Adam.....You are a unique talent for sure. I've been playing with bull whips since I saw Indiana Jones in the mid 80's. I used a 10 foot whip I purchased from a saddle shop in my home town. I now have a 12 foot bull whip called a "black snake" purchased from Kings Saddlery in Sherridan Wyoming 2 summers ago. I love my whip and the hobby. G'day Adam, loved the clip, I'm one of 7 kids off a dairy farm in Australia and my Dad (dec.) taught me to crack a whip at a young age for my own safety when moving cattle on horseback to aid in there direction. I'm only little and love the shock factor when the opportunity arises for me to swing a whip. My Dad also had that smooth action you use. He always cracked a whip as if in slow motion, you reminded me of him. Warmly Annie

im not sure what your opinions are but i cant get my stockwhips swinging smoothly enough should i oil them a bit more so they might loosen up?

If your stockwhips are really dry and have kinks in them from being coiled up improperly, then I would oil them to fix the problem. Otherwise, loose doesn't always mean a whip will swing smoothly.

@reloader2208 If you are planning on conditioning your whips i recommend, Fibings saddle conditioner or Picards saddle conditioner. I love both these products for whips simply because it's made to hold the conditioner in the leather even during rough use ie. cracking. trust me good stuff and you only need to reapply if you use the whip a whole lot,... or every four or five months.
