It happened last night and i swear i thought i saw someone sitting in the chair beside of my bed, but when i woke up..of course nothing was there, i could hear a weird buzzing sound, and whispers T_T it's really interesting yet frightening.
wow this guy is correct bout this. i get sleep paralysis 3 to 2 times a month , but my experence is unpleasent and sometimes im confused about it, for awhile i thought i was crazy but it is comforting that im not the only one.
I suffer big style with this....sharks, 5" spiders 5"scorpions. you name it. It's attacked me. Burned alive, stabbed and swallowed by snakes. Had these dream regularly from 14. I'm Narcoleptic and so-called Schitzophrenic. the voice and the dreams are connected. I believe its a spirit. It's always stuff to scare the shit out of you and this voice that i hear when i'm awake has a mind of it's own Not a bible basher....but when i think about Jesus while having an attack it stops. Freaky huh

I've never flown or anything in a dream and I've never experienced sleep paralysis.. but, I have dreamed that I was running from something but, I was in slow mo.. I do feel so bad for people who suffer with sleep paralysis though, it must be terrifying..
It happen to me earlier today, I was up and I tried so freakin hard to move but couldn't/ Then I saw a spider craw on my pillow towards my hand. When I actually woke up, it was nothing there. I had this sleep thing for so many years now.
I have sleep paralysis every now and then. From my experience, it tends to happen when you are under a lot of stress or if you have a bad sleeping habit. I usually go to bed very late at night, and so I sometimes have trouble trying to sleep. This is when sleep paralysis sometimes happen.
... Then, last night i had a stranger dream and woke up with a small girl staring into me by my bedside again. From both times, i shook myself out of the paralysed state and i had to catch my breath as my jaw had dropped. This is the most itneresting/mysterious and terrifying thing that has happened to me in my life. I am so itnerested with this-dreams etc. I kid you not this really happened, i obviously can't tell friends (i've tried) and make them believe me.
@Gears182 yeah, waking up to a sleep paralysis is similar to waking up from a bad dream. In both instances, you get a really chilling or "panic" feeling after you wake up. It's normal that you have those sensation after waking up to a sleep paralysis.
This happens to me a few times a week. I think it's because i am quite sleep deprived, not out of choice, i just stay awake quite late into the morning.
I have came on here searching MORE, (I have looked into it previously), because last night i experienced something very strange. for the past two nights it has happened. i come out of it and shake myself out then fall asleep again. I woke up monday night and hallucinated seeing a small boy by bedside. it makes my skin crawl writing this....
It happens to African Americans because they practice with voodoo and idles that are not of God, more located in Africa. They are more in tune with the spirit world, but not that good kind. No sleep paralysis is real and your mind is not playing tricks on you. I have had this occur three X to me. My child woke up, I went to put her back to sleep and then i went to sleep and 2 seconds in bed I couldn't move and i felt an evil presence in the room and i couldn't move, open my eyes. Jesus saves.
It happened to me when I was 8 years old.this woman with blue eye a pure white face laid on my chest and I could not move she stared into my eyes i could tell she was pure evil I tried to scream but I was unable to say anything,i name her the bitch with the blue hoody.
damn, that happened to me a few times. im always escaping from something and i end up jumping off the stairs in my familys house but those dreams stoped for me. it always gives me a weird feeling on my chest.
its happen to me twice in a row:/ i was just laying there and i try to open my eyes but i couldnt i couldnt move or talk so i was trying my hardest to snap out of it an i knew that it was happening.all i could think was..omg not again.I snapped out of it then fell right back asleep but then it happened again!... i honestly couldnt tell if i was in reality or not...
This just happen to me! Except i didn't see any "ghost" or "demon" but thats my problem. I have a huge imagination, and have nightmares of the creepiest things, What will happen if i do see them? I don't want to sleep :,(
it happened to me today and it wasnt the first time but i was still so scared it was weird cuz i never see things all i see is black and my breathing starts to speed up and onnce i could start moving again i thought it wouldnt happen again so i tried going to sleep again and it happed again it always starts with my breathing speeding up then i just cant move
I'm 16 and I still get this sometimes. But it's not that common for me. I can open my eyes and after a wile of not being able to move, I do start moving but it feels like I'm going in slow motion and I'm still in the state of seeing things and hearing things (from my dream) and I find that I do say what I'm saying in my dreams. This has been happening to me ever since I was like 4... D: It happened to my twice in one night before. It's creepy at times...
I have done the staircase thing, that was pretty wild, haha. I have a couple big trees in my backyard and I had a dream I was on top one of them looking onto my house the my backyard. Then I fell, and I hit the ground, and it was weird I felt like I was going to hit it my body tensed up and everything, but all it was was like a very light, idk how to describe it (also I heard from my parents that I fell off my bed that night), then nobody was around I screamed MOOOM!!! (I was 11-12 haha)
Ive had sleep paralysis when I was 12. I juss remember not moving. And getting so freaked out that I wanted to say MOMM!. I was scarred. So I just went back to sleep cus thats all u can do. It seems like ur eyes are open. But there really like fluttering (my grandpa said). Idk I thought my eyes where open. I didnt see any hallucinations. Or watever. I juss.. Wanted to get outta bed...
I get sleep paralysis almost every night, usually before falling asleep, rather than after waking up. It's happened to me regularly since i was a little kid. It used to be really scary but I've learned to master it and use it enter into astral projection or lucid dreams. I consider it as a gift rather than a disorder or whatever. Also yes I've had flying dreams, on quite a few occasions, I even had one where I flew out into space and looked down at the earth. It was fuckin amazing.
fuck yea lol i felt like i was falling or something and i accually kicked and this happened multiple times and yesterday night i constatly kept on having sleep paralysis and it freaked the shit out of me but it took me till 4 in moring till i was able to sleep with out it but thanks man cuz i havent had much sleep cuz ive had to leave town and stuff and i wasent able to sleep much so sleep does have a big ass affect on it
You can experience all those things by having a lucid dream. There are several methods of having lucid dreams, for more info you can go to dreamviews (google it)
One of the methods (WILD - Wake Induced Lucid Dream) actually involves going into sleep paralysis on purpose and then after it's done you end up in a lucid dream.
i this few weeks ago, im bipolar and i was just unsure if it had anything to do with that cause i do get tactile hallucinations during some episodes. but my husband had gone latvia and i was alone and i woke up and i saw a guy coming through my window and i would hear it and see it so vivid that it wasnt a dream and i got scared and fell back to sleep, and woke up and i had my husband calling all his friends to see if it was actually real. had to determind between reality thats what scared me
I hate that shit. You dream about having some food or something you want. You feel like it's so real and it's right there. You wake up, and then it's not there.
Its happened to me over 13 times and I had good sleep when they happened. I beleived that I was attacked by one of the 3-4 spirits in my home. Paranormaal things have happened in the house. I felt like there was this weigth in my chest and at the same time I panicked cuz I felt like a energy vampire was draining my energy. I have a pic of one of the ghosts. google ghosts 411 and look in d pic section its labeled Little ghost girl in my room. ^_^
I have experianced it. 4 or 5 times 8 months ago . i was scared to go to sleep sometime thinking what if it happens again. didnt know about this. I have prctised trying to control things while i'm asleep. I can think in my dream i can sometime do something i know i normaly cant really do. i know this all my sound weird to, but since i was paralysed i dont play with it anymore.

When I get sleep paralysis the only thing that can get me un-stuck is by praying to Jesus. He releases me instantly every time. I believe this is a demonic attack on your spirit. My prayers are with you guys. It can be verrrry frightening but Jesus can release you from that. Much love! God bless!
Im just sharing with you what helps me. Jesus loves you & wants to spend eternity with you. That is why He died for our filth and rose again. He is alive & actively participates in my life in supernatural ways. Its not religion, I have a relationship with the living God. Jesus said "If anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world." John 12:47 Jesus desires to have a relationship with you. GodBless<3
used to happen to me every night but lately it hasn't happened in the past 2 weeks i told my friend about it and he said its got to do with astral projection
cant believe all the videos on this subject. Im at the point where I know i'll have one just by how I feel before going to sleep. Started using ear plugs to 'listen' to what I sense because you can feel an ebb and flow like a tide. This is what puts me to sleep but eventually causes me to spin. The spin is whats terrifying. You cant move. You have to just go with it. And if you dont know what im talking about, you should be so lucky.
It happened to me last night while I was falling asleep. Not exactly the same as when waking up. I was so tired, I was trying to fall asleep, and I was, but then I realized, I was still awake, and I couldn't move, I was so scared. But somehow, I woke mybody up. It kept happening after that. It was on and off for like an hour. AHH. it was horrible, but kind of cool O.o
okey here is my story, i'm colombian, when i was a kid i experienced this like one or two times, no big deal... 4 months ago i started to have this like one time a week but not only like a sleep paralysis, also with a extrange feeling and sounds in my head, like a vibration in all my body and like if my body was in the air..It is so strange, it happens to me like 3 days in a week, sometimes like 5 times in the same day... it's strange... too strange !
This is an extreme problem for me. I experience this alot and it's such a burden... I'm too afarid of going to sleep now and nobody can help me. Voices scream at me at night, things that dont make sence, but still. "Want a fruit? Wanna f-f-f... FRUIT?! Want a fruit with that cookie?" and they swear and scream and I get a headache...
Wow dang same here last night was crazy cuz I saw my room with jus my right eye open n my left was shut lol I have sleep paralysis n I've kinda learned how to deal with it when it happens
I always get em and today for the first time I saw one side of my room with one eye and another side with the other. Kinda like in the iSpy movie with Eddie Murphy.
This has been happening to me since I was 5 and I a 25 now. I never told anyone about it and still haven't. It wasn't as scary as people make it out to be. This usually happens to me when I think of scary things before I sleep or I feel stressed or I eat a huge late night fast food meal. The first time it happened I immediately relaxed myself and counted to 3 or 5 and jumped up quickly as possible and this is still what I do when it happens.
i have been having sleep paralysis since i was 16. i am 21 now and it still is occuring. when i was 17 and 18 i would sometimes have it happen to me 3-4 times a week. i would say i have had it happen around 70 times or so. i had sleep paralysis last night for the first time in about a month. it is a really freaky thing and wish it didnt happen.
Just had the whole Sleep Paralysis thing happen to me about 3 hours ago. It felt like I woke up, I could open my eyes alittle and could see my room, but I could not move. I could hear myself breathing, and I could only look forward. Thats when I heard the combination being tappped into my barracks room door, and I heard someone walk in! I heard the voice of another guy in my platoon say "Where were you?" and I tried to answer, but couldnt! Finaly I woke up. Its been happening alot lately!
I'm Half black and Half white! I had it last night and it was the the scariest thing ever! I couldnt move! I was like WTF! And I could see stuff all over
Experienced sleep paralysis today in Algebra class. It freaked me out, and when i could move and turned around and told the guys by me, one said it was sleep paralysis and he'd read about it. So, here i am. Oh yeah, and it felt really hard to breathe!
@Tpathpslm557 OMG! I had one last night! I was crying while it was happening when I could move I ran to my moms room and woke her up! I was freaking out! I could see stuff all over my room but couldnt move or breathe!
@MyPSPHelper Same here. I keep having dreams of horrible weather, terrorist attacks, nukes, etc. And the one I've been having so much is of UFO's and aliens
I keep havin dreams about the world ending. Or some catastrophic, global event that wipes out most of the population. One was a nuke, another was a global meteor storm, etc.
If you don't sleep enough and try to sleep it all at once during the weekends, you could have delusional experiences that you wouldn't when you're awake.
I have that but I wake up and I'm still asleep but I can move around and it's really scary because I am dreaming but no one can wake me up. It happens almost every day and every time it will be the same dream.
I experience crazy feelings when im falling asleep. Its like in the half awake half sleep i might have.a short lucid dream and wake back up and iv had dreams about jumping but in my dream i would be in a large department store and they were escelators i were jumping
I had this dream when I was younger for a while, It was in my upstairs hallway/corridor and I was in my bedroom, In the dream I sat up and in the hallway a little nuclear bomb(Size of.. a Freddo!) and it fell slowly to the ground and there was a mass explosion coming towards me in the dream. Then I woke up. Dont have a clue what this means but It happend for a month or so
it happened to me once but it was creepy as hell because i was dreaming about some one chocking me but i couldnt move BUT my eyes were open it was as SHIT
Ive had this happen to me atleast ten times in the past three months. it only happens when i super stressed out or when I stress myself out about not being able to go to sleep . At first, I thought that I had encountered some type of ghost or something because it felt like i was being pressed to my bed, my eyes opened slightly atleast I think they did but my body would not move. I would wait for it to pass and freak myself out and stay up all hours of the night.

I've never had sleep paralysis, but I get tons of lucid dreams. Some weeks, I get one every day. So I've done plenty of flying and stuff :) Why wouldn't you want to fly?! My next goal is to speak to my subconscious!
In my normal dreams though, I've had this thing where I'm speaking, but I'm not really speaking and nobody can hear me. It's the most frustrating thing that I've ever experienced.
On my 7th birthday I had this dream about a chocolate birthday cake. I was in my bunkbed and there was a conveyor belt at the top and my cake weent through it and got crushed at the end. It was really disturbing even though it doesn't sound it.
Also when I was little and I had the flu or something, I always used to get hallucinations.
I have been experiencing sleep paralysis about 15 times in the last 2 months. I will fall asleep on my couch and wake up right after some crazy dreams which usually feel very very real. Like I was in a bath tub and couldn't move and kept sliding down but couldn't stop or move myself. When I awoke my eyes were open but my body would not move. I usually can move a finger or something and keep forcing it until I awake but if i start to fall back asleep it all paralysis again. So frustrating:(
This happened to me once, paralyzed for a few seconds, feeling like something was pressing on my chest, o and i sow pyramid head from silent hill 2 for a few seconds standing over me... aaa good times :-).
i recovered quickly after it happened because i knew about Sleep Paralysis.
I thought I woke up, but it was how my bedroom used to look (furniture has been moved around), but at the time this didn't bother me as it wouldn't in a dream. Anyway, as soon as I was about to get out of bed, a Black Figured looking Demon thing started choking and strangling me, I couldn't breath, I was gagging for air, I tried screaming but no sound came out I also tried to hit it or get it off me, but I was limp and couldn't move it had yellow eyes and had a tight grip around my neck.
this is acually very easy to induce. just lay on your back in your bed, where a blindfold, and don't move at all. the first time it might take a while, but past your third time or so, it won't take long. I can induce it in about five minutes. i induce every night before bed. the feeling is crazy. When you know what it is, it is easy to shake off.
will post video soon but Im a Narcoleptic ... i do the whole mircosleep - which is where im walking and fall asleep but still walking ... working and fall asleep but still functioning and etc ... i often from time to time have cataplexy and lose control of my muscles in either the whole body or selected areas .. i sleep talk .. i have excessive daytime sleepiness .. being that im a narcoleptic we fall asleep and drift into the dream state immeditately and dont acquire the deep sleep needed
I've had hypnogogic hallucinations I've seen alot weird shit & I heard alot of weird voices...have had a so called demon on my stomach & it cut my stomach open I ever felt the pain...it hurt too.....I've heard a voice saying I'm going to be just like my father who was miserable & depressed...I also heard the voice of God telling me I'm going to have a very very very hard life...so yeah i've had them & they've been very fuckin negative....but sorry God I ain't becoming a christian so deal with it
Yeah I get sleep paralysis sometimes. The last one i remember was I woke up and I saw an old man by my bed, only his back tho. He was wearing this yellow back pack. I felt like I was being pushed down to my bed and I couldn't move at all. This lasted for like 15 mins and then he went and i could move again :) It was scary tho :/
If you really wanna learn more about dreaming take Lucid Dreaming as the next step! It's where your aware your dreaming and with practice, can control and speak to your dreams. So far it's a great experience for me and I'm new to it but already have some occomplishements which are making me excited. Can't wait to spleep tonight :p
@TheNarutoAMVs i dont talk to my dreams but i do have the ability to pull my self from out of them when i want ... but just finding out that im a narcoleptic shows that i dream more often than others and can recall them so vividly .. like ijust wrote my dream down from last night its crazy
@colorblind89 haha cool. i just had a lucid dream this morning.. and a false awakening which made me think i lost lucidity haha. I was fooled by my subconscious lol.
ah man i get and got this alot.. but i it was far worse before lol, like i member few nights i was dragged to the floor and shit, and then there was one time an old lady was putting her hand over my mouth. but i dont see much now.. but i get somthing different which i want help with, where im sleeping and i cant get out of my dream, and im aware im dreaming but i wont wake the fuck up, can anyone help me??? i need answers.
@TheDJscrue The old lady is known as 'the old hag syndrome' I have experienced this myself, its pretty scary. I suffer from this alot aswell. Do you do anything to take your mind of it while its happening? I tend to swear inside my mind.
@emogeorgixxx wel best thing i tend to do is shut my eyes so i dont see it , then i relax and tell myself "been here done this" and laugh, but relax and then try move your toes, userlly i just break r snap out of it with in 15 to 20 seconds , key thing is to stay calm, and keep telling your self it isnt real.
This happens to my boyfriend for the past 5 years he's been experincing this at times we will be asleep and his eyes would be open N he talks but the words don't come out...it scares me because I don't know if I should try waking him up...hell twitch, his eyes will wonder open n make sounds...when he wakes up he tells me he calls my name and I don't hear him and he says he's awake and can't move he feels as if someone is pulling him...too
@AwShucksImani you labled yourself as a african american ..... i don't play here, take it easy nobody here's racist, don't attack yourself, and let's stick to the topic pls.
@AwShucksImani of course i know there are blacks, but why do you feel the need to etiquete yourself as AfroAmerican, i dont know if you remember but here the topic is SP not colour, and i dont know how ethnicity can influence SP.
and it only happens when I sleep on my back, which is also a common characteristic. So, if anyone is reading this, sleep on your side and see if it helps.
@nyamcz. hehe, no =) It's common for people to hear voices durring sleep paralysis and is accompanied with hypnogogic or hypnopompic hallucinations. These are dreams. Schizophrenia is just an auditory hallucination in an awakened state.
@AwShucksImani what do you meen african american? are you american or african? dose exist also eruopean american, asian american, australian american? seriously WTF?
The first time I had it was when I was 5! And then sparatically throughout my life like once every year up until like 2 years ago when it started to become more recent and reoccuring like a few times a month! My doctor didnt tell me anything! I feel like I'm going to die..it feels like I'm drowing then I snap out of it real quick. We need a CURE..I'm scared to go to sleep!
ive got it it fucking suckkkssssssssss i saw lights comming from my fan and a buzzzzin sound and had both arms laid out crucifiction style and was paralized i was awake couldnt move and a hand went over my face i broke free fell of bed busted my head on the weight bench i had another one where these beings shoved a car looking intina thing in my nose heres where things get weird i snapped out was laughing then looked on my chest blood was everywhere my hands to and it was comming from my nose
ive got it it fucking suckkkssssssssss i saw lights comming from my fan and a buzzzzin sound and had both arms laid out crucifiction style and was paralized i was awake couldnt move and a hand went over my face i broke free fell of bed busted my head on the weight bench
I have experienced sleep paralysis since I was 5years of age...
I'm sharing just to say the data is not always accurate... I've been tested...
Anywhoo...
During my sleep paralysis...
I've seen are been show things which have actually come to pass, such as the passing of my mother, the birth of my sisters child whom she had know idea she was even pregnant yet... and a few other things...
once I was told to write a number which later became very significant...
this happened to me LAST NIGHT, and it was pretty scary at first.
I sleep on my stomach so i felt like there was something sitting on my back. And i can hear a ringing noise, and everything i saw was blurred.
I remember struggling as hard i can ever struggle to move, and all i could do was move my index finger and breath faster. Eventually i woke up after like 2 mins
@TheHKKingKong i was scared too cuz i kina felt like a demon or some fuckin creepy ass shadow were like lurking onto me. i just remember being exactly still for like an hour. i went to bed around 11pm and like stared at the clock displaying a green light 11:46 and then i transitioned from the state of awakening to almost sleeping. except i wasnt sleeping. i was in between those 2 worlds and it was for an hour or so until i became present it the awakening world. and then i looked it was1am. fuck
@alexv0009 wow you were stuck in it for an hour? that must've sucked haha.
But ya, from now on I'm just gonna remain calm, its only when i started struggling that i started hearing things and seeing images of faces, just scaring myself i guess.
And in chinese this is called "ghost sitting on you", and that phrase didnt help at the time either lol... definately did some research and realized its called "sleep paralysis"
@TheHKKingKong for some wierd fucking reason, i kinda liked it. i felt like i was communicating with like a few spirits or something like that. it was probably all in my head. ive heard that for some people its a horrifying thing and a constant bother, while others consider it as a gift. i think i do too, but its somewhat creepy.. "ghost sitting on you" matches almosst exactly how i felt man. cuz i was like lying on my stomach and i felt like some force or some shit was like on top sitting on me
Last time it happened to me was just a couple months ago and it seriously scares the shit out of me because it seriously feels like its something there and i just gotta get away but i cant because i cant move my arms or anything. and even if i can see the whole room and that there's nothing there i still get this panicy-feeling which just makes my heart race :P. had worse things like this when i was younger though but its to much to explain for it to fit in the comment section :P
I'm 16 it happened a year ago. i remember it vividly- 1st i could not move or close my eyes.then out of nowhere some dark figure resembling a woman was ontop of me.she grabbed my neck and starting screaming in my ear.the sound was ear piercing and i tried to wake but all i could do was look into her mysterious eyes trembling in fear.then my eyes began to close involunteerly,i could see the outline of my eyelids and i woke with an obnoxious buzzing noise in my ear.
I'm 25 and have hypnogogic hallucinations every night. I'm completely aware of my surroundings. But, things start coming in my room. Voices speak loudly in my ear. Things/people come in and morbidly attack me and I can feel the pain. It's the most terrifying feeling. I've gotten to the point where I can tell myself it may be the hallucination, but I can't always tell if it isn't REALLY happening. Is it the dream? Or is there really someone in my room that broke into my house? it sucks.
@nyamcz hehe, no =) It's common for people to hear voices durring sleep paralysis and is accompanied with hypnogogic or hypnopompic hallucinations. These are dreams. Schizophrenia is just an auditory hallucination in an awakened state.
@EmeraldBeat Noone broke ito your house lol. But It's perfectly normal. I suffer from the exact same thing almost. I swear to myself in my head till it goes away, as weird as it may sound. I suffer from this like alot, and have reasearched it aswell. It's not real, it's just your mind taking over your body. :)
well I am caucasian, and I experience it all the time, like 2-3 times a sleep session, usually right as I am falling into sleep, I will have a few "false starts" as I call them, whereupon falling asleep, I fall into the paralysis, fight my way out of it a few times, before falling into real sleep. it sucks.
i'v had it happen three times in my life, i'm 15. once when i was about 10, 12 and then i think when i was 14 or 13. i woke up, eyes open and i could not move but the most terrifying thing was that i could not breath. all three times i was completely paralyzedly and could not breath and it fucked me up a lot.
an americans diet can always be healthier! but thats really it man. i just wanted to share with you...i hope you read this i see your videos older than my wisdom of the matter. but yea.... you can touch up on that topic again if you think my comment >>>moved you<<< lol
the cartoons the light and stayed up seriously until i passed out without me realizing it.... the next day i googled "awake but not awake" google this and it will return you "awake but still sleep" and i found a website that said sleep paralysis...i'm good at english so i abrubtly knew this is what i was looking for...it relieved me fully... i knew i wasnt completely mental lol lol...... but i found out its not harmful...it wont harm you pshycally. but it is incurable... this is said to be the,,
the sleep paralysis state, i just knew it by the familiar feeling of not being able to move, or breathe, but this time for the first and only time i saw something. i saw a spirit wolf, looking like a spirit and looking like a big ass wolf! (my great gradmothers native american) i saw this wolf, head first, step out of my body...from where i lay....stand next to me... look at me... and roar!!! I immediatley woke up,,, so scared, i wanted to cry...i did not want to go back to sleep...i cut on....
watched Twilight Eclipse at my home(thats the one with the pack story right?) ok well i have played around with their ideas since i read the book in the spring/summer of '10 the idea of being a spirit wolf.. just the spirit part where the wolf comes out of them as they lay their in their bodies..... well after i watched the movie two days later i had sleep paralysis,(i still hadn't heard of it at this point) i layed on my back in the dark and fell asleep... i woke up opened my eyes but i was in
anything of it, i just continued to stare straight at my ceiling... and at some point i decided to move but i couldnt... i tried to move and i couldnt... (i'm african american) i tried to breathe in and i couldnt'....this scared me alot... it actually scared me the most. well i finally breathed in and i told my cousin i had stopped breathing.... that was all i ever spoke of it even though i continued to experience regularly until now... the most recent occurance was nov/early dec 2010. i had....
in my head.... it was weird, i would be a lil shaken, it's happened dozens of times but i never mentioned it to anyone except my cousin. he was there when it first occured, he was in my room on the other twin bed but they were together like a bigger bed. i was laying down with my eyes open and i dont know if i closed them but i fell asleep with them open(my dad's in the military so i've actually practiced this but not really succeeded) but at some point i realized i was awake but i didnt think..
yea i have sleep paralysis. i've had it for a while since i was like 14, i'm turining 21.... i didnt know what it was until a couple months ago. until then i just thought it was something related to my asthma i had since 2nd grade... i would be falling asleep but my eyes would be open then i doze off and my eyes shut but i realize i'm falling asleep and open my eyes back up. but then i cant move, thinking to myself "move, wiggle your toe, pick up this arm" couldnt breahte i felt like screaming
They say this happens also to Lucid dreamers. I am training my mind to have lucid dreams but a major side effect is sleep paralysis. This scares me, i fear greatly that in one of my dreams i will have sleep paralysis..does anyone know about lucid dreams and if this has happened to them? Does it have long term affects on people? i mean if this happened to this guy and he remembers it since when he was 13 it had to of been traumatic
@DukeLacrosse13 Just dont think about it in your dream. I find if i hope something doesnt happen in a lucid dream it will happen. Just put it out of your mind and remember that sleep paralysis isnt always scary and that it is just a hypnogogic hallucination its all in your mind.
When I have SP i get it where my eyes are open and im aware of everything in my room. The scary part of it is I get these buzzing sensations throughout my body every time i try to move. And i feel like something is touching me. It is very terrifying. Sometimes I dont even want to go back to sleep because im scared im going to get it again.
@spector1991 Exactly..... My eyes are the onlt thing that can move when it happens to me. I too have felt the touching and wierd buzzing and it is uber scary. It's like when you lock your keys in your car or get a speeding ticket. For at least a week after, you avidly keep up with your keys or religeously watch your speed. Same with this, you just pray that it doesn't happen everytime you go to sleep.
Not regularly but once or twice. I just felt like my body was numb and I could open my eyes. I kept trying to move but I couldn't. Eventually I could move my shoulders and then I came out of shortly.
it is not sleep paralysis it is a lie , you can talk in your sleep cant you ? then why cant you speak when your attacked ? huh? yah . how can it be sleep paralysis if your not asleep? the buzzing sound just before you are paralyzed , i have heard while awake next to my wife who was asleep.
To continue from below. I'm use to feeling the pressure of something laying on me but it has never come through my blanket. This time freaked me out because it felt very close but didn't feel human. I also freaked because I felt it turn it's head on the back of my head( i was asleep on my stomach) and it slide it's hand a little further down under me as if to hold me tighter , the hand on my hip never moved. I started my toe wiggle and prayed til I woke up. Nothing was there of course.
I had one last night that kind of freaked me out, because it was so different from what I usually feel. I never see anything on purpose because I've had it since childhood and I sleep under a blanket at all times. Plus I try never to sleep on my back. To make a long story short I thought I heard something come into my room and that something layed across my back and put one hand on my hip and the other slide up under me and I could feel it's head on the back of my head.
I had this once when i was 12 and i saw a beachball moving around the room slowly.
My body was paralyzed and i tried to call for help, and was like oh shit the balls going to kill me now somehow. I swear, i felt like that. Its so f*cking odd and it scared the shit out of me, im 21 now but next time i get this im going to close my eyes.
I pity you guys who get this often, maybe its time to sleep normally? Cause i slept with my hands on my back.
Ive had in my 'dreams' satan came over and started tearin up my apartment and i was somehow bound and unable to speak. I woke up terrified but glad to be in the real world. It was so crazy and i know it sounds like a fairytale but it felt so real just like im typing right now. I think in our deep sleep we step out into the spirit world.
had it last night, its a huge problem, i saw a black shadow moving towards me and i had never felt more helpless/alone before, honestly thought i was going to die
usually u are with open eyes ... and also usually appear when dont sleep enough and u play with any kind of magic ... spirit contact and stuff like these .. and it gos away if u coll Jesus if u dont believe me try and see for yourself So Sleep Paralysis for me is evil related .. dont care if ather pll try to paint these in nice colors
I know it's 3 years past, but it's never too late!
Well, I don't wanna change what any of you think, but "sleep paralysis" is a well known part of parapsychological studies, and also named "vibrational state", the preceding state of a phenomenon known as "astral projection". If you wanna know more about it, just google it.
And to those that don't like "waking up" like this, try to touch your fingers, for example...or think of your body. The same for the ones that hear the loud sound!
@Pedrooko and science is bullshit used to make you think they know it all, BULL if your not asleep and experience the same stuff then you know the difference, like being thrown down or hearing shit when your awake ,
Yes. It is true that it happens to Arican Americans. I did research on this subject a few semesters ago and that was because it happen to me. I don't know about the UFO part and the Alien parts. All that happens is being stuck in my sleep, can't breathe fully, and there's this really loud sound in the head. Yes, this thing is creepy at times. It dones't bother me because it doesn't hurt me, but it's annoying.
If you think scary it will become scary Once i halucinated (spell Fail) i was really scared i imagened somone coming from the bathroom What happens!?? Someone comes!!! then i hit my self in the face and the it stopped!
This happens to me sometimes. I usually get scared and start hearing scary laughter but I never see anything scary. I always try to wake myself up before I see something scary lol Its only happened a handful of times to me though. I have dreams very often too.
Wassssup Frank haven't been on in a long time love your work hon I find this interesting I have issues with paralysis I was looking for your BEST video called Only Words I can not find it? Maybe you could send it to me?
Ive been suffering from SP for a couple years now. i feel like it started this horrible downward spiral of mt life. i used to hallucinate invisible presences and an old women in my room and have a horrible thought that something is trying to kill me but i couldn't wake up. i was able to blink when it was happening but i would shut them and just pray that i would wake up but i couldn't and i felt like someone getting closer to me. i became afraid to sleep now. its completely fucked me up.
Hey dude....i experience some of the things u mentioned like running fast and flying and escaping from someone etc.....im surprised that other people experience this.....
It happened last night and i swear i thought i saw someone sitting in the chair beside of my bed, but when i woke up..of course nothing was there, i could hear a weird buzzing sound, and whispers T_T it's really interesting yet frightening.

I have sleep paralysis every now and then. From my experience, it tends to happen when you are under a lot of stress or if you have a bad sleeping habit. I usually go to bed very late at night, and so I sometimes have trouble trying to sleep. This is when sleep paralysis sometimes happen.
VF5 2 months ago
Gears182 3 months ago
@Gears182 yeah, waking up to a sleep paralysis is similar to waking up from a bad dream. In both instances, you get a really chilling or "panic" feeling after you wake up. It's normal that you have those sensation after waking up to a sleep paralysis.
VF5 2 months ago

Jesus said "If anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world." John 12:47 Jesus desires to have a relationship with you. cant believe all the videos on this subject.

I could hear myself breathing, and I could only look forward. Thats when I heard the combination being tappped into my barracks room door, and I heard someone walk in!

@TheDJscrue The old lady is known as 'the old hag syndrome' I have experienced this myself, its pretty scary. I suffer from this alot aswell. Do you do anything to take your mind of it while its happening? I tend to swear inside my mind.
emogeorgixxx 10 months ago
@emogeorgixxx wel best thing i tend to do is shut my eyes so i dont see it , then i relax and tell myself "been here done this" and laugh, but relax and then try move your toes, userlly i just break r snap out of it with in 15 to 20 seconds , key thing is to stay calm, and keep telling your self it isnt real.

RuralGypsy 11 months ago
this happened to me LAST NIGHT, and it was pretty scary at first.
I sleep on my stomach so i felt like there was something sitting on my back. And i can hear a ringing noise, and everything i saw was blurred.
I remember struggling as hard i can ever struggle to move, and all i could do was move my index finger and breath faster. Eventually i woke up after like 2 mins
TheHKKingKong 11 months ago
@TheHKKingKong i was scared too cuz i kina felt like a demon or some fuckin creepy ass shadow were like lurking onto me. i just remember being exactly still for like an hour. i went to bed around 11pm and like stared at the clock displaying a green light 11:46 and then i transitioned from the state of awakening to almost sleeping. except i wasnt sleeping. i was in between those 2 worlds and it was for an hour or so until i became present it the awakening world. and then i looked it was1am. fuck
alexv0009 11 months ago
@alexv0009 wow you were stuck in it for an hour? that must've sucked haha.
But ya, from now on I'm just gonna remain calm, its only when i started struggling that i started hearing things and seeing images of faces, just scaring myself i guess.
And in chinese this is called "ghost sitting on you", and that phrase didnt help at the time either lol... definately did some research and realized its called "sleep paralysis"
TheHKKingKong 11 months ago
@TheHKKingKong for some wierd fucking reason, i kinda liked it. i felt like i was communicating with like a few spirits or something like that. it was probably all in my head. ive heard that for some people its a horrifying thing and a constant bother, while others consider it as a gift. i think i do too, but its somewhat creepy.. "ghost sitting on you" matches almosst exactly how i felt man. cuz i was like lying on my stomach and i felt like some force or some shit was like on top sitting on me
alexv0009 11 months ago

Last time it happened to me was just a couple months ago and it seriously scares the shit out of me because it seriously feels like its something there and i just gotta get away but i cant because i cant move my arms or anything. and even if i can see the whole room and that there's nothing there i still get this panicy-feeling which just makes my heart race :P. had worse things like this when i was younger though but its to much to explain for it to fit in the comment section :P

I'm 16 it happened a year ago. i remember it vividly- 1st i could not move or close my eyes.then out of nowhere some dark figure resembling a woman was ontop of me.she grabbed my neck and starting screaming in my ear.the sound was ear piercing and i tried to wake but all i could do was look into her mysterious eyes trembling in fear.then my eyes began to close involunteerly,i could see the outline of my eyelids and i woke with an obnoxious buzzing noise in my ear.
barnsby7 11 months ago
I'm 25 and have hypnogogic hallucinations every night. I'm completely aware of my surroundings. But, things start coming in my room. Voices speak loudly in my ear. Things/people come in and morbidly attack me and I can feel the pain. It's the most terrifying feeling. I've gotten to the point where I can tell myself it may be the hallucination, but I can't always tell if it isn't REALLY happening. Is it the dream? Or is there really someone in my room that broke into my house? it sucks.

well I am caucasian, and I experience it all the time, like 2-3 times a sleep session, usually right as I am falling into sleep, I will have a few "false starts" as I call them, whereupon falling asleep, I fall into the paralysis, fight my way out of it a few times, before falling into real sleep. it sucks.
PageofLegend 11 months ago
i'v had it happen three times in my life, i'm 15. once when i was about 10, 12 and then i think when i was 14 or 13. i woke up, eyes open and i could not move but the most terrifying thing was that i could not breath. all three times i was completely paralyzedly and could not breath and it fucked me up a lot.

the sleep paralysis state, i just knew it by the familiar feeling of not being able to move, or breathe, but this time for the first and only time i saw something. i saw a spirit wolf, looking like a spirit and looking like a big ass wolf! (my great gradmothers native american) i saw this wolf, head first, step out of my body...from where i lay....stand next to me... look at me... and roar!!! I immediatley woke up,,, so scared, i wanted to cry...i did not want to go back to sleep...i cut on....

watched Twilight Eclipse at my home(thats the one with the pack story right?) ok well i have played around with their ideas since i read the book in the spring/summer of '10 the idea of being a spirit wolf.. just the spirit part where the wolf comes out of them as they lay their in their bodies..... well after i watched the movie two days later i had sleep paralysis,(i still hadn't heard of it at this point) i layed on my back in the dark and fell asleep... i woke up opened my eyes but i was in

kartoon281 11 months ago
in my head.... it was weird, i would be a lil shaken, it's happened dozens of times but i never mentioned it to anyone except my cousin. he was there when it first occured, he was in my room on the other twin bed but they were together like a bigger bed. i was laying down with my eyes open and i dont know if i closed them but i fell asleep with them open(my dad's in the military so i've actually practiced this but not really succeeded) but at some point i realized i was awake but i didnt think..
kartoon281 11 months ago
yea i have sleep paralysis. i've had it for a while since i was like 14, i'm turining 21.... i didnt know what it was until a couple months ago. until then i just thought it was something related to my asthma i had since 2nd grade... i would be falling asleep but my eyes would be open then i doze off and my eyes shut but i realize i'm falling asleep and open my eyes back up. but then i cant move, thinking to myself "move, wiggle your toe, pick up this arm" couldnt breahte i felt like screaming

DukeLacrosse13 1 year ago
@DukeLacrosse13 Just dont think about it in your dream. I find if i hope something doesnt happen in a lucid dream it will happen. Just put it out of your mind and remember that sleep paralysis isnt always scary and that it is just a hypnogogic hallucination its all in your mind.

When I have SP i get it where my eyes are open and im aware of everything in my room. The scary part of it is I get these buzzing sensations throughout my body every time i try to move. And i feel like something is touching me. It is very terrifying. Sometimes I dont even want to go back to sleep because im scared im going to get it again.
spector1991 1 year ago

To make a long story short I thought I heard something come into my room and that something layed across my back and put one hand on my hip and the other slide up under me and I could feel it's head on the back of my head.
ludy123 1 year ago
