  • Amazing, amazing movie. what a voice. what a dance. just beautiful.

  • I loved this video clip and downloaded the whole movie. I can feel the blood of my ancestors pulsing through my veins when I hear this music.

  • Tp3500 sounds like an ignorant individual....to bad you miss out on great culture that has been under the thumb of many governments.....what a creepy thing to say!

  • @tp3500

What an absurd and obnoxious thing to say.

  • @tp3500 they stole my heart

  • @tp3500 This is obviously a typical comment made either by an underaged child or by an ignorant adult who avoids mirrors; I wouldn't be surprised if you have not any of these (mirrors) in the hole- you call home- where you come out crawling on your belly day, after day, after day ...

  • @tp3500 I suggest that you keep your comments to yourself so others won't know what a truly ugly person you are! I have many insults for a person like you, but I shall hold back my tongue as I don't want them below this video!

  • I wish I was in this movie shaking my hips:)

  • just amazing! love it!!!

  • My goodness! My sweet goodness! That voice! That pure, beaming voice! That tone, that beautiful magnificent tone. AAAHHHHHH!

  • Oh my Allah! i love the Mawwal

  • The singing, dancing and lyrics illustrates the ancient traditions of the world .

    Outstanding music and singing.

  • The great joy of community dancing - with children to the side learning these pleasures. We have less of this all the time in America. But one can still find folk dancing around Washington DC if look for it. I feel jealous! Love this movie.

  • lilianelle it is a love song and mostly about a woman yes.

but it's a very difficult song to translate, it's multilayered jumping from one image to another rapidly and the different verses don't add up to a single narrative, they just share a single mood.

the chorus likens a woman to "Dorah Shami" which is some kind of field maize.

  • Does anyone have a partial or general translation of the song? Is it a song to a woman?

  • teşekkürler

  • there is just something in this music which resonates deep within my soul. . . its unbelievable how familiar it is. pure soul and pure spirit. pure love. thank you so much for posting this.

  • maybe it is that what we have lost.

  • I totally agree. Our lives have become so complicated and complex.
