  • type the word before youtube inorder to win it really works!!

  • The guy at 1:11 looks like shy ronnie.

  • 0:30 i am pretty sure he is channeling zappa

  • I'm the guy with the Mo-hawk at 1:45

The crazy xylophone tapping and tambourine playing in the background is me too. I wish they would have showed me playing my instruments a little bit more. I was rocking out so hard!

Check out my amazing comedy show on my youtube channel. Zombiecon NYC 2009 is one of my favs!

  • hey i want that sheet music

  • cute girl @ 1:42

    total douche @ 1:52

  • I'm the guy you called a "total douche" . I have more talent in my penis alone than you have with your whole body. Now, if you add in my hands and arms...forget about it. Check out my comedy show on my youtube channel. You'll be seeing a lot more of get used to it. I'm going places.

  • lol, Greg's laugh at the end. Such a cool guy.

  • One of the best, yes. They will be niche-y, like Captain Beefheart, but beloved, and they may break bigger, like say Flaming Lips.

They are the best band of their generation - ok tell me who is as good because I want to hear all of it.

  • deerhunter. check em out, pretty sure you'll like em if you haven't heard of t hem already. also no age, abe vigoda, crystal antlers, vivian girls

  • I can't wait to listen to them, thanks so much for the suggestions.

  • hudson mohawk, flying lotus, mike slott. welcome to the future.

  • @georgethepuppy08

haha, all of those bands are a bore compared to deerhoof.

  • whats deerhoof's best album?

  • All of them.

  • in the interest of furthering their music, I'd suggest you get 'the runners four', then proceed to 'offend maggie', then delve back into the catalog a bit and pick up 'reveille', and if you're feeling adventurous, try 'the man, the king, the girl'....but whatever you do, please do listen to this band NOW before they run out of their manic energy!

  • lol. thanksh.

  • I forgot Apple O', how could I forget Apple O'...so good...

  • I would correct you..her beautiful lullabyes cater to a hardened soul. They used to be a "Difficult Music" category...maybe that's it.

  • Yeah, theirs is "experimental music" alright: It's experiments with our patience.

  • Angelicbass wrote to ask if I'm an artist or a musician. The answer is neither. I'm a professional nudnik.

  • The guy says that their music will leak too early. Is he talking music or prostate trouble?

  • oh my gosh, i know that dude with in the blue shirt and a mohawk- his name is josh m. WHOA

  • lol

  • aw come on! crap??? deerhoof???? not a pinch of doubt one of the greatest bands ever. mind-blowingly orchestrated pop music, album after album consistent perfection, challenging instrumental complexity fused effortlessly with sparkling pop melodies. and if youre talking about the idea being crap, you've either got no sense of humor or you're jealous of their creativity.

  • Your math fundamentals are a little weak.

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. You're 99% douchebag.

  • I'm glad you enjoy nice melodies and meaningful lyrics. Deerhoof's music is artful, compelling, fresh, innovative, musically succinct, fun. I can definitely understand why you don't like it though.

  • In order for you to appreciate it you would likely have to listen to their album 3 or 4 times until your mind could adapt to the unusual composition. It's like wine or beer. When you drink it for the very first time it tastes horrible. After a while you develop a taste, and it often becomes a sophisticated and multilayered pleasure. Even a generic beer like Bud takes time to develop a taste for.

  • Beer, wine and Deerhoof have something in common. All make me pee.

  • No kapish. If I say that Deerhoof is crap and you say that it's artful, compelling, fresh, innovative and musically succinct, that puts you on the opposite spectrum so how then can you say that you understand why I don't like it?

  • I can understand why you don't like it because I can be a person who enjoys nice melodies and meaningful lyrics and not be in the mood for artistic experimentation. Sometimes I don't have the willingness to hear something different and I find things outside my comfort zone offensive. The way you are responding sounds like someone who is offended by the music, not like someone who doesn't like it. In my experience, people offended by art are frustrated by their lack of ability to understand it.

  • What that video is has nothing to do with "art." Call it what it is--garbage.

  • Yes, that is exactly my point. You either have absolutely no present ability to comprehend and empathize with the work, or you are a person that has other emotional issues and only wishes to offend others in order to appease himself. Either way, your opinions have lost any objective validity they may have had. Like I have intimated, you may not like the music, but to label it as garbage is meaningless and self-referential. In other words, your opinion no longer has value.

  • Hey look, you multisyllabic clown--stop dressing up all your bullshit ideas in Christmas wrapping because it doesn't work with me. Maybe others might be impressed with your philosophical and psychological treatises but not I. When I see a cow, I call it a cow.

Put lipstick on a pig and you still have a pig. Produce crap and call it pop music is still crap. Get it, Dr. Freud?

  • Hahaha! Oh well. You are right. From your point of view it is crap.

  • Right and you can bet my viewpoint is right on spot. I don't cotton to weirdos pretending to be relatives of Chopin.

  • Wow-you really don't understand do you?

Sorry to waste your time and to waste mine.

  • Your kind of a twat aren't you?

  • Twat'd you call me?

  • If you don't dig it fine. Don't fuck those that do. What are you the some sort of Hipster cop?

  • You Tube is dedicated to permitting all opinions and you have the nerve to try to dictate what I write and don't write? My comments remain on point. This video is for assaholahs; it's childish, meaningless, goofy and a terrible use of bandwidth.

  • It's meaningful to me. I recorded a version of First Born from the sheet music, great fun, a creative idea. Goofy is ok with me, better than self-important jaded VH1 rocker biographies for instance - now there's a waste of hours of bandwidth. A little childlike in their enthusiasm and lack of inhibition, I'd say, rather than childish. They range from naif to sophisticate (Oberlin Masters in music), I like that. Aren't you sick to death of same-y alt/emo/indie/metal/punk/pop/whiny drone boys?

  • Y'know, everyone has their own opinion about music, and that's cool. It's subjective. But specifically going out of your way to bring down something you don't get is just, well, DICK of you. I mean, who are you trying to convince, and why?

  • wow, Deerhoof is fun.

  • It's not leaking if you put it out yourself. Try "Deerhoof 'releases' their own sheet music for their own song"

  • The just loading now, haha I don't see it yet

  • i remember Deerhoof. They were kind of sucky, but in a cool way.

  • it's not an advertisement, the band is just making their song available for free to whoever wants to record a version. they will post your version of the song. no $ involved!

but you're right that it's not a contest, there's no winner

  • I was hoping that this was like a contest, but I guess it's an advertisement :(

  • that's a neat idea
