Dave Here. UPDATE: Instead of mounting the speaker right above the door, I'd recommend mounting it up higher where the wall meets the ceiling due to volume levels. Also, I've found an AC 9volt adapter for the wireless body pack online for $15. That way we wouldn't have to continuously feed the body pack 9 volts.
Dave Here. Yes.. we want access to the amp for people to be able to plug in and have volume control of music players and microphones. I think it would look nicer if we did run the cables along the ceiling. We definitely have enough cable to do that. I'll just have to see if the lift can go that high.
any reason we dont put the amp behind the wall upstairs (vs getting lock box)? do we need to have frequent access to it? also we should make cable runs along cieling and fish the wire down rather than around doors etc.
tom again, so the body pack would be using house mix off the board? or a matrix output?
i really like idea of running cat5 for video up near speaker for a monitor too. if we get up into loft we can plan potential cable/power routes.
