My sis and i have problems but we both love The Dead. My mother had promised to buy us tickets the summer's tour. Sadly in a global way, Jerry died. We never got to go to that concert together.........
I can only find this on vhs tape does anyone know if they put it on dvd? i bought it when it came out in'88?89? anyway glad to have it here- thanks for always posting it Kuma
Best version ever played. Notice the harmony is amazing and Jerry's guitar playing is the most developed in this song. Also Jerry's singing is in top form. I can listen to it over and over!!! Superb Jamming Session to boot!
Every birthday (4/1), I break this VHS out for a birthday present to myself, then back away in the collection for the rest of the year. I've celebrated 22 years with this, the greatest VHS I ever bought. Thanks for posting this series of "SO FAR" songs...a true treasure!! Only 4 days to go!!
My friend and I used to watch sunsets every night with beer and a little somthin... I'd play some Zeppelin... he turned me on to the Dead. He got to like Zep... as I got to love the Dead. '77 I got tix to Zep in the Kingdome in Seattle. In '78 he got tix to the Dead...Seattle Paramount. So I'm waiting for my friend outside of Paramount... havin a "smoke"... dude walks up and I offer a "toke"... then he knocks on door, it opens, and he says, "Enjoy the show." It was Jerry !!! I had NO idea
I love the ending with the crowd interaction.I can definately say going to a Dead concert is Spiritual and beautiful and always left me with a huge smile on my face.Man, I miss them.
I don't know about my love, but the audience participation is definitely bigger than a Cadillac!

Good ol' Grateful Dead, bless them.
Those of us who have seen them play live are SO lucky to have been alive at this time.
Of all the billions of years that the Universe has been standing, only the past short few have included the Grateful Dead. How lucky we are.
Mind you, any day above ground is a good day, I always say. Peace, all.
