there are 3 speaker tags for if you ever don't wanna use the mic, u can take it out and put on a speaker tag that covers up the mic hole

I have both the a40s and the ax720s, and I prefer the 720s. Much stronger sound, and I'm able to loacate sounds much better than my Astros.

they give you 1 tag with a hole (for the mic) , and 2 tags without holes... so you don't need to have the hole when you are listening to music or anything else...

My admittedly entry-level Turtle Beach PX21s died, sorta. Left speaker has cut out, which apparently is a known weakness of that model. I'll be looking forward to your review, since I do need a new headset. Not sure I want to drop three bills on one, though? We'll have to see.

Astrosa are NOT that good man, they arent even a true 5.1 headset. it is simulated. so its not that good for directional sound like tha HPA2.

My ax pro headset did break so i will never go for Tritton again, though i use the Tritton ax720 black ops edition now, but that is untill i get my Psyko audio carbon headset.

@loste585 The HPA2/HPX, unless you're using a PC setup or some crazy shit for the Xbox, uses simulated surround as well, genius. You have no idea what you're talking about, so don't post at all. Simulated surround sound is superior to "true" surround in 90% of situations because manufacturers have to squeeze four speakers in each ear and the four speakers are always smaller, which means they are lower quality. With simulated surround you can have 2 quality drivers rather than 8 15mm drivers.

well, you can youse all headsets on a xbox and a ps3. All you need is a surround decoder like the HD Audio Rush 5.1 surrond decoder. With that you can use pc headsets on consoles. And you are right about many headsets have bad audio with 4 speakers like the Tritton ax pros, But with the HPA2 or Psyko audio carbons u have the best directional audio, better than simulated. I guess your not that into audio since u think sim is better
