@rd1999 Islam is not the product of Christianity, thats a wrong idea you've got there. Islam comes from the root word salam which means 'peace' and also originates from the word 'silm' which means 'submission to the will of Allah the almighty God' in short Islam means ''Peace acquired by submitting one's will to Allah''. All the prophets starting from Adam to Muhammad peace be upon them all preached nothing but Islam but the followers they changed it from time to time. Qur'an is d last revelation
It's obvious to most of us that their beliefs are ridiculous and they deviate from mainstream religions...Unfortunately, social influence plays a major role in keeping cult members blind :(...even if you put the evidence right in their face they refuse to accept it
@Nazam44 Well, since you misuse the text that is your issue (like I mentioned in the video). Here is the actual verse you deliberately misuse: "But women will be saved through childbearing - IF THEY CONTINUE IN FAITH, love and holiness with propriety." 1 Timothy 2:15
@xchampx I don't remember you mentioning this specific verse in the video. But for Paul salvation is brought about only through the death of Jesus. But for the author of Timothy, for women at least, they will be saved by bearing children provided that they have faith.
@Nazam44 "It hard to know what the author exactly meant but it certainly does not mean what Paul meant. " You kinda confused me here....This is like me saying: "I said this, but i did not really say it."
@xchampx Meaning what ever the author meant he did not mean what Paul meant when he says that a person is saved through faith alone. Whereas the author of Timothy is saying that for women, at least, are saved by faith and maternity. BTW, I think in the past I try to add you as a friend but I accidently pressed the "Block User" button.
@Nazam44 I see what you are saying, but he is not saying that if you give childbirth you are saved. I put the emphasis in caps. Faith is the keyword i wanted to pull out. Paul's message is consistent and quite clear, so is Jesus' you are saved by your faith and your faith alone. True faith produces good works.
@xchampx Faith alone is not found no where in Timothy. We're told in chapter 2 of 1 Timothy that women are not to take part in the charismatic activity of the assembly or exercise authority. As long as women perform their role as wives and mothers in faith their salvation is assured but if they don't then they have no such guarantee.
@Nazam44 Go read Genesis 15, Habakuk 2, Galatians 3, Ephesians, Romans, Hebrews 11, and Jesus' healings. It is all done through faith. Oh, and take out the word "continues in faith" and it changes everything that was said in 1 Timothy 2. So, you must look at the surrounding message of the bible. You cant pick and choose just one form of the bible for your favor. You must look at what else Paul said.
@xchampx I actually don't believe that the Pastrols (1 & 2 Timothy and Titus) were written by Paul as do the consensus of modern Biblical scholarship including Evangelical scholars such as Howard Marshall. They were probably written by the same author but just not by Paul. Here's a video from a NT class taught in Yale University that may be helpful in understanding as to why scholars have come to this conclusion; /watch?v=T_m10CyD-fs
@Nazam44 "I don't remember you mentioning this specific verse in the video." I never mentioned specific verses. I was talking explicitly about cults taking verses out of context. That is was I was referring to. You are misusing the text.
I love your cat. Every religion is a cult...every religion started as a cult. "The word cult pejoratively refers to a group whose beliefs or practices are considered abnormal or bizarre." - The early Christian church was thought of bizarre because they were very reformed Jews and were not accepted by the mainstream until Emperor Constantine's conversion.
you think Islam is the product of Christianity?

How do you interpret 1 Tim 2:15 when it says that women will be saved by having children and not just faith alone?
