, then I just drag them in the project.

That is to speed up the teaching process.

  • but what are the midi tracks of?

  • How have you made the original audio you've used into midi, this is where i'm getting stuck, thanks

  • Is there a way to do this live? By that I mean talking into a microphone and playing chords on a midi keyboard. Can that be accomplished somehow?

  • I want to know that too :D

  • me too :)

  • thanks heaps

  • This did not help me. I have followed exactly what you're doing and I get nothing.

  • thx 4 ur video

btw do u kmow how can i use vocoder in samplitude10 for windows ?

  • You're quadrolingual? That's impressive in itself.

  • Awesome. Really helpful.

If you can speak French, Spanish and Italian, Portuguese should be easy for you, no?

  • Very helpful video, this is great! My only question now is how can I record the audio live? I don't have an external mic but I have the mic that is built into my MacBook. I don't know how to record with it in Logic yet, I use Logic Express, but I know how to make a WAV file and put it into the track like you did in the video.

  • Just select your MacBook's mic in the Audio Preferences and you are good to go.

My suggestion is to wear headphones when you record to avoid feedback.

  • Hi! I have no presets in my library, that's completly empty, what can i do?

    anyway your video is excellent

  • If there are no presets in your library perhaps you must reinstall the whole package.

The library is about 40 GB.

Otherwise you can make your own presets.

    Cheers!

  • Can I suggest going a little slower.. Its hard to follow the screen and use my computer at the same time. Otherwise good.

  • Hi, Great vid ! But.... I must be doing something wrong.

If I mute the modulator track, I hear nothing.

    Can U help me ??

Thnx, keep up the god stuff.

    Jarog

  • Make sure you have MIDI tracks playing the vocoder!

  • Hi Solar, thnx 4 your quick response.

I tried it again and there is something new for me. When I mute the modular track on the channel in my AW, it won't go. When I however, mute the track on the strip, it goes. mmmm, I don't understand but the result is the same.

By the way, I visited your website, great stuff, big compliment, great artist !!!!!

Thnx again, I will go on with the next vid.

    Bye,

    Jarog

  • You are a very very smart man. Not only do you know your stuff... you spoke french, spanish, english and portuguese. Much respect from me a fellow Producer. I recently purchased Logic 8 and Reason 4. I am a new learner and your tutorials help tremendously. Keep teaching bro!

  • Thank you for your kind comments, who doesn't like to be called smart?

The last language though is Italian not Portuguese, I wish I could speak Portuguese!

    Cheers.

  • Hi - I'm completely new to this. For some reason the Vintage Vocoder folders are not in my Library. Do I need to purchase those? Thanks

  • Hello NateNYC, which version of Logic do you have? you should be able to access your presets from the plugin window also.

    Cheers.

  • excellent vid!

how did you 'get' the 4 midi tracks on the screen. did you save them before hand?

  • Hi, thank you zodiacle, yes, I had a MIDI file ready, just to save time.

  • You've done it again. Another great instructional video which I can't wait to tryout.

    Thanks!!

  • Thank you, I'm glad you like it, have fun with the vocoder.
