  • why is "thumbs down" even a option for this song

  • A W E S O M E ! ! ! ! !

  • still got dibs on d'arcy

  • 4 people have been disarmed of intelligence

  • billy corgan had hair?!! i thought he was always bald

  • I miss the days listening to this over and over and now all I hear on the radio is freakin rise against, just noise

  • I would love to live in the 90 ... Why was I born near the end of those glory days? Now I have to live with idiots who don't know anything about music ¬ ¬

  • @diegoxgnr i know how u feel! I was born in like 92!! missed all the good stuff! now its all wack music lol

  • @egyptianpirateninja me is 91 i wish i was a child of the 80s so i could live the 90s in all style of musik and livestyle :)

  • @Olilalala yea that would be pretty awesome!! ^_^

  • It is simply the best..a masterpiece, thx Billy

  • I love this music video!

I love the Smashing Pumpkins videos!

  • I remember in High School smoking weed and listening to this song on repeat...Shit i miss those days NO WORRIES!

  • I like this song =D

  • This should be the Theme song against child abuse. This song is about Billy and his brother being abused by their parents.

  • This should be the Theme song against child abuse. This song is about billy and his brother being abused by their parents.

  • yep music in the 90's just rule!!

  • @Dirtyknuckles305 NO DOUBT!! Everything these days is garbage.

  • @316greg lol, you just named two bands from the 90s in your sentence. No Doubt and Garbage.

  • @sumoni That's hilarious i didn't even realize that. Good catch on that one. LOL

  • music kinda died when the devil invented boy bands and stereotype rap/pop music has kinda gone downhill i love rock and il be damned if it ever dies cuz this is real music since it comes from billie's thoughts and feelings not from some paid writer who comes up with crap like tik tok and also cuz its personal not full of lyrics talking about sex with tons of bitches, dancing at clubs, and being so pimp and shit like that

  • @BlueOctoberFan456 I SOOOO AGREE!!!!

  • @BlueOctoberFan456 Rock&Roll will live there are still great bands out there you just have tho want to hear them so I'm gonna give you a tip Poets Of The Fall, Cage The Elephant, Breaking Benjamin, and Sunrise Avenue. Enjoy and god bless

  • @nicholsjoshua15 breaking benjamin is a fucking awesome band. ive heard of cage the elephant but ive never heard of those other bands. thanks though

  • ummmmmm it's about abortion..........just sayin

  • @346221 lol yeah i know

but it does have a purpose.

  • @346221 No its about Billy Corgans Father and Mother abusing him and his little brother whom had Cerebral Palsy. His mom would let her boyfriend beat them, and when he would spend time with his father he would ship them off to their abusive grandmother.

  • I agree. i am part of a band and i want to write songs like this where the lyrics actually mean something other than partying or breakups or sex or money. well the point is... check out my channell. we dont have any originals up and all of our videos are ones that were requested. but after we get our originals copywrited, we will have them up. maybe you can see my influence. i am a metal guitarist with softer roots. i grew up listing to this music, and i would like kids from more generations too

  • You have got to be kidding me. I can't believe people these days consider Rap as a 'music genre', after listening to this there is no other genre.

  • @pwntacious And they take beats from older songs and dumb asses sell out to them.. HATE THAT CRAP!

  • @pwntacious You should spread that around. maby it'll catch on and rap will end. =D. I really hate music nowadays.

  • was 18 years old when this album came out.... as a kid left to his own devices at 8 years old, knew right away what that song was about.

heartfelt song that changed my life forever.... and the first one I learned to play on guitar !

  • great song, kinda seems more MCIS than siamese dream

  • it's music like this that reminds us that we're still human.

  • @cpnfeathersword0409 agree that this song is amazing, but what does that even mean...? it reminds us that were human..? ive heard that before and im wondering what ur trying to say!1

  • has to be my favorite band

  • such a great song! sigh, music these days really dont compare to music of the 90s. =\

  • @AznBetty86 nooo dont say that, that means we are getting old. good music is still out there its just changing! whats amazing about SM is that they will never be forgotten they are amazing.

  • @marqujud LOL, we ARE getting old! don't deny it. haha

Now we're stuck with crap like britney; although i admit I really like lady gaga.

  • there was plenty of shit music in the 90s too. don't act like 90s was only good music. There's good music from the 80s as well as the naughts and poptentially the teens too. Just allow yourself to be open to it

  • i dunno alot of the 80s and 90s stuff i hear tends to be rock and alot of it to my belief was now days its seems pop and electro seem to be one of the only things i hear especially along the mainstream lines

  • @AznBetty86 I totally agree music of the 90s was the best!!!

  • @AznBetty86 well said my friend

  • @AznBetty86 i dont agree. of the same genre, maybe. but you do what you can with one genre and then another one may spring up. it might be good, or not. for example electronic music these days is growing by the second. its better than ever before. it doesn't mean that music on a whole is worse.

  • @AznBetty86 90s and way before .In my opinion its has little combination of 70s till the end of 90s when you concentrate both on music and lyrics.

  • @AznBetty86 90s and way before .In my opinion its has little combination of 80s till the end of 90s when you concentrate both on music and lyrics. But it's not compared to present well maybe if i look at some records of diffrent artist it is but if you pay attention to the same band its not ,which is a good thing because there are many bands that change into worst condition and the people who used to listen to that band and many people still listen to this band like me.

  • @AznBetty86 There is barely any good music from the 90's. It's all about the 80's, 70's and some 60's.

  • @BrahnTheHandyMan u outta your mind???

sublime, rhcp, 90's dance/house tracks, blink, third eye blind, green day..smashing pumpkins...............

although I will say 80's music and everything prior shits all over todays filth; excrement poisoning the minds over the radiowaves

  • @pinksockjoey11 I said barely not no good music. RHCP, and smashing is the only good thing you listed anyways...

  • @BrahnTheHandyMan SAY WHAT!!?!!!

    sonnington!!

    blink 182 = awaesome banf

    sublime = sublime band (LOL!!!!)

Radiohead/3eb/GD/Blind Melon/Spice girls = shits all over todays filth!!!!!

  • @pinksockjoey11 Lol blind melon has that one fucking song.. Blink 182 is gay as fuck...

  • Such an awesome song, very well rounded. Maybe my favorite Smashing Pumpkins tune ever! The y rock!

  • god this is such a great song. siamese dream was like right before the pumpkins were about to hit their peak with mellon collie. billy's lyrics, melodies and singing on this song just fucking rock. every album is different but there was a consistent quality to them. i hope hope hope he will make another SP album like he use to. screw that "im gonna release a bunch of singles", thing. make a good album billy you can do it!

  • @eatALOTsleepALOT Just need a Smashing Pumpkins reunion tour and that would satisfy the world almost as much as John Lennon being ressurected.

  • @Ninjafruit123 Always thought John Lennon resembled Christ in many ways. People revere him in the same way also.

  • nice, i can play this on the guitar.

  • he is such a talented song writer!!!!!!!

  • Awesome track.

My favourite of theirs as well.

  • one of the best song and video made by SP

  • This song is so great,it wakes up my sadness and a lot of emotions together, they way billy sings it,and what it says,it's really emotive.....i love it,i love this band!!

  • My favourite Pumpkins song ever!

  • Disarm you with a smile And cut you like you want me to Cut that little child Inside of me and such a part of you Ooh, the years burn I used to be a little boy So old in my shoes And what I choose is my choice Whats a boy supposed to do? The killer in me is the killer in you My love I send this smile over to you
  • I miss the 90's myself I was a fan of these guys since '95.

  • I am without words

  • I MISS THE 90's.... I NEED A TIME MACHINE!! =(. damn...great yeers...

  • yea and now our country is in the shiter.

  • what's a girl supposed to do? listen to you all!

  • My comment was a reply to reak7835 but for some reason my replys never go under the comment I'm replying to : {

  • Love it.

  • OK, I love this song so much but I think the lyrics "what I choose is my choice" is kind of funny :D

  • what a nastalgic song this is for me.i was young but this great of a song will define a feeling . maybe its just the memory of innocence that i remember. non the less im still connected to that time with this song.

  • This and Tonight, Tonight, are my all time favorite Smashing Pumpkins songs.

  • This, Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness, and Tonight, Tonight, are three of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

  • Heart + soul + talent = Super !!!!

  • This video is beautiful.

  • I LOVE YOU BILLY!

  • this is the song i want to hear at my deathbed. for me it summons life into a twirl of pain, love and loss...

  • i heard on an interview with billy and d'arcy that the crowds would mosh (yes you read it right mosh) to the song disarm... they didn't quite understand it...and neither can i...i mean it is a pretty deep song and has alot of meaning and is in a way a "heavy" song but moshing to disarm!?!? weird... what do you all you youtubers think about that?

  • I think that sometimes people are retarded. This is supposed to make you think. Billy doesnt really like moshing to begin with either.

  • fair enough... thanx 4 the reply :)

  • I think moshing is stupid too. I guess those people weren't really paying attention to the meaning of the song.

  • People were trying to mosh at the A perfect cicle concert I went to a few years ago, and after the song Maynayd just kinda looked at the audience and said "Well that was interesting" , I thought it was funny.

  • i can play this song............

  • its pretty easy 2 play. i got the greatest hits cd and i just listened to like half of it and i figured it out. its pretty much my favorite song to play even tho its so easy.

  • Ditto.

  • omg billy can fly

wait why doesnt that suprise me

oh yea cause billy is ckark kent

  • lol me too

  • no,now he's Lex Luther

  • XD boy is that true

  • amazing band amazing song...is billie corgan bald now?

  • yes

i always though he was cooler with hair

  • D"ARCY LOOKS BEAUTIFUL IN THIS VIDEO!

  • She is always.. so, so beatiful! No matter what video if you ask me.

  • True that! But except for when she is hooked on crack.

  • i like monay

  • magnificaNT video!!band and lyrics!!forever a legendary band

  • billy Corgan es un Dios!

  • Nobody in the mainstream really makes music this good anymore...its truly a shame. Instead of the Pumpkins ruling the charts its the Plain White T's and Fall Out Boy...honestly I thought Zeitgeist was an amazing album, but critics fucking panned it and it fell off the charts. Why must people be so blind???

  • this song is realy realy good. i lovee it

  • they were so good, why did they stop?

  • It sounds like a song describing his past childhood, or a big memory from his past with his family or brother, as far as I know, it's just a guess.

  • That's pretty much the gist of it. It's about the fractured relationship Billy Corgan (the lead singer/guitarist, for those who didn't know) had with his parents when he was a boy.

  • What is this song about? It's so powerful, I love it and I really want to fully understand what he's talking about. Anyon got any ideas?

  • Do songs always have to describe one special circumstance? I think music lives of the chance to hear and feel what is inside you. We will never have the chance to get to know waht billy corgan influenced to write this song unless he tells us and even then it could be way different because music comes right out of you. It passes no filter and you can not influence it. So music is kind of a gift god gvae to us.

  • For some odd reason I'm reminded of Final Fantasy Tactics... don't ask, dunno why.

  • I don't blame D'arcy, she's like a crack addict now lol. seriously she is.

  • she is got her self clean and now raises horses

  • And something about antiques, I believe. >.>"

  • Why should she raise horses? doesnt she earn enough money with Smashing Pumpkins?

  • It's not necessarily just about the money.

  • exacley

  • is that right...when did she get clean...this is news to me so...

  • this is mi fav song in da whole fucking world!

  • this song is played during the last meeting of the strike team forever in The Shield, one of the strongest scenes of the show

  • Yes, you know it's possible that the two new members might actually be musicians as well! Ok, I miss Iha. But goodbye D'arcy, Ginger obviously a much better musician (though sometimes I wonder if her heart's in this band). And maybe Jeff's good, I dunno.

  • the point is music my friend... music

  • I'm so pissed that neither D'arcy or James are coming back. What's the point of having a reunion if the whole band's not reunited?!

  • i'm going to their concert in venice june 16 does anyone know whos gonna be playing besides billy?

    i really wanna know

  • I'm envious.... Jimmy Chamberlin the drummer is confirmed in the new Pumpkins.

  • great, i love jimmy!

  • this is for always and ever, like smashing pumpkins in general...

  • tht song has a feeling...its so special, the video's great! probably the best song ive ever hear!!! smashing pumkins rocks! cant wait to see their new stuff <3<3

  • I jus love this song! it reminds me of my own youth that i misspendt..

  • i like the sound effects like the bells and violin and the whole video

  • Each of their Videos was a work of art ... they were much more then just a music band. Not to mention that D'arcy was the hottest woman in music at the time ; ) I can't wait to hear their new stuff coming out this Fall.

  • yeah, well just remember d'arcy and iha won't be back in the "new" pumpkinheads

  • wooow! i like this videooo it`s my favorite group
