  • Tial's don't flutter like that if they have the proper spring installed...same as any other brand.

  • This video is great to watch once in a while instead of listening to music! :-)

  • Synchronic sounds better

  • flutter dump

  • Tial bov ftw if you have the right spring in it that is...

  • Tial 50mm FTW on real cars.

  • 2 different types of valve. of course they are different.

  • one word: TIAL

  • nice sound man!!

  • I do not approve of this video, or your marketing techniques...a knockoff bov can be set not to surge....a TIAL can certainly be set not to surge, and you are not fooling anyone...we have all seen tial bov work perfectly, in every scenario

  • @masterthee agreed this comparison is meaningless.

  • That bov and that slow ass Subaru are just destroying your shitty false rigging ass company's rep! have a nice day. your Super-Duper pos bov is some real life JUNK. there is a reason why TiAL is the best of the best.....

  • I have a Tial BOV on my DSM, holds a boost test up to 40 psi, never tired more because, well, I don't boost that high! I boost to 30 psi and never had an issue. They don't leak unless tampered with, nothing against your product, but rigging products to improve your appearance is pretty lame.

  • Just because HKS has a design that holds itself closed does NOT mean others will leak.

If that were the case, nobody would be using anything else. The actual mechanics of the BOV's defying your internal logic tho!

  • tial FTW!

  • The Synchronic line of products are available by registering at SYNAPSEENGINEERING*COM/CART, use referral code YOUTUBE when you register and be eligible for limited edition designs and market pre-releases

  • the fact that you rig others to fail is bad, then you claim your products do the job better than others is also bad. HKS has a piston design that WONT leak any boost under load and yours clearly will if its spring loaded.

    Shame on you.

  • Jizzed.

  • why is a bov better than the flash adjustable waste gate that comes stock?

  • damn that sounds sexy

  • I love how the video named "Tial vs synchronic" and the video starts with the SSK logo. What a joke.

  • i liked the first one more

  • fk synapse

    bs bov

  • my tial 50mm bov is just perfect tial ftw

  • nice

  • sexy

  • can some one tell me which one is better

  • The first one was my favourite, it sounds like wastegate chatter, the second one sounds gay to be honest.

  • @ScottishScoobs It sound like "wastegate chatter" (as you call it), because it is, the boc is not correctly ajusted, it only releases at like full boost.

  • the synapse is just a way for ricers to say," hey look at me, my car is cool" tial is the best sounding functioning bov on the market. there is a reason big hp applications like tt lambo's, r8s, ferarri's, and drag cars only use tial, tamed sound and quality built piece

  • mada facher de mierda

  • Floor it fucking pussy!

  • Comment removed

  • tial all the way.

  • I have a synchronic now. My brother traded me his tial plus 20 bucks because he hated the sound lol. The tial works the same

  • i have respect for anybody tht loves cars like i do but i hate when ppl start hating on other ppls progress they have made

  • my tial sounds just like this and my teg has ran over a yr its not surge learn wtf raw power sounds like

  • dude ur shits surging my tial dont sound like shit an mines on a fuckin neon

  • Lol that surge is not good

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa Thats not surge. Its flutter from and improperly set up BOV. True surge sounds scary.

  • :46

Godbless you, would you like a tissue.

    na, it's just my allergies.

  • I can never get my BOV to pchuu when reving with no load on engine.

  • @tienshenhan86 Rev higher and faster, that should create some boost.

  • the SB001 sounds like a healthy turbo system the Tial ( altho a good bov) sounds like a cobbled up P>O>S that belongs on a honda..

  • @lennyauditt run my pos honda and see wht happens ill dust your ass

  • thats B.s My boy has it on a stroker 2.4 talon on a gt35r c16 at 34psi n his tail doesent surge what soo ever sooo how the fuck does it on a gt30r at 20??

  • wow!!! sooooo much compressor surge.

  • Antistall is a non needed feature with a proper tuning setup. @Josh182389 Yes, you can fit this on your Jetta. You can fit any BOV on your Jetta. Still, there is no need, in most cases you are not maxing out your stock system, so you don't need to upgrade to something that goes woosh when you shift. It gets old like an open wg dump trust me..... unless your car is a drag car.

I had a friend that bought a synchronic... guess what he has on his car today? A Tial.

  • ill go with tial

  • that sounds so sick

  • It's sounds so darn sexy... that turbo is just amazing! I own a 1.8T jetta, can I fit this bov to my car? What does the anti stall thing do??

  • Tial 50mm and GReddy Type S are the best.

  • tial is the way to go

  • Redicilous, I love it.

  • I have Synnapse on both my cars, love it. Suck it fags.

  • Syncronic is crap, you cannot reinvent the wheel you see NOBODY using these on their cars... and they don't know how to select the proper spring for a TIAL. The spring in the video that is causing surge is too stiff. Good thing Tial offers springs for any setup so that this is a NON-issue. Not a good selling point for Synaptic IMO.

  • @kradhax0r Most people with Evos running a stock frame turbo setup w/ MAF are running the Synchronic because it can hold way more boost than any of the recirculating units on the market...

If you run e85, you're boosting around ~30psi on a stock turbo, and most BOVs can't keep up with that.

  • I had to sign in just to post this. It was so necessary. Synchronic, regardless of being a new company or old, should not be getting the bad reputation from some of the morons posting on this video. The video poster isn't attempting to make tial look bad and synchronic good; hes simply comparing 2 BOVs on his setup. The fucking morons talking shit need to pull their head out of their ass and read the VIDEO DESCRIPTION. Biased? No. Completely neutral. Stop being stupid. Thank you.

  • this is stupid! you set the first one up wrong to make yours look good. i will never buy your product coz its obvious you lie as long as it suits you.

    how lame are you seriously.

  • From looking through a few of your videos it seems like a lot of people like to TRY and point out something mistaken about your videos or what they're showing, when there is no reason to at all. you guys handle yourselves really well in response to this! keep up the good work! i enjoy the videos

  • old vid but. I am running on a Tial 50mm and never heard it surge. I am running a P&L gt30r kit, their kit comes included with this BOV. Synchronic is total crap. The Tial unit had to be rigged to make it surge. Stick with companies that are proven to perform time and time again.

  • hold up hold up i had a synchronic bov and on the dyno i lost 7 whp compared to my tial so i dont want to hear any bs from synapse tial ftw

  • @jdmrexx

do you have any dyno sheets?

  • you are only giving it half throttle with the 50mm and full throttle with your bov. besides 50mm set too tight. synapse blows. tial is the way to go

  • Tial bov are not ment to hold up that much hp that's why all u heard was the turbo spining backwards when he shift it sounds cool but it's not good

  • Synaptic your shit is a fucking joke. i hated your stuff when you first came out with it, how are you going to say TiAL is shit, when they are way more successful than your new shitty little company ever will be? i dont see 2500hp Outlaw 10.5 cars running Synchronic BOV's i see TIAL. you guys are jokes.

  • to you idiots claiming the tial flutters under low boost: I'm only running 6psi. My tial does not flutter. ANY sort of flutter = compressor surge which means you don't know what you're doing. Please stop touching boosted cars if you think the fluttering is normal.

  • distrubuter problems ??

  • spectacular the sound of second blow off

  • Tial All Day, And Tials do flutter under low boost, i got a 50 on a Tib on 15psi and anything under 9 it flutters.

  • i vomit on the Synchronic BOV

  • There is a reason you'll see Tial's on just about every race car with a turbo. They work. With the proper spring they will not leak or surge.

This one is improperly installed, it needs a lighter spring.

  • pretty bad compressor surge...

  • Tial sounds better for me...

  • Tial sounds best to me. But still, the very best sound is when NO bov is installed! Then you get the frrrrrrr-sound. That's awsome!

  • omg surge

  • I'd like to hear both BOVs without surge...

  • is it a wrx sti?

  • the tial sounds better to me

  • That's because you're a noob. There's a difference between sounding good and not doing your proper job, and sound great while performing the task you're designed to do. The Synapse BOV, sounds great and is a properly working unit. Noob.

  • how is the tial not working properly... tials are meant for high boost and they flutter until u hit higer psi. makes u a noob for trying to bust on someone who was givin an opinion.. and fyi thats how tials sound(and yes its working properly)

  • one of the nicest vids, good sound and camera

  • What is a ANTI STALL VALVUE?

  • lol that highway pull was hilarious!!! pssshhh psssshhh pssshhh pssshhh

  • So I do not claim to know anything about turbos, im just trying to learn. The Tial was making kind of a schuttering noise but more during the slower pulls. Is that called compressor surge? If so isnt that bad for your turbo? Thanks

  • i love my HKS SSQV!!!...altough i do like the tial:)

  • looks like he should think about a motor mount instead of what bov to use

  • does anyone know if the tial bovs always make that sequential sound?

  • Absolutely, it is called surge/flutter, because it doesn't open fast enough.

  • wow:)

  • I dont know anything about BOV or wastegates..but from an outsiders point of view, the synchronic sounded a bit fake. whether it was alot of pressure or no pressure, it sounded the same. I personally like the TIAL more...but what do i know about turbos?

  • I tried two different spring settings on a Tial, with the higher tension I had an awesome discharge on high boost but surge on low, the other lower tension (there's none in between) discharged right but stayed open for two long making my car stall. I don't follow brands I just try until I found the best for my application!

  • 2:45-2:50 no other BOV/DIVERTER/BY PASS actuates that fast!!NONE!!

  • my BOV discharges at 2 rpm sometimes. idk why....anyone have any idea?

  • BOV doesnt work on rpm, it depends how much boost is there at the time and how quick you close the throttle.

  • I had a Tial bov with the correct spring setting, they only discharge correctly under full boost, on low boost I got surge, now a synchronic discharges even when charging less than 1 psi of boost.

  • Then you had something wrong sir. I've seen many of Tials on multiple cars, and none had a problem discharging. YOU did something wrong, or you had a defective unit.

  • it's all in the design, a piston moves much faster than a diaphragm! Tial are the best for drag racing, but for everything else, Synchronic!

  • you realize that the tial IS a piston. the diaphragm is inside further. have you ever taken a tial apart and rebuilt it?.... maybe you should....

  • Yes, a Tial has a piston, but the sealing & actuating mechanism is a diaphragm. Synchronic does not use a diaphragm. Different springs on the Tial mean different pre-load, or in other words, spring pressures that it will not open under . . .

  • What do I have to do to make my vw 1,8T engine sound like this wrx with the tial bov ? Just add the bov ? Thanx a lot for every answer !!

  • Wow you set the tail way to tight to purpously make it surge. What a joke. Your bov has nothing on anyothers. Its pretty bad when you have to rig stuff to make sales. shame on you.

  • Tial has no adjustment, only different springs, with different loads!

  • @Civicslayr07 Way too tight? Explain

  • wat a bastard cant wait to get a subaru impreza or evolution always gona get it

  • ...wow. this bov might solve some of my compressor-surge issues. I've been abusing my turbo for more than a year w/ my Greddy! :( :( :(

  • THIS VIDEO IS A FORGERY. THEY TOOK SOMEONE ELSE'S VIDEO AND EDITED THE SOUNDTRACK WITHOUT PERMISSION. The original video is someone who had his Tial adjusted for high boost applications but he was only running low boost. It was SUPPOSED to sound that way. The Synapse valve would leak like all hell if run for what the Tial was adjusted. The original video was shot for entertainment.

  • TIAL'S HAS NO ADJUSTMENT!! you select the spring load based on your idle vacuum reading.

  • wow people .. this video isnt showing difference in sounds its showing low throttle testing with surging. Tial BOV is not meant to be on this low powered, low boost vehicle .. as tials site says. the synchronic shows it can be used on lower boost lower powered cars so you dont destroy turbo/motor ...

  • wouldnt exactly say it was low powered.

  • why do people think its all about the sound, shutter=bad, point of synapse, no shutter

  • both sound great!!...prefer the tial :D

  • i personally enjoy the sound of the tial bov and i think thats what im going to purchase

  • Do you think the sound will be much different without the external wastegate ?

  • it wont differ at all weather it has external or internal wastey it just the pressure its boosting which can change the sound

  • a bti of surge, but i love it.

  • so you just slapped on a tial 50 mm bov on to make that sound?

  • No...read the description

  • So a friend of mine has a Tial on his setup and now is running a GT3076R and it doesn't flutter at all like your car seems to, sounds like the wrong spring, finally with your Synchronic it sounds just like the Tial amazing.

  • its the external waste gate your hearing

  • more like bov no external w g on this wrx

  • thanks yoffer someone finally understands you cant just put a bov on and expect it to work perfect as with anything turbo related

  • Seriously? lol

Why dont you try using the correct spring for the tial bov.

  • I like the Tial BOV

  • in the begging when the sti has the tial at low boost is that sound a really bad turbo surge or is that the type of bov?

  • This Q is for non-ricers:

Why is it that road race cars don't use a BOV?

  • They do. A good chunk of the pro's use an integrated BOV thats built into their turbo. All the rest know that you dont need to be noisy to be fast. They have'em, you just dont hear it. A noisy BOV is really just for show.

  • Because the blow-off valve isnt always nessacarily needed on a car, especially hard tuned. Just like putting a bov on a stock wrx is bad for it because the ECU wants the vent to come back through the intake and will cause your shifts to run lean.

  • Other way around if you put an atmospheric BOV on a wrx or wrx sti it will make you run really rich between shifts. Reason is its looking for the air thats dumped back into the intake from the bypass valve and it sends more fuel in to burn it off but because the air is no longer there its just fuel causing it to be come rich.

  • I literally JUST said that.

  • oh yeah synchronic all the way. no more surging

  • Comment removed

  • Synchronic hands down !! that sound is killer

  • You're an idiot. And a gullible one too.

  • The point of the video is to show how Synapse eliminates compressor surge..which yes is bad for the turbo

  • Tial sounds nicer but it has compresser surge. 454sskilla it basically means air is going backwards into the turbo houseing spinning the turbine the opposite way.

  • thats bad right??

  • Uh yeah, it'll fuck up your turbo bad. It usually happens with upgraded bigger turbos.

  • you can get rid of it then...

  • maybe some the boost line is hooked up wrong...

  • hey the first one sounded like it had some compressor surge is that bad for the car?

  • Yeah its very bad for the turbo,

  • tial sounds bad ass. way prefered over synchronic

  • lol awesome 2:43

  • Uhh sounds like compressor surge...

  • nice isn't it XD

  • Sex to my ear drums

  • orgasm to the ear

  • Hmmm does he not have it adjusted properly sounds like it has compressor surge.

  • Great Blow Off Ventil ... What bar ? 1,0 ?

  • Well it says 20 psi, so wouldn't that be like 1 1/4 bar?

  • oh okey .. what mark ? Who i can buy this ?

  • pretty close...1 bar is 14 psi

  • Pretty close. 1 bar = 14.503 psi

  • 14,3 psi = 1 bar

  • corky bells book is a little old not saying its not great info but things have changed some since! but the basics are still the same

  • So many people that say a compressor surge is bad probably can't even explain why they think it's bad.

  • surge isnt to bad on the turbos but it depends on how much surge your getting and how high boost is on the surge! on road cars this is generally between 2000 and 3000 RPM, compressor surge is not much of a problem, as the loads generated by the surge are small compared to what the turbo encounters at high boost. if surge occurs at high RPM and boost, it is possible to reduce the turbo life and/or damage the compressor.

  • maybe because its trying to stop a rotating

    object @ 100,000 rpms?

  • need a heavier spring da...... that work fix that

  • wow the syncronich sounds way better

  • Compressor surge is NOT bad for turbos. I would love to see the sources where people are getting this info from. Corky Bell (author of Maximum Boost) said it's not bad, so I'm going to go with him on this.

  • any self respecting turbo nut will tell you how and why compressor surge is bad. Small amounts will not hurt the compressor/shaft. But don't tell me letting off 20psi isn't going to warm that shaft in two weeks.

  • In theory it could be bad, but it just doesn't happen. Corky Bell knows what he's talking about ;)

  • you'll snap your damn shaft if you continue to surge buddy, shows how much you know. You can believe one source for one magizine. Everyone else that is smart knows that surge is bad. Period

  • Holy compressor surge batman!

  • NO thats not the stock turbo its a Garrett GT30R and its got compressor surge on top of that

  • big turbo??

a stock turbo doesn't sound like that no?

  • My Tial 50mm never surged that badly using a GT35R at 22psi, but that Synapse valve doesn't surge period!

  • car sounds amazing is it nessasary to have a BOV or is it just better for the engine and turbos health?

  • is this the 9psi spring??

  • would the tial bov with the 50 mm spring make the same noise as this video with a aftermarket top mount insted of a front mount???

  • Yea It would

  • Ice3power- I went to reply and YT deleted your comment. Anyhow, the more boost you run, the higher the shaft speed of the turbo, the greater the impact that surge/flutter will have. Have your buddy check the diapgragm on his Greddy, it is probably torn. That happens alot with those. That's why we don't have diaphragms in our designs.

  • This Has To Be The Best Sounding Blowoff-valve Iv Seen On Yutube!

  • same shit, surge in both

  • i agree totally.... there is surge in the stupidchronic is up high.. it cant keep up with the 20 psi in the wrx... i would hate to see what it cant do with my 30 psi in my starlet gt...... i would take my hks valve anyday bud i have had nio leaks at all and it still opens early and flutters a little but u know flutter doesnt kill turbos at all i ran my car at 30 psi for months with no bov and OMG its still in one piece...... who needs a bov on a street car anyways.... really......

  • synapse. i hate your company mostly for your ways of conjuring people into believing that all the tial bov does is flutter, maybe if you would have used the right spring instead of being like most tards who just buy the highest pound spring cause they think they need it, you wouldnt have had a problem with flutter.

  • There's no doctoring here, the spring in the instructions is what was used. It doesn't flutter all the time, but it will always flutter before you reach the threshold of the spring that you're using. And if you use too light of a spring, it leaks boost.
