there is a genetic research from an italian university (also standford have done a similar research). According to the research Greeks at 95% have the same dna with peole who lived in greek peninshula during neolithic ages. Also this research shows that Greeks are genetic brothers with southern Italians, southern French (mediterenian coast) southern Spaniards and many modern day Turks of east aegean coast (of course and Cyprus).
