You're not using the Limited Edition Gold Wiimote. That's clearly the issue.
(You can reset the remote which might help)

@shoelace07 This is actually true, Tom. My brother has been playing SS and he's never had an issue because his mechanical arm can do a perfect 180 degree angle.
