  • If Pondmaster is one of the best then that's a pretty bad statement. In my experience I've found pond equipment to be some of the most poorly manufactured junk around. I might as well just dump it in the pond and let it run without any maintenance whatsoever considering how poorly the stuff is manufactured. I even had a CalPump die in a matter of hours and then saw its replacement die in a couple days. Many manufacturers don't even use stainless steel because of their low standards.

  • Pondmaster pumps are anything but reliable. I've had nothing but trouble with mine and Danner Manufacturing (the company that produces Pondmaster pumps) is a pain to deal with. They are slow to repair and don't even pay for shipping when their cheaply made pump fails to work.

  • I disagree, I've been selling PondMaster pumps for about 10 years now. The return rate is less than 3%. Danner Mfg. has a 5 year warranty on almost all of their pumps. (This is unheard of for a continuous duty pump). As far as returns, Danner Mfg is the easiest company/vendor I've ever dealt with.

  • @PondEco they are, the most reliable submersible pumps Ive ever used. I've been using a MagDrive 500 and 250 on my saltwater aquarium and they have never given me trouble (the 500 is about 12 years old now while the 250 is about 7 years old).
